Headed down to TJ this afternoon and the selection was fairly disappointing. Most the SG's were in the Cohuilla alley. I did not see Vanessa, so I asked in the Coscada hotel if they had seen her. I eat at Taco Bell fairly regularly. Three tacos for a dollar, and dollar beers. It is about 1/2 block from Taco Loco heading towards the border on the same side of the street. Four of us ate there recently with three tacos and two beers each, the tab was $ 12.00.

Taco Loco is slightly higher in cost per taco, but it is also cleaner inside. Sitting outside at Taco Bell is my preference. As far as taste goes, IMO they are about equal.

One of the reasons that I like Taco Bell is the name. I have many mongering fiends who fly in for trips to TJ. I tell them that they will never look at a US Taco Bell the same again.

Either place is a good inexpensive option if you feel like strolling from the zona for a while. The street vendors are also good options for $ 1.00 tacos, without leaving the zona. If I am not with a wingman I will usually just get food from the street vendors.

Some of the hotels (and I use the term very loosely) charge $3/30p, some $5/50p. The latter often having a shower and/or toilet. Sounds lile the 60p place was adjusting for the dollar fluctuation. In many countries the girls will get a small kickback from the short-time hotels. But in TJ, I'm not so sure.

The thing I can't figure is, if you're going to LOS tomorrow (which is now yesterday), WHY go to TJ?? That's like preparing to go to a huge fancy banquet by going to McDonald's for appetizers!!!

Paying 100 pesos is not uncommon. I have mentioned some 100 peso girls. The problem for most guys is that they cannot walk away from a girl they want. If you read Mr. E's post, and I know him from the Brazil board, you will see that he told the girl he was not rich. He made it clear that he would/could not pay anymore.

I usually use dollars but I knew it would be more effective seeing that chicas bargain on the even amount. They say $20 or 200 pesos, which is actually a difference of $4.50 in your favor when you pay with pesos.

We went in and I paid the guy at the counter 30 pesos. When we entered the room i put the 100 pesos for her on the dresser. I asked her what time she usually comes to work.
