I live in San Diego. I go every week. It keeps me focused and happy. WE concentrate on work to keep our jobs so we have the money to go to Tijuana to fuck chicas as much as we can. Yes I have NO money anymore HEHEHE!

I just had a similar experience as Lvhobby, I crossed alone for the first time this past Friday and was little nervous initially. Was only going to be in SD from Vegas for 1 day & during the day only, so I crossed at about 11am and left at 6pm on Friday. Just enough time to get my beak wet 3 times and try each of the 2 most reviewed clubs. Returning across the border at 6pm was painless, only 5 min wait, I would have stayed longer but I did notice when I crossed over at 11am it was a very long line, probably a couple hour wait so that's what I thought it would be leaving. I walked around the block of coahuilla street a couple of times to look for food and scope everything out, it felt like walking around old Vegas / Fremont area, just dingy with peddlers and way more streetwalkers, but I never felt in any danger.

Got to say Adelita was my favorite, lots of fucking hot chicas with cool attitudes during the day and the meseros weren't as annoying as in HK. The meseros were still pests but they respected my wishes better when I would tell them "I still have beer so not right now, check back in 10 minutes or later." At HK the meseros would stay standing in proximity and would keep asking every 1-2 minutes (even though my beer was still over half full in each circumstance.)

I have passable Spanish (not great) but good enough, so that helps a lot when dealing with the girls & meseros. It was shocking (in a good way) how direct it all is, I go to strip clubs occasionally so I'm used to there being lines you can't cross or you have to beat around the Bush to find out if the chick is worth taking to VIP. Its so refreshing that just a few hours away there exists a place without pretenses whatsoever.

Being back at work now its hard to get it off my mind, don't know how people can live in SD and stay productive or have money in the bank, I'd want to call in sick and cross 1 day every week.

I was in SD on business and don't know any mongers in real life. Wouldn't mind meeting some. This part of my life is pretty private so my friends and family don't know anything about it.

That being said, I just went there by myself for the first time this weekend. Just read the tips on this board and it is hella easy and I can see how it can be addicting. Thank god I live in LV and it is 4 1/2 hr drive to the border or I may be there spending all my money. I went by myself. Never felt threatened at all. If you've been in NYC by yourself it's no different, really. People are just trying to have a good time. The worst you get is a bunch of hecklers trying to scam you. But then again. There are assholes in LV trying to scam tourists too so no different than any US city.

Go and check it out. You won't be disappointed. Also, not sure if this is common or the time that I came back but there was a black CBP officer who was cool as hell. He basically swiped your I'd or your passport and asked a question like "how's it going". I answered and since I don't have an accent and I'm not latino he said "have a nice day" and waved people on by. Some people he didn't even ask question, just swiped their I'd and waved them by.

I really want to visit Adelita bar, I have never been to Mexico however. Being a better safe than sorry type guy I was looking for advice on whether or not I should go by myself and would I be safe? If not, does anyone know of like a rideshare or anything like that so I would have a wingman?

I've been going by myself since 2007 and have never had any problems, I have never been for have I witnessed anyone get killed, beat, mugged, harassed by police, roofied, be caught in a violent drug war etc. I'll admit I have witnessed drug dealers or drug use, but I obviously stay the hell away from that. Granted I do take many precautions plus I never consume any drinks at the bars unless they are opened in front of me. I now have a GF there that I visit regularly and opposed to what everyone warned me against, I do take my new car into Tijuana bearing California plates and all. Again never had a problem. I even let my GF drive it and she's pretty wild at driving, which turns out is normal of all drivers over there. She's even cut off the police and we where not stopped. I've gotten to know Tijuana rather intimately and not just the Zona. It really is not that bad.

You'll hear many bad things about Tijuana regarding crime and violence. It really isn't as bad as many WANT YOU to believe.

I have been going for almost 2 yrs straight and not one hassle. I also travel well into Tijuana outside the zone to other areas and no problems there. Hell, I've been back and 4th almost 6 times in Oct alone. Of course you run some risk but you have to be really stupid to get into these risks. Stay in the main streets, go to where things are well lit. Have a wingman. Keep your wits about you and don't get too drunk and you will be OK.

If you don't mind stepping over the bodies of dead drug dealers and cops you'll be OK. If you can stand the sight of blood, especially your own, as you get caught in drug war-related crossfire, you'll be OK. If your stomach can stand eating the fly-infested street food, from roach-infested carts, you'll be OK.

I'm just f*cking with you. Seriously, RTFF. Twice. Loads of guys go alone all the time.

Keep your wits about you and be polite. You don't need anybody to hold your hand.

But, here are the top 5 newbie tips.

1. Don't get shitfaced.

2. Pay attention to the waiter's number to ensure he returns with your change.

3. Never pay the first price. If they won't negotiate, move on.

4. Don't take substantially more money than you plan to spend. Smaller bills are better.

5. Don't stray from the immediate zona (Adelita, Hong Kong, Chicago Club, Tropical Bar)

Also read Brockton O'tools guide. Stay in that square block and you will have a good time. I found that it helped a lot since this was my first year going to Tijuana. I recommend also going to Hong Kong. My jaw dropped the first time I walked through that place having never experienced Tijuana. Now I am addicted to it.

Not sure where you are coming from, but I know of a ride share program that operates out of Orange County. I believe for first time riders they will give you a free SG tour ($74 value). But if that doesn't work you should be fine on your own. Just be sure and go back and read this forum there is a ton of information on this forim that will help to make sure your trip goes smoothly.

Not sure where you are coming from, but I know of a ride share program that operates out of Orange County. I believe for first time riders they will give you a free SG tour ($74 value). But if that doesn't work you should be fine on your own. Just be sure and go back and read this forum there is a ton of information on this forim that will help to make sure your trip goes smoothly.

Been going to Tijuana solo for the better part of eight years. You'll be fine. Just don't do anything stupid and try to be among groups of people.

You should give her a go.

I used to hit that a lot before she left to have a kid, and then several times after she returned because I missed it. It's been more than a few months since I've gone with her, (mainly because I have other favoritas during the same shift). I have a buddy who said her service is off, but then again, it could just be a chemistry thing and she may have been having a bad day. She's a veteran so as long as you negotiate everything you want downstairs over a drink and you're getting the right vibe, then hit it.

Thanks Keg! Negotiating is an art I'm still working on. Not just asking bluntly but getting them to want to do it with delivering service in mind.
