My wallet fell out into the Taxi as I was getting out by the time I realized it he was gone, got a free ride from another driver back to HK talked to other Taxis found out it was the end of the drivers shift. SOL Six months later one of the drivers that I had talked to remembered me and said my friend has your wallet, he called him and met us at the gas station all $600 was still in it, I gave them each a $100, good people.

Decided to head down to Tijuana on Friday to beat the rain on Saturday. Arrived in Tijuana around 6:30 pm. Saw about 15-20 SG's out. A few weeks ago I saw Kathy. But have not seen her since.

One afternoon in the J I be parking lot I found a guy swapping plates on 6 cars right next to the guards' tower near the exit. I called 911 and waited 15 minutes for San Diego PD to bust the guy but they never showed. Damn.

Faccionary del Valle is a big chain with more than 30 shops painted in bright yellow in Tijuana alone. They resealed the front timing cover in my car, a major job taking 11 hours, charged me $220 with 1 year warranty. It never leaked oil again. The branch on O'Campo and Calle 4 is the nearest to La Zona bar block.

It was rainy and cold in Tijuana Tuesday and Wednesday. Concrete was being poured on new sidewalks during the rain. The bar zone was muddy and filthy. Also not too many girls were working the street right after Christmas.

Hell, one of cars that you owned as a teen is probably still being driven down there with over 400 k on the odometer.

Strange that you think of the used cars in Tijuana as being inexpensive. When I lived in Tijuana I knew a guy that would buy used cars in the US and bring them to Tijuana because he could make more money. Also it's a good business the further south you go in Mexico the more you could get for a used vehicle since they didn't have many, especially if you had a diesel car. Maybe the prices have come down with them trying to enforce the cars to be nationalized now.

Is a very convenient location to drop the car off and walk to strip bars on Coahuila to chill. Alejandro Deras does excellent work and is probably the lowest cost in Tijuana.

4 weeks after he painted my whole car for cheap, I waited for the clear coat to harden then brought it back for polishing. He had other commitments but I explained I could not make appointment with him because he did not answer his texts, and I had to drive 2 hours to him, not easy to come back another day. He obliged, spent the whole day polishing and detailing my car for free per agreement. He's a perfectionist and cannot stand seeing a car leave his shop less than perfect hehe. I gave him a good propina for keeping his words and not jacking price on me.

A wingman's Honda Accord was rear ended, bumper split wide open. On my advice he took $1,800 insurance check and brought the car to Kali Kustom. Instead of replacing with a new bumper, Alejandro burned a large and stiff wire mesh inside the broken bumper, bonded it inside, smoothed it outside with body filler and repainted, looked and felt like new, paint matched perfectly, nobody can see there was a repair. He charged only $160 for a whole day work. My wingmen thought it was an excellent job and an incredibly good deal.

On Thanksgiving weekend I rode past his shop at 10 PM in an UBER. They were still working on cars, eating dinner with food spread out on the floor. Before Christmas I stopped in his shop, gave his wife a money present.

If you cannot confirm an appointment for a major job, leave the car with him in the afternoon and check into the hotel. They will start on it that night. Next day there would be enough time for bonding, sanding, painting. Paint and clear coat would be dry enough to drive away in the afternoon.

This is a bit dated; I got caught up in the holiday rush.

I did want to extend my gratitude to Captain Solo, who recommended Kali Kustom on Revolution for paint and body work. They did a terrific job and were indeed perfectionists! $200 for rear fender panel, out the door. Also got a 5 year warranty, FWIW. One word of caution— though the job they did was amazing for my 10-why / o Audi, they don't actually use a dust-free painting tent / room; the work was done in a garage bay. Again, made no difference for my purposes and the results were cheap and excellent.

And they're only about five minutes walk from HK / Tropical! Definitely a winner!

So after drop my car off in the AM, I got a room at Rizo de Oro. Very inexpensive w / VIP. Called up one of my favs. She's semi pro now, and won't allow me to give out her number, so I won't bore with details that aren't available to why'all. Suffice it to say that all orifices were probed and kisses and cash were exchanged and we both left happy. Yeah it's in Tijuana, they have a huge billboard for it when you take the road to the airport. I drive myself in Tijuana but was made aware of InDriver from a girl when I visited her in GDL early last year. For short trips it's not going to make a huge difference especially since most guys here just go from the border to the bars. Besides it would be interesting if they would give a much cheaper price since they know you are a gringo going to the Zona. For longer trips like the zona to the better restaurants I would recommend to them give it a try.
