I hope things change in the shakedown department. I remember the days when I used to get stopped at every stop sign on Coahuilla by a cop because I didn't stop! Paying that 80 peso fine every block was a *****!

    Bravo Hardbarq:

In response to DarkDavid's clueless comment, hardbarq wrote as follows:

You sound to me like someone who should stay in the US and find the most expensive pussy available. Be sure to give her a nice tip.

AMEN. The reason TJ is not a much better value is the number of clueless kooks like DD who visit. Sadly, even my beloved Colombia is experiencing an influx of these moron mongers. ):

Yes the ISG is partly responsible, but if not this website it would be another website providing information.

In Colombia, everybody and their brother is rushing to cash in on the influx on mongers with more dollars than [common] cents by opening mongers B7bs and the like.

The lesson that SHOULD be learned is one we surfers learned LONG AGO; if you find a "secret spot" you would like to remain unchanged, keep it to yourself! Posting it on the internet is the kiss of death (like appearing on the cover of Sports Illustrated for a pro athlete!)

Now this may be useless info and it may be stupid to report this as it would only instigate fear in many who go south of the border for some action, but many if my family members work in the Juzgados Federales, and are very much exposed with most of the crime activity that happens in TJ. In fact, there was an article in a weekly paper called 'Zeta' that I read while I was down there that mentioned a drop in toursit activitly in the Revolucion Ave. area due to the escalating crime. The only reason I report this here is to ask that many of you pay extra attention to the surrounding activities while you are down there. The 'zona roja' is like it's own city and may not be subject to the many violence issues that have plagued TJ for the past decace but, it's always wise to keep your guard up while in a foreign country that can be somewhat volatile.

    Recent Violence situations in TJ

Hey all. I just got back from TJ visiting family and such (as well as Adelitas for some R&R). As for the mongering report: Adelitas treated me great well as always. Hung out there with some cousins and a little too much too drink, but there were many chicas there that were willing to please. Finally took a cute honey upstairs which made for an incredble time. GFE all the way. 60 for CBJ and pretty much everything else. 12 for room + 5 tip to the guys that cleaned up after me.

I'm an Ensenada boy since the 80's, but believe me: The girls in Adelitas are 10 times better than those at Anthony's. No te enojes conmigo Tony but the experience is far better, and iless expensive.

Best of Luck fellow mongers, and keep your guard up while traveling in TJ.

    Hi,

Do you mean to tell me that a sophisticated world traveler such as yourself can't afford a $13 subscription to support this forum and all the work I do to keep it maintained?

Come on dude, a forum subscription is less than a weekly newspaper.

    Thanks,

Go get'em Jackson! I agree. The work you do is underappreciated so thanks again man.

A note to noobies: When another noobie to the board asks for hotel info, where YOU stay and what YOU bring, be careful. The bad guys in TJ have access to the internet and can set you up like a duck. Fortunately Larry 56 is a Senior Member on the USA site. He joined on 05-31-03 and has over 500 posts to his credit. (He even has a PM enabled) so the risk is minimal with Larry.

When you go bigmouth and tell the world where you will be staying and what you "usually bring" it gives the bad guy a view into your room when you are not there. Maybe the bad guy works for the hotel you stay at. Maybe he has a key to the room. Maybe you'll be buying a new Rolex, Mont Blanc, CD player, drivers license and credit cards as soon as you get back to the States.

    Example:

"Yeah jackoff123, I'll be at the hotel Nelson. I'll take your advice and leave my wallet and credit cards in the room under the bed. Check for me at around 8PM. I'll leave a note for you and let you know what room I'm in so you can come up for a beer. I want to meet those girlfriends of yours. I wont be there between 8 and 11PM though."

    Get it?

    Good.

    Be safe and be nice.

I wish! OK, to be fair I'm making more than I was 5 years ago, but a hell of a lot less than I was 6 years ago. There are a lot of other people from the IT industry who can say the same. Guys have a right to pay whatever they want-it is their money. Other guys have the right to ***** about it if it is driving up the price for them, because it is also their money that is being affected. But calling a guy cheap because he comments that prices have gone up seems really out of line to me.

    where to stay

Folks use 2 options. Either stay in US or TJ. I recommend TJ.

