The passport card. I always carry it on me when abroad. It's better to lose that than an actual passport. Maybe you're right, and it's not necessary in Sosua, I don't know.

Cash? It was less than $40. I don't know, you need to have some money on you, I guess.

I don't know. Everyone has their own security method. I always carry a wallet in my pants though, after my childhood buddy who later became a semi-career criminal showed me how they casually "beat" the wallet out of a jacket. I presume the same method would work on a shirt pocket, too.
I have had a couple of week moments, but for that reason, I don't carry much $$ on the street. I usually where a pair of thin gym shorts underneath my pants to put money in, it has done the trick. But I forgot to do this a couple of years ago in Santo Domingo, lost some cash. Some chicas, and others, are real sneaky!

The idea isn't to stroll out the door with the mindset of being willing to accept what you can afford to lose. A better mindset is not to bring things that you don't intend to use where you are going. You can't assume you can trust people just because they interact with you, and smile in your face. I have learned through the years living abroad, is that its risky assuming a friendly smile and inviting conversation is cause to be at ease and not be aware of a potential scam or ulterior motivation behind someone's sudden interest (The short and the long game). My way is to give individuals zero credibility. Prepare for the worst in people, but be flexible enough to embrace the good when it is genuine.

No biggie, Tempo, it's obviously a "one off" from a long time poster.

But they should fix that automatic text correction, that can make a post nonsensical, and eats up editing time.

A Report from the ground is worth a hundred opinions, rumors, and third hand "intel" from lurkers in the "peanut gallery"!

I'm betting your Austrian Schnitzel place will be open by December, along with some others that invariably get a name change during slow season.

    Sosua Petite Dominican Chick

First time in the DR. Plenty of options on the streets, hanging around the disco club, saw a chick near new garden where there were less people and we were negotiating a price. She started to grab the crotch and twirling around for me to see. And I decided to go for it. Took her to the crib, she took a shower by herself and didn't let me in. Started off with a CBJ, made sure to show the kids some love as well. Then she turned around for some RCG but I smelled something funky. It wasn't too bad but there was a small stench. Pounded away and blasted in the raincoat.

The place lost its character long ago, but posters who previously brought this to the forefront were always ridiculed by a couple of diehards. Is it now your turn to be ridiculed?

    Thanks for the report.

Around this time of year we always get a lot of gripes about the lack of action in Sosua.

Summer doldrums in August with the stifling heat. The beaches are burning. Even I took a short break back home.

Some restaurants close up for the season, not to reopen until after the hurricane season, and the number of tourists and hookers falls off sharply. But it's not permanent.

It all starts up again in November, and the complaints change to overbooking at hotels, noisy rooms and chicas who won't take less than $100.

That said, if you can stand the heat, hotels and chicas tend to be cheaper, as they compete for your business.

    The Vet experience

When you have been going th DF for many years you have sean almost everything. Sosua has few surprises but it is still a fantacy for us older guys. Getting 20 year old pussy when you are 50/60 is th fountain of youth. Vets have their own harem of go to girls who have been vetted and give great service.

I once gave some money to a chica who called me later and said she had been robbed.

She wanted me to pay her again!

I said, isn't it lucky they didn't steal your Iphone too?

    Lol

Reminds me of a conversation I had with local family members, while drinking beer in Charamicos one Sunday.

I asked a couple of the local young guys, how they felt about old gringos fucking all their beautiful young chicas.

They laughed and said, that by the time you guys get to them, we have already had them and gave them their kids, and you get them when we're done with them!

They start very young down here, so if it is you that is "training them" you could be in trouble with the law, LOL.

    August 2019 trip

I just did a 7 day stint in Sosua.

    Highlights:

    1) It was very very hot and it rarely rained. I never went out during.

The time when the sun was high up in the sky. I also never walked the.

Center because of the fact that I did not need to go to my usual.

Think the Austrian Schintzel place has closed. There were hardly any.

Women around and I was witness to the police (a woman cop at that).

Chasing a woman. Who ran and took shelter in a colmado but the police.

Came with big gun - 8/9 of them, big truck to chase a puny woman who.

    Looked hungry.

    2) Perhaps this is the low season but I found the place is slowly losing.

Its character. Construction boom, some one is investing speaking of.

Which, I heard the Chinese are putting in money. Indeed the mountain.

Road to Santiago that I did is much improved and it would be a lot.

Better when in the next 2-3 years it gets completed.

    3) The exchange rate at Caribe express was 51.20 for the US dollar.

    4) I found a very good Italian restaurant in Cabarete. Called Cabarete.

Beach restaurant, the food is excellent, it also has a great location.

With a pool on one side and the sea right the other. It takes about 15.

Minutes driving out of Sosua and is part of some VIVA thing, located.

Before the main drag and traffic light of Cabarete.

    5. I never picked a woman out on the street. They all came to me and.

Never paid more than 1800, starting from a 1200, but I did have various.

Gifts, especially food and I never had them overnight. Most women washed.

The dishes and left the bed re-made but I had to ask. In short I had.

Very little to complain about except the punctuality but we cannot have.

It all. As time rolls on, I find it hard to produce enough bodily fluid.

To manage 2 women each day on a regular basis. What a sad state of.

Affairs. Famine when away and fiesta while on the island.

Finally, I had commented on someone's asking me about Sosua and I.

Thought it might be worthwhile repeating my thoughts especially when I.

See men calling women by the B/ H- word and wondering why service is so.

    Sketchy.

    A) Sosua is small and hence the concept of 3/4/5 star is moot. Airbnb -.

I do not do as there might be restrictions. For a very decent hotel, I.

Strongly recommend Hotel Casa Valeria, run by the Dutch; also New Garden.

Which is right next door but the new wing, run by an Italian. I have.

Not stayed at New Garden but at Casa Valeria, and I can strongly.

Recommend it, in terms of quality, proximity and guest friendliness.

    B) I have been going there for quite a while and so one picks up people.

And some leave and some are added over time. Reason why I do not look.

For anyone on the street. I have primarily used Badoo, and Facebook -.

The second takes quite a bit of time as it targets regular people.

Compared to the first site which have the target population. I also use.

My present connection to introduce me to others.

As you can see, there is no magic but dedicated time; I speak the.

Language which helps but one has the advantage of Google translate these.

    Days.

    C) Speaking of how much, curious that you wish to stay in a "4 star".

Place but not pay more than 2000 pesos to a woman? My personal method is.

Not to flaunt a fancy hotel to people you do not want to pay more than.

2000 (they expect more just by the look of the place you stay in). Also.

Some women may be worth more if they are giving you the time and.

Attention, so my suggestion is not to get swayed by the magic of a.

Number. Of course, this logic may or may not fly with the street walkers.

    - key reason why I avoid them, as well as anyone who speaks English.

Clear sign that the merchandise is well used.

    D) As for women, it is predominantly black in various shades plus some.

White. The thing is that my "great girl" may be just a "meh" for others.

And as such no point comparing.
