Some of the hottest women I've met were working in adelitas. Good times.

At its peak Adelitas was in par with HK during Friday and Saturday nights. For 2 years I never went to HK on Friday's and Saturdays whenever I was there, always at Adelitas. The chicas were just too mesmerizing during that time. Problem was the crowds, it was at times difficult to enter let alone to get inside and move around. People used to stand right inside the curtains and there would be no further room to walk.

The decline started from the top, the owners started quarreling for control, mangers got into the act of embezzling money, most damaging of all they started abusing the girls. From there there was no stopping the spiral to the gutter for that club. Newer owners tried to revive it with that idiotic huge dance stage they built, more lights to advertise and lure the men, what was lacking was the sexy women they used to have. Business started dying and they went the illegal way trafficking women, they got caught and that was the end.

Was the owner trafficking women?

That was the original news. From the way it looks now it seems that is a fact. Adelitas went down the gutter around 5 years ago. I sensed it when they started treating me like crap and all the girls I knew started telling me they are leaving. I went by yesterday. Still closed, but unlike all the previous times I've gone by to look, there was no employee stationed out front. Don't know whether that might indicate any change in status or plans.

I was in Tijuana last week and they did have someone camped out front 24/7. I wonder why they even "need" the person stationed out there, it's beyond obvious the place is closed. Maybe just to discourage homeless / beggars or whatever from camping out there?

Don't think anyone knows for sure when the place will reopen, if at all. One chica at HK told me this February while another (who worked at Adelitas for 3 years before moving over to HK) told me maybe "dos anos" (two years).

I always find it interesting the original news articles about the club trafficking young women. As a I recall. The vast majority of ladies at adelitas were on the older side and MILF's compared to all the younglings you would see at HK.

Adelita's new luxury branch is being ready for grand opening in swanky Federal Maximum Security District, CDMX.

Any news on any potential opening? Would be nice for it to come back. Had plenty of good memories here. It served as a nice middle ground BTW high powered HK and trash Chicago.

Now I know all the information about AB reopening is speculation but when talking with someone about it the person had heard that it might open again in February.

Right, my understanding is Adelitas was the only one of the big clubs in Zona Norte that sold beers from Grupo Modelo, which includes Corona, Pacifico, Modelo, Stella Artois, Guiness.

All of the HK-affiliated clubs like HK and Tropical only sell beers from the Heineken group, which includes Heineken, Tecate, Dos Equis, Indio, Bohemia, Amstel Ultra, and Sol.

Not sure why that is.

Well the same way restaurants have a contract with soda companies HK has a certain vendor for alcohol. I'm sure they get a very good deal on the beers with all they buy.

I remember when I first started going to Mexico, this was before they had Oxxo on every corner you would see the stores painted advertising what group they sold at that particular store. So if you didn't like that brand you just had to keep on driving.

Adelitas served Pacifico, which is my beer of choice. And none of the other places in ZN seem to offer it. So when the meseros in HK ask if I want something I say Pacifico and then they say they don't have it so I say OK then I'm fine.

But I agree. I greatly preferred Adelitas to Hong Kong due to its low-key, laid-back nature. Not a big deal but Adelitas also used to serve Corona beer, unlike the other big Zona Norte clubs that don't make Corona beer available.

Chicago is probably the closest thing to what Adelitas used to be, though I don't like it as much as I did Adelitas.

I'd have to think Adelitas will re-open eventually in some shape or form.

A lot of the chicas, especially the non-Mexicans (Venezuelans, Colombians, etc. Who aren't allowed to work at the HK-affiliated clubs) went to the Chicago Club. Some went to Tropical and some (including a couple I know) went to HK. Some of those Adelitas girls working at HK or Chicago might not be allowed to work night shift, so you might have to catch them during the day.
