Report from Saturday 9-16-07.

I completely forgot about Mexican Independence Day. Parked then got to a cab and driver says that it's impossible for him to get to Adelita's due to the festivities. (Total B.S. if a driver refuses to take you then just tell him you'll go with another cab.) So I end up at this random strip joint which I wasn't really too fond of. I stay for about 15 minutes then jet out of there because what's the point especially when you're there for mongering purposes. Got into another cab and this guy takes me to the best place AB. Regardless it's still totally wrong to have a cock fight. Not just for humanitarian reasons but business wise this can hurt Adelitas and all other surrounding bars. I know this is Tj and just about anything goes but even Mexico has laws against animal abuse. Not to mention this can cause the government, both Mexican and American to crack down on the bar which can only inflict problems on the sex trade.

This place has already been getting much bad notorietary. Why add to it? And of course, this is a hooker bar. Cock fighting doesn't fit in such a place. thank you to all of the posters here on the scene in tijuana. i hadn't been to tijuana since a drunken trip with friends nearly 20 ago. it was a long time ago and i was completely wasted so i didn't remember anything of the border crossing and getting to the club.

i was a little worried about being shaken down by the cops at the border like i've read about here. i saw a few cops on the walk from where the cab dropped me off and the border, but no one bothered me. the line at the us crossing only had 4 people in front of me, but 3 cbe agents, so it was quicker than i get at 1 in the morning in laredo sometimes.

on the way to my car, i noticed a lot of people pouring into mexico. the parking lots closest to the border west of i-5 actually were full, and there were people in cars waiting for a spot. i parked in that lot just off the off-ramp on the right. it too was roped off and people in cars waiting for spots.

Tonight was my first time at AB and my first time mongering ever...

Lessons learned:

1. BE PREPARED. You're going to a *****house, don't be embarrassed if the girls act like *****s.

2. DON'T GET DRUNK. You can do that with your boys at a bar back home. Here it'll just make you dumb and give you whiskey dick.

3. TALK TO A GIRL FIRST. We had ZERO chemistry and it led to an all-out terrible session. This could've been easily avoided had I bought her a drink or two downstairs instead of succumbing to her wiles so quickly.

4. NEGOTIATE first. This way you know not just how much you're paying, but what you're getting.

5. HOTTEST GIRLS MIGHT NOT BE BEST LAYS. Pretty obvious, but easy to forget if you run into some eye candy.

These are things I should've known before heading down, but I wasn't really ready for the experience. All told, I'll probably still go back to AB. But hopefully next time is a lot more productive than this one.

The above list should also include: Bring enough money for at least two girls. If the first girl is a dud, you can try a second girl. Right?

I brought a buddy of mine to AB about 3 months ago; it was his first time in the zona. I reminded him during the two weeks prior to the trip; to bring a couple hundred bucks cash. Anyways, he took his first girl upstairs at AB and returned to the bar after only 10-15 minutes. I asked how it went, and apparently he came too fast. So he starts digging through his pockets for more money, only to realize that he didn't have enough for a second girl. During that time, we were shooting the shit with another monger from L.A. The guy from L.A. looks at me and says, he'll cover you. I replied with(jokingly), now you gotta watch me fuck. We all started laughing hysterically. LOL. But, the point is: bring enough cash to at least cover two girls/even an alley girl if not a second bar girl($25+$5).

LOL Surfnk9! You can't compare the two.
Here in the U.S you're more likely to be removed from the bar if you are a troublemaker, and if you're very drunk or pass out, the bar will call the paramedics, in TJ you more likely to wake up on the sidewalk next morning wearing only your trousers.
When in the zona Don't expect the same treatment you get here in the U.S.
Anyway, I always stay sober and in control when mongering in TJ, for me works every time, you can do different if you wish, I'm just trying to help some newbies from getting in trouble.

Never get too drunk in TJ period!

When drunk you can get robbed, beat, arrested, and even get rip off by the girls, if you pass out the bandidos will clean your wallet for sure, they don't give a shit about you alcohol intoxication, the bar security guards might or might not get you medical attention, they think you're just another drunk, if they don't know you they will take outside on the sidewalk till you're sober.

I've seen drunk gringos that were sleeping at the tables removed from the bar.
So be safe and drink responsible.
