I went to the Rivera hotel last week and they charged me 200 pesos for a half hour. It is nice hotel. But that is to much. The week before they charged me $7. 50. I have noticed that a lot of Mexican businesses will start off with a low price and then start raising the price for repeat customers. Most businesses in Mexico do no post their prices or put labels on. The downside is that they can essentially charge whatever they can from you.

I recently spent 5 days in Tijuana doing my thing. Eating that good Mexican food (fish tacos, tortas, paella, empanadas etc.). Gambling on sports; football and basketball games. And going down to the Zona for short time sexo sessions. I was with a Lucy, Sophia, Claudia etc. For chupa dupas. My question to you experienced old timers is this: some short time hotels charged 50 pesos and others charged 100 pesos. Is that the normal rate or is it a kick back system to the chicas. This is the main reason why I never let my guard down in Tijuana. It is important to always look to see who is behind you. Especially in the Zona. It is important try and keep up on street crime trends, If street crime is rising, Then thing can get crazy in the Zona.

Sorry to hear that happened to you, but also glad you're okay. It just goes to show anything is possible even if you exercise strong caution and are aware. But I wouldn't let it deter me from going back to Tijuana because that type of stuff is rare in Zona Norte.

Decided to head to Tijuana to see my girl and arrived around 7 pm. Got a haircut and waited for my girl. As I was waiting by the hotel Rivera one of the SG's tried to accuse me of taking their picture. After this one one of the drug dealers bothering me. Shortly afterward about 3 or 4 punks came up to me. One of them tried to grab my backpack. I believe they may have been rateros. I asked several people and they said there has not been ratero; s causing problems recently. It is hard to tell. But it is always a good idea to stay cautious in the zona. I also noticed that there was fewer police and soldiers around las night for some reason. The police really need to step enforcement in this area. There is drug dealers that hang out there especially by the hotel CeCe. The one good thing is that there is far fewer drug dealers than there used to be. After this I got another great BBJ / Facial from my girl. The weather was quite cold last night. Was feeling a bit apprehensive after the problems earlier so decided to head on home.
