    I agree with Ctytek.

No that is not what I said! You throw you wallet if he gets on your face you better be prepared if you show fear you're doomed.

What a bunch of babies grow some balls guys! I can't believe some guys here talking like girls!

Not a lot of streetwalkers trolling for pesos.

The Estatal cops are putting some good heat on the dealers and could be too hot to chance scoring drugs.

    I'd like some clarification

My theory is, if they think you were going to fight and injure them, they would injure you first, stabbing or slashing, so they can run and hide.

It's better to try to outrun them to a safe place. It's best to avoid exposure to them daytime or night time by not walking in unsecured places.

If the ratero wants to hurt you he will no matter what, you got better chances of survival defending yourself than chicken out!

Try to outrun them? Maybe if you are 14 and thin.

You can go online and post crime report in the Sindicatura web site while your memory of that guy is still fresh. I posted their links a few times. Policia may send a guy to that area looking for the guy that fits your descriptions.

Security in an US Army M1 Abrams tank

The bros can have better security driving in and out of Tijuana in an US Army M1 Abrams tank. The only negative is the Abrams M1 tank gets 1 miles for every 2 gallons diesel fuel with its gas turbine engine, unlike my little car hehehe. OK just kidding.

Kidding aside, driving your own car offers much better security and convenience, quicker crossing time, less work and lower cost, than walking between the border to La Zona and anywhere else in Baja California. Mexican drivers are non aggressive, well, except a few cabbie assholes. It's much easier and safer to drive in Tijuana El Centro than downtown LA.

If you drive in Tijuana instead of walking, you will have zero probability of getting robbed, choke held, throat slashed etc. Also don't have to haggle with the rude, greedy cabbies. The worst risk is getting stopped, only late at night near La Zona, by your dumb nameless policia in their patrol cars. If you assert yourself and hide or hold all your cash, then they won't be able steal from you. Policias may try to steal from you, but they would never stab, slash or shoot you.

Tens of thousands gringos live and drive their cars in BC every day without fear. Your probability of being picked on by policias, cartels or rateros is indeed very low, for certain much lower than walking around Tijuana slums.

Mexican liability insurance in BC is only around $100 for 1 year. Costco used to sell a driver insurance policy in MX for $60 a year. If the bros know of similar deals, please let me know.

That was probably ten years ago, and I've never walked out since. Walk in, yes, but never walk out.

I realized later that all someone has to do is just slash your throat on those stairs, and you'd be dead before you ever got any help.

Save $5. 00 to take a cab out.

Basically, as I was crossing the bridge on the way out, I rounded a corner and three cops were there, and had me with my hands on one of the vacant vendor stands. They went thru all my pockets, as as they were throwing my stuff on the stand, I was picking it back up to put it back. Passport, keys, sunglasses, etc. The lead cop had my wallet, and I turned to him, looked him right in the eye and held out my hand, saying "Gracias" and smiled at him. He smiled back and gave me my wallet without taking any of the $70.00 that was left.

In the dark, I always take a cab to the border crossing. Well worth the 70 pesos.

Here is pic of Jamie Lynn P. Jamie is looking better now and seems to be off the dope hopefully. If anyone has seen her please post.

She told me that she will be working more. But my guess is that she is out sporadically.

    Thanks all.

I was walking down Constitucion past the alley and Jamie Lynn P walked up behind me and stopped to my utter surprise. I was happily surprised since Jamie has always been my favorite US girls in Tijuana. Jamie has friendly yet innocent personality that is very refreshing. I wish Jamie was hotter, but overall her looks are one of the best in Tijuana. Kayla is better looking, but her prices are to high for service. I so surprised since everyone kept telling me that Jamie was dead. I have not seen Jamie in 2 years when she was jail. Jamie told me that she had been living Tijuana for awhile and that her family had been helping her. So went with Jamie and got another great BBJ / facial from. Jamie looked clean and I hope she stays that way. The only downside is tha Jamie does not have a phone. I also noticed that the police had a drug sniffing dog and was checking the hotels. I walked around for a bit and did not see any other US girls. Also noticed that a lot of businesses were closed early in Tijuana. Not certain, but I believe this was due to the cold weather.

The action was a bit slow and not did not see many US girls out. Jamie is staying at this really sleazy hotel called the Adima on Primeara av /1's st. The hotel is located between Revolucion and Constitucion. Av. I went there and Jamie was not around. I went back and this older guy says Jamie was there, but he wanted $10 to get her. I said no and he then said $3 to which I agreed. I did not trust him so I said I would wait outside on the street and then give Jamie the $3. He refused so I walked away. Also saw Lindsey, but I am tired of her attitude. Britney was not around as well. Around 9 pm decided to head on home. As I was walking over the pedestrian bridge. I noticed a couple teenagers sitting by the security station on the west side of the bridge. At first I did not think much of it. But as I was about half way over the bridge one of them came up to me and robbed me. Luckily he only got $20 and I did not lose any ID etc. This caught me by surprise since the the only time I have had problems on the bridge. The guy who robbed me appeared to be one of the ratero's. So I am assuming that since they were chased out the Zona they have shifted other areas now.

Is always a first time, sometimes you can tell by his accent or the way he talks if he was a Gang member from the US.

You should report this to the Tijuana cops by the exit gate or the rateros will continue hitting tourist on this bridge area, also a complaint letter to the Mexican consulate, Captain Solo he is an expert dealing with Tijuana LE maybe he knows a place in Tijuana where you can go and report this robbery they take assaults on tourists very seriously and maybe they can Put this punk out of circulation, and because it happened at 9:00 pm early evening makes it more dangerous
