Took my first day trip to AB around 3PM. It wasn't crowded, but I had to wait to get a seat at the bar. There were a couple of nice chicas walking around. But not the ones on the late shift. No Claudia, no Carla, etc. One chick had a body to die for, but a weird puss.
Hook up with a veteran. I've seen her before but never spoke to her. I thought she said she was 27, but I later learned she was 37. What turned me on to her was that she wore glasses. Evelyn said she was from Vera Cruz and needed to go home to her 7yr old by 5PM. She wanted $70 and I balked. We settled for $60 and arriba we went. She was very friendly, loving and gave me a great massage after. I returned the favor. She almost fell asleep after. But the knock came after 30 minutes. I gave her a $5 propina.
Going during the daytime may be a good idea for those still afraid to get their feet and other parts wet. And I did my usual...I taxied in and taxied out.
Happy and safe mongering!

I just got my new passport in May and planning a trip to Cartagena on 6/18. So instead of carrying it to TJ I brought my expired one. No problem, crossed the border twice with it. One guard just said they can't scan the old one since it is not electronic. But I explained not wanting to loose the new one. NO PROBLEM he said. As far as the passport cards, I ordered one along with my new passport. They said they will should start producing them this month.
Also my daughter lost her passport and when we crossed over she used her birth certificate and her license. They just want proof of citizenship.

I just learned about this today and am getting one for $20.
No more having to carry and pull out my big bulky US passport in TJ or stick it in my back pocket hoping it won't fall out or get stolen.

Carrying your medical insurance card is not a bad idea either.
Because you never know. Just keep it with your ID.

Posts: 1185I hide my money. And not just common places like my shoes or anything like that. Some ingenious locations that the police would never think of looking. No not where the sun don't shine.
Basically I make hidden pockets on certain parts of my clothes and add one large or a few bills so if patted down, the cash isn't noticed. And when I get low in cash, I'll go to the restroom stall and take it out. If I'm going to the room with a chica, I'll go in the restroom to access the money without her seeing where I hide it.

Sometimes walking around with a lot of cash can get you in trouble. If policia stops you with a lot of cash on you , they will hassle you. They will think you are there for more then chicas. More then $200 is to much money. ATM to checking account seems safest bet to me. If you start off with $200 cash and have an ATM with a limit of $300 per day , that is more then enough money to partake in the pleasures of TJ. If policia catches you with ATM the most they can get you to bribe them with is $300. You can always always call your bank and adjust the amount to your personnel satisfaction.

Posts: 23By the way, went to Las Chavallas for the first time Saturday night for about 20 minutes. What a shithole. The bathroom had bugs in it and the whole damn place stunk, even the girls looked dirty, older, lots of tattoos. The place was filled with scruffy Mexican guys and some American looking clients, but more of the "I'm a convict living in TJ" variety.

Posts: 23Just got back after another 3 day trip...
Ok, I can't get enough of it down there. In fact, I'm considering getting an apartment there.
Saw my two favorites (one of them stayed with me by the way all of the 3 nights), but tried a new one last night, Lizette. Awesome body, tall, dark brown (maybe black) hair, beautiful lips, spoke little English.
She started out on the agressive side in bed, super hot, but I slowed her down a bit and it was perfect from there.
I will probably take her for the night on my next trip.
I would give her a 9 face, 10 body, 9 performance.
By the way, last night before I took off with my gal, they had a Boa show, it was pretty interesting and I couldn't help but wonder how that Boa wasn't going to kill the poor girl.
In retrospect, this having had been my first weekend trip down there, although there were much more girls, I think I still prefer to trip down there during the week when there is less smoke and less crowd.

I only carry and use an ATM card to checking account only.
Never a major cc or a ATM to saving.
With checking ATM you are very limited to lose.

Sure if you're just going down for a few hours you can hit an ATM on the US side.
I wouldn't use a credit card in a bar/club/massage parlor in TJ ever. Many of these types of places will add a "service fee" upwards of 10% on top of whatever goods or services you are buying (I heard a strip club in Puerto Vallarta charged 30%). I only use my card trusted establishments (nice hotels, etc).
