Heard from a couple chicas that there's been a lot of talk amongst those who work in the zona of adelitas opening back up soon, within the next month or so. Pretty much a year to the day since it closed.

Not saying it's definite, just the latest rumor. They seemed pretty sure of it though, we'll see.

I have long stopped getting predictable news from the women there. They know nothing.

The booths in Chicago in the back are pretty private and HK has more lighting in my experience. I think you have to buy a bucket to get the booths in the back of the bar. The only part that was private was second floor of Miami club, but not sure if that is even open anymore. I recall seeing bros doing doggy and chicas riding cowgirl upstairs. Meseros at either bar hassle you for drinks, but you can just wave them off. They are there to provide a service as no propina equals no money in their pockets. Interesting observation was a female mesera was pole dancing in Chicago and it really surprised me, but Im thinking she used to be a sexworker and then maybe got into a relationship where she has to pretend she only sells drinks.

The Miami rooms of HK are long gone.

The Meseros of Chicago are different. I can enter HK and no one bugs me unless I sit in a booth. If they ask you can say no and they leave you alone. In Chicago they are like mosquitos at night. If you say no, they go talk to a jefe to kick you out. Happened to me. I usually enter, if I ever do, and tell them I am looking for a friend and bounce after a few minutes.

There was much fun to be had in that club, now I don't know. They are killing it for me with persistent meseros that follow you from the entrance to wherever you go in the club. Big thumbs down!

This is too bad, as you stroll the block, this closure makes for a dark spot in the area.

Love to se it or another bar open up as this could help the whole area.

Love to see the Adelitas Bar just sell the place to a new owner who gives it a new name. It's a prime location. The should gut the Valentina Bar which is also closed, and consolidate the two bars.

Just don't like the bright lighting and the general floor plan of Chicago. The Dancing tables took too much space and so makes it hard to mingle. The way those mesero / as haunt you all around the club is just too much. What makes HK so attractive is that it has secluded areas with their own unique culture (for lack of better word) that present specific opportunities. I am not a booth guy at all, I never sit at tables. I am either at the bars or standing somewhere flirting or watching dances at stages. HK is great for this.

Yeah, Adelitas was always my go-to spot. HK was my #2 spot just to hang out and enjoy the soap shows but I always preferred Adelitas more laid-back atmosphere. Hope they come back soon. I guess Chicago's atmosphere is similar to an extent but it's not the same for some reason. Quality of girls isn't as good for one, amongst other things.

At its peak Adelitas was in par with HK during Friday and Saturday nights. For 2 years I never went to HK on Friday's and Saturdays whenever I was there, always at Adelitas. The chicas were just too mesmerizing during that time. Problem was the crowds, it was at times difficult to enter let alone to get inside and move around. People used to stand right inside the curtains and there would be no further room to walk.

The decline started from the top, the owners started quarreling for control, mangers got into the act of embezzling money, most damaging of all they started abusing the girls. From there there was no stopping the spiral to the gutter for that club. Newer owners tried to revive it with that idiotic huge dance stage they built, more lights to advertise and lure the men, what was lacking was the sexy women they used to have. Business started dying and they went the illegal way trafficking women, they got caught and that was the end.

You're absolutely right. I also remember when it was so crowed you'd bump into people just walking through the front curtain. There was no point in going to HK. But then the quality of girls kept dropping with no improvement. Some of the girls from adelitas went to HK or Chicago, but the rest I have no idea where they went.
