I do, it's Tijuana's oldest brothel. It is more laid back then Hong Kong which is to commercialized. The girls are cooler.

I did t read articles and in general, I'll just say, govts can say anything to use as an excuse to take action. PUTIN has a big peace keeping mission going on in Ukraine. USA was in Iraq for 20 yrs because of weapons of mass destruction they unfortunately couldn't find. Everytime a dump motel is closed down by a city they use the prostitute excuse, as if prostitute isn't going down in high end hotels. Everytime someone gets shot outside a bar a town will try close it down. But kids get shot in school all the time. You can't tell me, out of that whole zona norte scene, adelitas bar, is the only place something went less than legal. Cmon. Theres so much stuff that goes on now in other bars that I find very hard to beleive is legal, die to people saying pimps and brothels are illegal in mexixo. Theres probably something else happing potlitcaly with the owner or other groups who male $ off it.

You make a very good point here and I agree with you. But it just goes to the other point I raised in my previous post about a chica I know telling me a few months ago that it was really some business people who want the AB owners out of Tijuana that's really driving all of this, not the (alleged) illegal activity. According to her some rich businessman wants the family that owns AB out of Tijuana for whatever reason and the owner of HK, who happens to be friendly with this business man and is obviously a competitor of AB, was more than happy to work with the business man to get AB shut down.

That sums up my understanding of the situation. Will stress that this stuff I'm telling you about the businessmen is NOT confirmed. I'm simply repeating what a chica who I know and trust (and was very confident in what she was saying) has told me. Will point out that I had another chica who I know and trust (and who's worked at AB for 10+ years) tell me that she'd received info from AB staff back around when AB got shut down that AB would be opening back up soon and she even had the specific starting date, but that turned out to not be true. (It was pretty much the same info Luke Powell had on a reopen date for AB.).

But yes, I agree that there are other forces in play here as whatever illegal activity was going on at AB had probably been going on for years and years.

IMO there's too much detail here for a lot of this to not be true ("true" meaning the reasons why AB shut down, not necessarily the accusations themselves), including the human trafficking stuff. The article is in a reputable newspaper (2nd oldest in Mexico City) from a reputable news reporter from what I can tell. I did ask multiple long-time AB girls about the AB having minors allegations way back when this first came about, and they all said they didn't notice anything like that, but that doesn't necessarily mean there wasn't at least some of that. Never asked about the trafficking of legally aged girls but that part is more believable, especially with some of the details here.

Total shame that it is closed. I saw the news report and articles recently as well, which to me just means that it will likely be closed a long time indeed. Once it is in the public eye, they can no longer let it slide easily.

Too bad, I had some great times there over the years and even though lately it wasn't the best, it was still a must go to spot each visit.

I just hope it comes back as something similar soon. Although, I am sure HK will probably be the ones to buy it out. They have ZN completely monopolized. It sucks. Might actually have to start looking into DejaVu and Amnesia as stops just to change up the vibes.

The article in the link above was published just an hour or so ago. Based on the ongoing investigations, it would seem to me that Adelitas won't re-open for a long, long time, if at all (though that is just my own very layman opinion). Towards the end, the article does allude to what a chica who has worked at both AB and HK, and who I trust, told me a few months ago. That the owner of AB is a millionaire who owns several businesses with AB not necessarily being the most lucrative. From what the chica told me a long while back, all this legal stuff. Whether or not it's true. Is being brought about by some other local business people (business people who happen to be friendly with the HK owners) and who are all working together with the HK owners to drive the owners of AB out of Tijuana.

I only go to Tijuana 2-4 times a year but even I recall an unsual amount of turnover with chicas and AB staff around that time.

Saturday I had a TLN with a long time former AB chica. Asked if her costumes are still locked up in AB. She said yes and has no idea when she can recover her property or when she can go back to work.

The part of the article that talks about money laundering is what I've heard from another person but since it was only one source I never wanted to put it here since it would be pure speculation and we have to much of that on this board.

To be fair she hasn't been working those 20 years straight LOL. She dips in and out. For example she hasn't been working the past couple months because she met some guy who's paying her to travel with him throughout Mexico. She says he might even pay her out through the rest of the summer.

A veteran chica at HK told me word amongst those in the know is that Adelitas will be closed for several more months.

No idea if it's true but she seemed pretty sure of it when she told me.

I totally agree with you. Chavelas used to be a fun place with girls that were nice and who would love to flirt. Only a handful of stunners but fun. You walk into Chavelas now and all you see is a bunch of the professional hoes from Hong Kong, sitting there bored to death messaging their boyfriends. They really screwed that place up joining it with Hong Kong. I honestly can't stand Hong Kong any more.

And to make matters worse, they took away the chavelas stage the girls could dance on, and now only open the front half unless it's busy moment. So the darker seating a bit more private. Is just closed. Essentially chavelas doesn't exist anymore.
