I could not stop laughing reading the ending comments even though the subject is not exactly that funny.

I studied Chem and Math during my undergrad years so all your erudite references to Biology went over my head. Having said that, I do have to wonder though. I thought children in the US are supposed to be vaccinated against a boat load of stuff before they are allowed to attend a public (and Private) school. So the posters here, surprised that others have been vaccinated, never went to school? That may explain such questions.

I raised all of my children vaccine free. Not one has come down with anything other than the common cold or flu. And that was very far and few between. I used all available means to avoid giving that poison to my children. All are fine healthy adults. Of course we didn't have the volume of drugs they hit them' with today. Fact is fellows, if you want it, take it, if you don't, don't. Great exchange of information and let's get back to mongering. Oh, as for going to school I commonly used the religious angle to prevent them for obtaining vaccines. Sure they had a couple, like smallpox, tetanus and polio but none of the rest. Those are proven pretty safe in my opinion but none of the rest.

Because you (referring to the militant anti-vaxxers-not you) are smarter than Doctors, know about The Conspiracy and are not a "Yes Man".

You have to learn every lesson for yourself. You need to get infected and sick (with everything a vaccine could have prevented) to get your immunity the "organic" way.

What I find most funny about these anti-vaxxers, organic, vegan gluten-free types is that they often feel the need to brand themselves with tattoos. They go to some storefront and pay thousands to have someone administer ten thousand injections of heavy metals, pigments of unknown types and sources INJECTED into the largest organ of their body. Their skin. Permanently!

Because the hundreds of Influenza A and be viruses move around the country and world all the time. They also change and evolve. They can change in two different ways—antigenic drift and antigenic shift.

The vaccine combinations try to forecast what virus might hit the particular area and formulate that year's combo-vaccine. If someone comes to Pulaskie West Virginia from Chile and infects someone with an influenza virus from Chile that was not expected in Pulaskie, then that vaccinated person gets a flu variant from Chile. If he passes it onto his sister during coitus, then it is likely their cousins will get it too. Unless they are doing it doggy style!

By your logic, you should only take a vaccine that you developed. Highly unlikely if you don't have the critical thinking skills to know the answers to the questions you facetiously asked.

If you and the other anti-vaxxers want to see how ridiculous you look like to those who have gone to medical school for a decade, to start, and then continue to practice and learn to be able to understand biology, immunology, phyiology, etc etc. Go to YouTube and watch some aviation accident videos. Look for the comments from non-pilot know-it-alls who try to sound smart by explaining that the same thing happened when the "turbo whatchamacallit on my brother-in-law's cousins Cessna Piper Learjet failed to activate when the T-cell receptors did a loop-de-loop because he didn't file a Flight Plan when he almost crashed into a schoolyard of innocent children".

Seriously, this what anti-vaxxers sound like to those who actually have knowledge and education outside of the type of "research" materials Google and YouTube spoon feeds you based on your cookies and browsing history. You and the anti-vaxxers don't see real medical papers on Page One and I don't get "Recommended" YouTube videos of Gwyneth Paltrow's vagina detox rocks.

The only way I'll get the vaccine is if its mandatory for travel. Bruh is right. No telling what's in that vaccine. Plus their rushing it. But of I can't fly without it I'll get it.

So for all your intelligent research, specific knowledge of very real and specific risks and consequences, use of fetal cells, Hippocratic Oath workarounds and "who knows what they put into vaccines". You have already over-ridden your thinking brain with your emotional need to travel to see cheap hookers in far-off countries? 1. It would not matter how polite you were, a doctor would simply think you were not very intelligent if you were to decline a COVID-19 vaccine. After all, the disease causes a horribly painful death and has already killed about 375,000 people in the world.

2. MRC-5 is NOT a commonly used cell line for vaccines. Most manufacturers use CHO cells (hamster fibroblasts). That being said, most of the vaccines under development do not use cell lines at all. They use RNA or DNA, which can be synthesized. Even the vaccines that are from whole killed virus, like polio vaccine is made, use Vero cells (which are monkey cells).

3. You need to use a dictionary and learn the proper definition of iatrogenic.

In addition, doctors don't mandate border policies, nor would most of them see vaccinating an individual to be against the Hippocratic oath. And while it is true that a vaccine might have bad consequences for a few unlucky individuals, they mostly have saved lives. Millions of lives.

I do not think you get it. The point is not whether you have the right to decline the vaccine. The point is that countries have the right not to let you enter unless you have been vaccinated. It is the same with yellow fever. Some countries will not allow you to enter without proof that you have had the yellow fever vaccination, and it could be the same requirement should they come up with a C19 vaccination.

So once again, what is your plan should those countries you want to travel to announce that people that have not had the vaccine can not enter their country? Are you going to get vaccinated, or are you going to stay home?
