Yes if you have a FMM form you can go through the national line. The last time they tried to charge me $35 fee. I asked if I can fill it out online and they said yes. The fee is a scam. The FMM form is free if you visiting Mexico for 7 days or less.

There's posts in the General Section where you can get some details, but basically the $25-30 you have to pay is a bribe. The FMM is actually free for a short time, but the border officials can shake you down for the cash.

Your best bet is to fill it out and print it ahead of time, and take it with you when you cross on foot. If you get one of the assholes that say you need to pay a fee, then you have to make the call on how much of a pain in the ass you want to deal with.

I've read on here that some folks were having success just going through the Mexican national line with a filled out FMM, but I have no clue if that works anymore.

Yeah it doesn't make sense to pay the $25 dollar fee if it's a one day Tijuana trip and stay within the 35 km limit (read it somewhere on their website). But your right it all depends on the corrupt agent I get. I hope I don't have to pay, otherwise, that pop is going to be an expensive one & I'll take your advice and post in the General Section for more info. Really appreciate your response.

Thanks for your reply. So all southbound border crossers have to provide ID with Mexican citizens their mex gov issued ID and US citizens have to apply and / or show the FMM permit. Texas / Mexico border crossing don't require the permit if it's within 50 miles of Mexico. Is there any way around it? I'm tan Hispanic and would be nice if I can get around it especially because it'll be a one-time crossing. Want to save some $$ if I can.

If you're a Mexican citizen with a Mexican ID, just line up in the Mexican national line when you're crossing on foot, and you won't have any issue.

If you're a Mexican citizen with a Mexican ID, just line up in the Mexican national line when you're crossing on foot, and you won't have any issue.

Nothing has changed. They are still requiring the FMM form for one day visits. They often don't check. When you walk past the immigration just look the other way. My advice is print out the FMM form.

Had unusual & irritating visit to Tijuana. Crossed the border around 5:30 pm. The Mexican immigration told me that my FMM form was expired. I asked if could renew online. He said yes & let me continue to the Zona. If you renew at the border they charge you $35. But if you apply online it is $25. In my mind it is still a scam however. Went to the Zona & went to HK bar. There was quite a few good looking girls. But there was not any 10's or at least any seemed worth $100. I got a coke. For some reason the Mexican cokes do not have much sugar. Tried contacting Liz, but she did not answer. I ran into her & she said she lost her phone. She said she could see me in half a hour. I waited around & found her at bar around cambio on Cohuila st. A she then told me 10 minutes more. I went back and she said she could not see me. About a hour later I ran into her again and said she needed use the bathroom in her room. I waited around and she never came out. Were not for her great looks & great service I would not put up with her antics.

In general this approach works fairly well. Cascadas does have a habit of checking SG IDs though, and they often leave those at the hotel they're outside of. I stayed at Adelitas' hotel last time without this problem, also a shade cheaper than Cascadas. Ibiza is fine too, and I might try the one above Tropical (Rizo the'Ora?) next time, these last 2 also have the benefit that you can bring girls from LC, HK, Tropical and I think MQ without issues (of being in the wrong hotel. Obviously being in Adelitas' hotel you can bring Adelitas' girls. Jalos (CC) is a shitty setup though, don't bother there.

Rizo de Oro is the nicest of those mentioned. However you may have trouble pulling SG's from the alley to Hotel Rizo de Oro. Many think it is too far to travel.

If I stay at Cascada (or another non-fleabag hotel) for the night can I bring in a street girl and offer her an extra 200 pesos to stay an hour? My Spanish is atrocious (SP?) but I've got a good smile, and I'm old.

Is there a better hotel for that approach?

Cascada is a pretty nice place to stay to bring unlimited club and street girls. A noob took a HK girl to Cascada Sunday, commented that the rooms were nice enough to stay a few nights, especially with girls available 24/7 right outside the door.

For deals with street girls you have to negotiate with them individually. The prevalent street rate for todo servicios session is 500 pesos per half hour. You will find quite a few happy to do an hour for 1,000 pesos. Amy street girls would do overnight for 2,000 pesos or $100. Those with family and children would need advanced arrangement so they can book baby sitters.

You don't need much Spanish to negotiate deals. Hotel Ibiza in the alley, owned by HK, has the same policies as Cascada, prices slightly lower with no elevator. Rizo de Oro is across HK's front door. HK girls would walk there but Street girls not likely.

Unfortunately the SG / SW scene has been declining for the past 3-4 years. I have noticed that Karina or Kathy has not been around. The SW scene in the southwest has gone downhill. There is the occasional good looking WSW on Fig. But these girls are way over priced. My biggest complaint is that either you have the low end SG / SW's or HK girls that want to charge $100 min. I keep hoping the SG / SW will improve in Tijuana. But things have not been improving. This the why I am planning a trip to Europe.
