I am planning my first trip to Sosua, and I've been trying to research as much as possible for the upcoming trip. Unfortunately, all what I read in the first 10 pages were useless info about Philipines / Brazil / Columbia. 16 yrs old girfriend, US politics, and other asinine topics.

So, thanks for nothing everybody. I bet the remaining 16000 plus reports in here are probably 99. 999% useless crap and is not worth my time. Thankfully, there are other websites with a wealth of info about Sosua.

While I essentially agree with you re the tone and content of recent posts, reading only ten pages hardly qualifies as due diligence. Spend a few hours perusing posts from just the start of this year and you will get a much more representative sample of what this thread and forum have to offer.

It took a while for me to get information. But I assure you that you will get information what you need here. Rest about US politics, peoples personal views, I am hardly interested in them as well.

My recent trip has my head spinning just a little bit. I was a little concerned that the recent changes to Sosua would affect the quality of my brief vacation, but it actually turned out to be the best. Maybe my experience had a lot to do with it. Maybe the change in my mongering ways played a part. Who knows?

Anyway, my 3 day chica is blowing me up on FB. Not on my page, but with a bunch of messages and it is hard to manage. I have a real job and can't keep up. I guess I got too much of a good thing, but I deal with it because I know there is no way I'm pulling a 22 year old of equal beauty, sex appeal, and personality in the states.

I SAID I would take a long break from the DR, but after pouring over pages and pages in the Colombia and Brazil forum, I am not all the impressed. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm sure both places supposedly has quality you can't find in the DR, but if I'm more than likely to get treated like a trick, you can have it. Yes, I have an ego problem. However, it is more than that. If I don't feel a genuine connection, my Johnson does not want to come out and play.

I'm a little disappointed because I really want to spread my wings. I just don't want to spend maybe 2x the amount of a DR trip for something that has a high likelihood of being a miss. GFE and TLN appear to be rare in those other two places unless you put in some serious groundwork before your trip. I'm not all that interested in investing a lot of time talking up a semi-pro at best.

I'm really pissed because I'll be in Miami in four weeks. My hotel room was $900, the flight $300, and over four nights I can / will easily spend $1k enjoying myself. These costs are comparable (possibly higher) to a five night DR trip. I will have to put in major work to get some FREE ass. I was lucky to pull a 23 year old nice babe a couple years ago, but she couldn't compare to some of my TLN from the DR.

The Phillipines seems good and I hear great things about certain parts of Africa, but those are some long ass plane rides that eat up too much vacation time. I recently went to Thailand, but with a babe. Like a f'and idiot.

What are some good mongering spots? I tempted to stay the course and just do Brazil so I can check it off the list.

There was some talk about changes to Sosua. I'm probably the minority that thinks a little less seedy environment could be a good thing. With the beach, the ease of getting around the small town, and the ability to venture into other areas that are close. Sosua has a lot of promise.

P. S. I got some great info on a town in the DR that is not as popular as Sosua. No beach, but multiple people relayed the exact same info. I won't put it on blast, but do you homework and maybe you can figure it out. Unfortunately, I got all the info toward the end of my trip.

i just came back from a southeast asia trip. in subic city, philippines there was a man bragging about having a 16 year old girlfriend that worked in one of the local bars. i think he was a us citizen. well, he was arrested and the bar the girl worked at was closed down. my buddies and i ran across that bar. and yes, it was closed down.

well as u.s. citizens we have the dubious honor of being targets everywhere. the religious ngos can be thanked for this. i think it would be fair to say that most of the rest of the males in the world don't worry very much about the girl's being 18 or not. the filipinos in subic bay and the dominicans in sosua certainly don't. be that as it may, as is stated in the wikipedia article i sited, this 18 year age phobia is a fairly recent phenomenon. i agree with sixty two echo that its not worth bothering with young looking girls anyway. but calling a guy who is with a 16 year old a **** is, i think going too far. anyway, its a subject which is often argued but better to concentrate on sosua topics (where i will be visiting in the near future).

(14 is for very special circumstances not relavent to us.) wikapedia may say different but i know this from recently asking many attys. in medellin. i was surprised too, but they all said 18. also on medellin. i went to many casa (s) , always had a very good time. however, and very surprisingly, i did not see any really pretty faces anywhere in the city. dangerous there? very. how do i know? i meet / talked to the bandidos. guys that do the mugging. only in poblado are you safe. in el centro there are many day-time robberies. he pointed out areas you would never think are dangerous. just no police around. rumor: estimated there are 5,000 kids there that would kill you for $20 bucks.

the legal age is 18 in the dr, we all can agree on that. some like them to act 21, others want them at least 25, and some like them older. age of consent in other 3rd world countries is irrelevant, because this is the dr forum. we need to move past this topic, because people outside of our sport are ready to link mongers with ****s. the longer this is open for conversation, the more we become suspect.

i just spoke with a senior sd atty. regarding pot: he said a few times "small amounts are no big deal. police are looking for dealers. just be descrete. if taken to police station for possesion just call me." did not sound like there is much scaming. this sounds much better to me than what i've been reading here before. also, making pot legall is now being 'discussed in congress', introduced by the sd republican. re underge: he said "it's a problem. getting a photo of her id will help but you are still going to court." myself, i thinking she / they would not persue the suit if you had proof (the photo) of her lying. but, got to hold onto the camera / photo! he further said "get her name and if possible id# and i can get info on her in a few hours." i'd like to know who he can call for this info? so all. when i get there in july, i'll ask more info at the d's office.

i think people should step back a bit and think about their comments. david has a point, in many countries a 15 year old is a women and not a girl and so it is stretching the truth a little bit to say someone who had sex with a 15 old is a peodophile. most people would say the "girl" is actualy a women at that age, at least physically. certainly in latin american countries they have parties when the girl reaches 15 to celebrate her coming (no pun intended) as a women.

i think harry plopper is perhaps a bit misguided in even thinking about doing 15 year olds because 1. it is illegal in the dom rep as the age of consent is 18 and 2. what is it they have that the 20 year olds don't have? probably inexperience and no clue what they are doing.
