I know if you're in the bar you need to buy something water,beer, liquor etc..
Just seating watching ass and not buying anything can get you in trouble.
Most pain in the ass meseros will push you to buy a drink or they tell you that you can't be in the bar, it happened to me once.
Is there new bar rules now that I'm not aware?

I guess I should have re-worded myself. When I said that I meant it as just walk into the bar, go up to the girl you want, negotiate quickly and leave for upstairs. This way you'll avoid having to buy a drink. But I guess this is only good if you're only looking for a good time then leave. But if you're like me I care to sit and enjoy the ambience. So I'm required to buy a drink.

I guess if you really want to save money on water, you could always keep an old bottle of water and bring in a refilled one.

Lol, ive done something similar to that. Just make sure what kind of bottled water they use at that bar since it could vary from bar to bar. One time I went in to a bar bought the mandatory drink, of course I only drink water. After enjoying myself I left. Some time later, I decided to return so I bought a new one at a nearby kwik-e-mart, same label of course, and sneaked it in. Sat down on a table and the first mesero that came up to me saw the bottled water and walked away. Of course the bar has to be kind of busy to get away with something like that. Bottled water at the store is like 50 cents compared to the $3.50 at the bar plus the tip for he waiter, that's almost like $5 bucks just for a bottled water. Sheesh...

Luxor is expensive, been there once in Ensenada damage $150 USD for 20 min

Wait, so Luxor is not in Tj? I thought it was. I was looking for it walking around Zona norte and even the strip the last time I went. This is probably why i never found it.

But personally I usually spend $200-300 per night in TJ. That usually includes 1-2 Cialis, 6-7 beers, 4-5 chica drink, 2 chicas, 1-2 lap dances, and food tips. The value is incredible compared to similar in the US IMHO.

It's all about enjoying yourself. If you can afford the convenience and have fun, it's all good.

For some they're going to TJ almost every other day, so having inexpensive runs allows them more trips. And for some people, there's also gratification in getting something on sale, discounted, or something even off the menu. So they get satisfaction from their negotiating skills and game as well, for the cost of time and effort.

I've successfully walked into Adelitas with a drink. It was a bottled water but then the doorman was currently away from his post. And one time I had gone upstairs and came back down with the same bottled water. Doorman told me to leave it behind, I complained and told him "but I bought it here." He let pass through. Guess he remembered me.

I've done it many times. As long as I have a bottle brought from that bar, AB and CC have let me walk right back in with it. Usually I show them the label, when I walk in to avoid any hassle. This is water though, not sure about beer since every place could have the same labels. For AB, CC, and HK they all have different water labels specifically to avoid confusion. HK uses Costco brand water I think.

I guess if you really want to save money on water, you could always keep an old bottle of water and bring in a refilled one.

As for avoiding the need to buy a drink or tip a girl, just keep moving around the bar, that works fine too.

Don't know about the girls being better at Luxor but AB has some of the nicest looking girls I've seen in the Zona Norte.

Ficha club is most of the clubs in the Zona Norte. A ficha is basically a ticket the girl gets if you buy her a drink. The bar makes money from selling the mongers alcohol and getting the mongers to buy the girls a drink. The girl has to get so many fichas in one night to basically Rent her space in the bar

You can definitely avoid the $5 taxi ride but I would not advise it. If you really are hard up on money I guess but for me $10 in savings is no big deal and the chances of getting mugged are not worth it or even close. Think about losing your money and wallet down in TJ. I have seen it happen (from the taxi one night) and heard about it otherwise.

I only avoid the taxi ride during the day since the whole area including the scary bridge is pretty much safe with all the other tourists walking back and forth. It's only at night when I avoid walking back to the border. I'll usually take one of the taxi's in front of Adelitas. $5 dollar ride back to border is worth its price in the safety it provides me. Plus by the night I'm way tired anyways to be walking.

I have not seen people walk into AB with a water or drink. The doorman usually takes it so you have to buy drinks. A good idea if you want to drink which I usually do is to head over to HK. They have 2-1 drinks in the afternoon and then they are only $4. YOu can also get a lot of T&A for $1 there.

Yes you can, i do it all the time. First off don't sit in the row tables next to the dance floor. Any guy sitting there will be solicited to slip in a dollar bill and not doing so obviously makes him look bad. Secondly don't make eye contact with the dancing girl especially when she's nearby looking for guys to cop a feel so she can get money. At those times I usually make myself look busy by looking at anything but the dancer. I've never once been approached. This is all about experience and knowing how to handle the situation.

I was in AB Saturday, and the girls did not budge on the prices, they all were asking 60 to go upstairs. Shocked. Is this new or something?

60 has been the standard rate for a long time. Last Friday I took Angelica up for 50 and another one agreed to go for 50 I believe but cannot recall the name. Some of the CC chicas are happy to go for 50 after quoting 60. I took one lower tier up recently for 40 including extras.

But if you avoid all the drink buying non-sense and simply negotiate prices and services you can get a girl to go down in price to like $50 or even $40. So all you really pay for is the girl, $50, the room, $12, and the $1 tip to the clean up guy. And even that one dollars is optional. That's only $63 dollars instead of the $100 you where thinking off.

You may want to reread my previous posts. All of the non-club massage places charge you a house fee to go to a room with the girl, and THEN the girl charges you her own fee for service requested. You can negotiate with the girl, but you have lost some leverage since you've already paid the house. This is a more expensive route, averaging (in my experience) a little more than a 1hr session with an AB girl. It's purely a chance of pace, and not a financially better deal.

Which are the massage places and which are the bar like places?

As mentioned previously, Purple Rain is the only 1 I know of with a semi-bar feel, the rest are girls walk in as a lineup, you choose, you go to room with her. You get mild to sometimes decent massage for the house fee. Extra is negotiated with the girl for her fee which is seperate.

By the way, do you know the cross streets for Luxor and Purple Rain?

Sorry I don't but you'll see both places on a typical taxi drive if you look closely. Purple Rain is close to the intersection of Revo and Coahuila. Luxor is right next to the Pueblo Amigo hotel. Ask a taxi driver to give you a card if he has one, or ask him to drive you there but negotiate a cheap price since he'll get a commission if you choose a girl. Don't worry about going into a place and checking out the lineup and walking out. People do it all the time.

Vivamex has a 2 girl massage. Don't know about Azteca. It is definitely still only a legit massage.... the "point" is that one gal can be working one side of your body while the other works the other side. When I tried two girls after many wonderful times with just one, I found I didn't care for it. Each masseuse was a bit out of sync with the other which caused in me a strange sort sort of sensory overload. But that's just me, I'm sure other people love it.

I usually dont go to Azteca, only went when VivaMex was closed. I thought Azteca allows a 2 girl massage as well, but I could be wrong.

As for VivaMex's 2 girl massage, it's not sexual, but it can be sensual. I can see what Rob is saying about sensory overload. Since having a massage in between sessions is a nice way to recharge, I like the sensory overload But yeah, I can see if girls are out of sync it can be distracting. For me, the girls have always worked the same side together, and I tell them light touch at times or firmer massage, depending.

Purple rain isnt good at all, they have some good looking girls but its a small area inside and when you pick the girl you want you go outside around the corner and there are rooms very close to each other maybe 12 foot long and 8 ft wide, it does cost more...i wouldnt go there compared to the other places.
