Also worth noting is local guys get the SGs for 100mx. So when you offer them 200mx most will jump at the opportunity.

Everything in the mongering zone is quoted in US dollars. The taxi quotes in dollars, so do the street girls, the bar girls, the bartenders, the taco stands. Even when you walk up to the arch and go through the shops the prices are quoted to Americans in dollars. You have to specifically ask for prices in pesos, otherwise they assume dollars.

A lot of people think of a 10:1 currency ratio, but that isn't true. Right now it is more like 13:1. Yesterday I exchanged 400 dollars and got back 5200 pesos (Costco in Chula Vista). If a SG offers "20 dollars for me and 5 dollars for the room" you used to be able to get it for 200 pesos and 50 pesos. That no longer works (at least not for me). The street girl rooms are now typically 60 pesos or 5 dollars. One currency advantage I've found is a girl may offer 20 dollars normal or 30 dollars sin ropa, refuse 200 peso normal but accept 300 pesos sin ropa. I'm not sure that is an advantage at all, it wasn't too long ago that I was getting sin ropa for 200 pesos. Yesterday my HK drink was either 4 dollars or 44 peosos. Similar ratio at Adelitas. I find a slight advantge of paying in pesos, but dealing with dual currencies is a pain in the neck and I don't think it is worth the effort. I'll probably switch back over to dollars.

The only place I typically visit that quotes in pesos is the taco stand within a building at the corner of Coahuila and Nirios Herois (sp?). Same block as Hong Kong. They have a big sign posting their prices in pesos, and only in pesos. This place has the best tacos that I've found.

Yesterday's rain was a pain in the neck. Drainage is terrible all over Tijuana and the building overhangs are too small in many areas. Adelita didn't seem to have water problems. At one time HK had a large quantity of water on the floor along the west wall about half way between the entrances, I don't know if that was related to the rain. HK and Adelitas had a normal supply of women, but the streets seemed to be a little low on quantity and most of the better looking girls left the area early in the afternoon and they didn't seem to get quickly replaced by the night girls. I left at about 8:00, maybe a better selections showed up later.

I have never been in the Zona on Cristmas Eve or Christmas. But I love the Zona in that week leading up to Christmas. There is a kind of festive spirit in the air. It is my favorite time of year to spend time in the Zona. The girls seem to be in a good mood and the clubs usually offer some free food. I have heard alot of girls leave for there hometowns this time of year, but it is far from a ghost town.

Whether they are SG's Bar Girls or Escorts, yes they are doing it for work not love. From what I can tell kissing seems to be based on the money you want to spend. You are much more likely to find a GF type experience (kissing) with an escort and you will be spending more money. However thats not to say you could not find that rare street girl who might realize that provideing that extra customer service might lead to repeat business. But it does boil down to it is business and if you pay more you get more.
