The other thing to remember is that the US girls will often disappear for weeks if not months at a time. Jamie was stopped working for a year. I stopped by the hotel that Britney hangs out at. This hotel is located just south of Nino's Hero's and the alley on the east side of the street. This the first hotel as you head south. The manager told me that Britney passed away and has not been around in awhile. I have not seen Britney in a few months so it's hard to tell. Britney looked healthy the last time I saw her. Went to Tijuana and arrived around 6 pm. Decided to try LOS Arco's for dinner and had a nice meal. Ordered the cream of Shrimp soup and the stuffed shrimp. Went to Zona afterwards and arrived around 8:30 pm. Walked around for awhile and did not see any US girls out. Called Lindsey, but she said she was busy for a few hours. The police stopped on the west end of the alley near the Ninos Hero's on the south side. This is just a just before you reach the intersection. I just alone walking alone there was police car that was parked there for some time. My guess is that the cops questioned me because I was a bit isolated and it was harder for other people to see what was happening. Also noticed that there was very heavy police and military presence in the Zona. So it's quite possible that the police thought they could shake me down as part of this. The police have not searched me in 2 or 3 years now. The cops need to focus on the drug dealers and the bandito's....!! Grrr

What did the judge actually fine you for. ? Wondering if you can demand a breathalyzer and or drug test. If you had been drinking that may have been probable cause to take you in. In end it seems like a trumped up charge.

The Americanas may not be paying required fees to stand by a particular section of wall. And may be associated with drugs. I suspect they are 'risky' to go after. I was picked up by the police talking to an Americana type chica about 10 months ago. They said I was weaving while walking and talking to all the girls. That was simply not true. I was polite in responding. I would not back down or offer a bribe despite multiple threats of spending the night in a Mexican jail. The police did not back down either. They drove me to an actual zona norte police station where a supposed judge sitting in an office marked judge or magistrate in Spanish (I don't remember) fined me $ 80 US. This sum was more or less negotiated -- after studying my cash. Maybe others would have said "no" but if they were going to take it this far and had a night judge in on the game, I did think they might hold me all night.

Driving back after midnight in La Zona Norte in the last 18 years, I got stopped a few times by rogue policia, toting automatic weapons, wearing no name tags. Each time I was firm, denying their charges. After threatening me for 5 minutes, they would let me go, sometimes laughing that I beat their games, begging for cerveza money.

A month ago I was stopped by 2 cops and F Martinez. I showed them the business card of Internal affairs attorney, Lic. Maricela Partida. The rogue cops were shaking in fear. She's gone this year. Internal Affairs has new attorneys as listed below. Their office is in Tijuana City Hall a few blocks South of Caliente and hotel Pueblo Amigo. You need to take down names of rogue cops and their patrol cars numbers with detailed complaints. Let's all be proactive and work with these attorneys to get rid the scourge of police corruption:

If they don't observe any illegal activity why the harassment or shake down? I have seen policia in La Zona single out US gringos for search just for walking down the street.