In TJ again 2 options. In the 'zone' or outside the zone.

    In the Zone.

    A. One hotel that is shared by adelitas, LC etc. Is about 30$s a night in the callejon.

    B. Hotel Mini: 22$s no TV

    C. Leyva: 30 sec walk nrth of the callejon 19$ for no TV and 25$ for with TV (newer rooms)

    D. A new hotel east of Leyva by a block 30$s. North of La tropa spa etc. I forget the name but soem here can probably help

Outside the zone many many options.

    Good luck

    Free Market Pussy

Whether or not some people overpay or others are negotiating to pay less at every opportunity, it's a free market so prices are relatively stable.

Here is a post reprinted with permission by one of my all time favorite writers regarding economics in TJ as related to pussy.

" TJ pussy is an example of one of the purest forms of free market capitalism working unfettered. Ironic since it's such a poor third world country.

Price is determined by a supply and demand equation that remains fairly balanced. Prices are level because there is a steady supply that meats and often exceeds demand.

Unlike here, where the activity is illegal, there's a large demand and relatively little product to meet the demand, regulation or interference in the market system causes prices to be artificially high.

The people here that offer the service have more hurdles to overcome and greater risk in offering the product, thus fewer people offering the service but with demand remaining high along cums higher pricing.Demand outstrips supply.Prices rise.

If the chicas weren't allowed to operate so easily or were prohibited from operating, prices would skyrocket.

Lots of chicas means prices are kept low. If pussy were like digital watches or microwaves, once everyone had one, prices would drop dramatically. However pussy is not like a digital watch, it's more akin to something like food, a consumable commodity. { this is why I eat pussy}.

Like food, we need it everyday, we want it all the time and thank God I live in San Diego.

If things continue as they have I see pricing remaining fairly level, this is because although more and more people have become aware of what is available and TJ becomes even more well known through faster and various forms of media like the Internet, two things will keep prices in check.

One is steady expansion of the product, more chicas showing up to meet demand { as long as they aren't interfered with} and the other is the limited pool of guys with discretionary income who are in close proximity to TJ. There are few places like TJ and it can't be franchised around the country easily. In other words, it takes some doing to get here for people outside of San Diego.

There will always be people willing to pay more for what they perceive as a premium product. Generally, these people are a minority and don't effect pricing on the bulk of the general market, those paying fair market value for service.

If and when things ever change and become unbalanced, i.e. less chicas or more mongers with more money then pricing will be affected upwards. More chicas or fewer mongers, price would decrease.

You know, I'm a fairly infrequent visitor to TJ, and not exactly hard up for money, so it isn't a big deal to me either way, but I am a little irritated with all the mongers complaining that other mongers are driving the price up. I mean, for heaven sake, things get more expensive. That's life. $60 for a nice piece of tail is still a pretty damn good deal. Unless you're making the same salary as you were 5 years ago, I don't get all the complaining about the girls getting a few more dollars for what they do. Now if some mongers were going down there and paying $100 or $150 per 30m, maybe complaints would be justified. But $60 seems perfectly reasonable to me in 2006, and still substantially cheaper than in the US. The cost of living is rising in Mexico too. You guys are just sounding like chocha cheapskates and like you want to exploit the ladies.
If you're "irritated with all the mongers complaining that other mongers are driving the price up" why not talk directly to me. That's who you're talking about isn't it?

I'm constantly amazed by people who need to justify overpaying for things. They almost always want to tell other people they should be stupid with their money as well. Big spenders are usually compensating for something else.

Since 1997 just the difference in exchange rates has given David's "exploited ladies" about a 40% raise for the same product. Dave thinks it ought to be 100%+. The price gouging of the oil industry is a desperate comparison to support an unsupportable position.

You sound to me like someone who should stay in the US and find the most expensive pussy available. Be sure to give her a nice tip.
