I went to TJ on Sat 7/19/08 to check out the street action. At the POE, I noticed additional Mexican military with automatic weapons. This is of course in response to the famous shot out several weeks ago. Also, they were checking the bags of Mexicans coming back into Mexico--more than usual.

Anyway, I made it the Zona area around 11:45 am. Walked around and I noticed a lot of the same girls that are there week after week. I will not bore you with the details as I can sum it up quickly. I had 4 street girls over a course of 4 hours. A price range of $20 to $30 for full service. All were just ok, nothing to write home about. They just seem to be going through the motions. Also, I have reached my limit with these dirty cheap hotels there.

I saw a few street girls from the U.S. in the Zona. One was a white skinny girl in front of the Hong Kong club. She seemed to be on drugs, or maybe she is just acts like that all the time. She said a few words to me but I smiled and kept walking. I also saw a big (and I mean big) fat black girl across the street from the HK club at the corner.

At least I felt safe there in the Zona area. Cops were out in groups of 3 or 4. Taxi in and taxi out ($5 each way) is the best way to go. I would not waste my time waling from POE to the Zona and dealing with all the BS.

On the very bright side (and ya, I know which post this is--but bare with me for a moment), I stopped in at the Hong Kong club and had a great time with the girls there. $1 to feel pussies, a good deal by American standards. I got friendly with several girls I could have taken to the room. Price range was about $45 to take one of these ex-virgins back to the hotel. ; - }

On my next trip to TJ, I just will spend my time at the Hong Kong club and skip the street girls. I will pay a little bit more for the HK girls, but at least these girls are cleaner and the rooms they take you to are cleaner. NO MORE STREET GIRLS FOR ME.......(ok, maybe).

After 7 or 8pm there is a 1 drink minimum for only $4. You can exchange the can of beer for water or perhaps a bottle of beer at the bar. They hand you a can at the door from a barrel iced down and you pay the door guy $4.

Next weekend there is something special going on so there may be a cover but ordinarily not.

One of these friends is a friend of mine from out-of-state who is flying to Los Angeles JUST so that he can experience Tijuana. (He heard all of the stories that I told him over the past few years).

I have heard about some of the drug violence and kidnapping in TJ that has been on the news recently, but. My feeling is if you aren't obnoxious, don't flash wealth or money, and at night mostly stay in the Hong Kong/Adelitas area (and take a taxi home), then I feel that it is as safe as any large American city.

I also agree with some others in this forum who say that almost all of the killings are drug and mafia related.

Sounds like you're good to go and know what to expect. There has been a drop off in Zona traffic but that's because most people mis-understand what's happening and that will translate into more options for those who do show up. You might do better than you think given the present situation there so be prepared to haggle a bit more.

Yes, Hong Kong has re-modeled their club and their thinking so the cover is to pay for the upgrades, another sign that business has been slow and no, you do not have to go there. You can bet there is pressure on the girls to perform as well, but for top dollar.

2) If she touches me while we are talking (touches my shoulder/body, holds my hand, etc.)

3) If she smiles when speaking with me, or shows any other genuine signs of affection (I know that she may or may not "like" me, but it is important to me that she takes the time to talk to me, and if there is some kind of basic positive connection between us, which again, most of the time translates into some connection in the bedroom.

I shared my thoughts about this approach with another friend of mine from LA (I introduced him to TJ), and we both tend to have very nice experiences with alley girls after we speak with them and sense if there is any connection between the girl and us.

My two friends and I will be in TJ tomorrow (Saturday July 12). All 3 of us look forward to it.
