That's one hell of a deal. I envy some of the folks in NY / NJ / FL, hell flying out of the worlds busiest airport in Atlanta to sdq / pop / or sti prices is ridiculous as Delta has a lock on flights unless you want to waste your time and energy with Spirit or crazy connecting flights. If I do 2 months in advance flight I can get around 600 for pop 600 for sti and 500 for sdq.

That includes none stop return air fare from TO, of course. Hell of a package!

I just had my son in for a week at the Casa Marina, the price, all inclusive, $675 US for Deluxe renovated oceanview room, including single supplement. That will nearly double December thru March. Similar with short term apt, condo and villa rentals, you pay a premium.

I've been to the su over 10 times this might be the last time I go for a while. I am starting to branch out and try some new countries. I love the set up in Sosua. Everything on foot the beach is really nice. There's still a great time to be had, but I also see what everyone is saying as far as the overall quality going down and the bullshit. I always manage to have a great time there. I think it's just time for me to see some different scenery.

When reading these posts, keep in mind that the high season in Sosua, like PP and Cab, runs from mid November to mid May. That's when it gets really busy. It's also a little more comfortable, temperature wise.

A lot of reports about the lack of quality/quantity are posted during the slow months, June through November. That's when it's hot, humid and subject to hurricane weather. The doldrums.

We have the same pattern of visiting Sosua. I go 4 or 5 times a year like you. I agree pulling girls from the strip has its risks but is a lot of fun. Every now and then you get a lemon but over all the chicas are rather nicce. Do not forget some of us mongers are ass holes. I have met more then my share. Hesitating between these places.

Just came back from a week in sosua. I had a blast overall! The weather was perfect! As usual a lot of buddies were in town, in addition to friends who live there. This was probably my 5th thanksgiving in sosua. There seemed to be a lot less guys to me. In my opinion its slowi ng down. I had good sex on most days. There were enough attractive women. Had a gorgeous Venezuelan chica the day before I left! Smoking body with awesome service. Cost me 3500 pesos, worth every penny.

I know you are this board's car hire fetishist, Sammon, but public transport does run past Kviar to Sosua with reasonably frequency even in the small hours and for nominal cost. Different story if raining, of course, but that is relatively rare.

Why did you post about Kviar in the Sosua section rather than the Puerto Plata section?
