That's the truth. The ones on Revo cater to the tourists so will speak good english but higher prices. Best prices I know are at Piri Pharmacy across from the Wax Museum near the arch. But unless you are buying huge quantities or very expensive meds, the difference in prices will be minor. Farmacia Ahora or Farmacia Mas Barata are two common chains with decent prices.

People walk in Tijuana but not so much in the dark. Local transport buses are in great use.

New Border drop off shuttle travels via Zona giving some what a crude version of Amsterdam Red light district. Seen groups of Euro tourist walk in day light at times. Asian couple in HK exit via the alley to Revo.

No, it sounds like sheer lunacy. You are not the first, nor last, gringo to visit the alley. If you show up, wander a bit, do your business, and leave, the hassle chances go down. If you wander aimlessly for hours, you do become a spectacle.

Yes, gringos are targeted more than locals because most dopey gringos carry pocketsful of dollars. Mexicans still get hit up, but elsewhere in town. Why jack up a poor guy on Coahuila when the bars are full of rich pendejos. So, my response was to always carry nothing but pesos. Losing 200 p or, at max, 500 p in a mordida is far better than a $20 or $100. From personal experience, I've seen a cop's demeanor change when he saw me pull out a wad of pesos instead of a wad of Benjamins and Jacksons.

I've done the strategy where if I see policias coming I talk to a paradita. I've walked through them but sometimes you get this feeling. I think it helps cause then you can get away from policias without making you look suspicious.

I came downstairs from Ibiza and maybe took ten steps towards the Oxxo. I stand around a bit when I'm hunting so it isn't something I haven't done before. I see other guys do it as well. I looked everywhere but I didn't see them coming. When they got me my thought was what if I would've gone back to Coahuila Hotel to rest. Which I thought about doing but I didn't want to go up three floors. That's not resting. My other thought was this area is as good as any to get caught by policia. I don't think I want to run into them on Constitucion between el callejon and Calle Coahuila when is dark if that's where they came from.

The police can stop you day or night. The law is they are allowed to. My mexican friends who live in Tijuana have never been stopped. So yes, if you look gringo you are going to be stopped eventually. Sometimes I'll tell a street girl to meet me in her hotel in 2 minutes to keep the whole street a little less aware of what's up. Of course if they are paying close attention they can figure it out. Everytime you stop to talk to a girl you have 3 dozen people watching you, cops, military, drug dealers, other girls, the bar staff that stands outside, the cab guys, the loiterers. I'd imagine if cops see you go up a 2nd time you are really on their radar. In terms of other hotels, I also prefer ibiza so I can take a shower. The sheets are clean in none of the places. Most don't let you use the sheet in these hotels it's right on the comforter. I even took a girl from Gloria's up, recently, due to her willing to take what I had left, which was half hk price, it wasnt good sex, no kissing, but worst all it was sex on comforter.
