With this said I would like you to help me understand your transition to the Haitianas. I don't live in the DR, but I do because I'm always there. I like the same things about the DR that you do. What is it that you have now discovered?

I prefer Haitianas for the same reasons that you do, but for reasons of infrastructure, cost, language, etc. I find it preferable to live in the DR. However I may go to live in Haiti at some point.

In the DR the kind of women one meets in prostitution venues or places where women hope to meet tourists for a relationship online or by working in tourist restaurants and bars, inevitably a large percentage of the women will come from criminal or underclass backgrounds and bring a certain amount of baggage in terms of a propensity to scam benefactors or family members, etc.

Maybe because I only ordered a slice as to why mine was thick and bland. Another couple ordered a whole pizza and it looked a lot thinner than my slice. Here are the menus.

The pizza I had was a medium, but it was fairly large and very mediocre. The crust was thick and soft and I like them thin and crunchy.

If you look carefully at the menu posted, you will see that the list of toppings is very limited. For example no mushrooms, anchovies, black olives, onions, green pepper, red peppers, fresh tomatoes, or pineapple, never mind any of the more exotic toppings like margerita (basil) or roasted garlic.

I asked for a ham and mushroom pizza, and they said it would be extra for the mushrooms and the medium pizza was almost US$20 and completely lacking in flavor with a very bland crust that seemed to need more salt. They did find some mushrooms, but it was obvious that they were the cheap sliced mushrooms out of a can.

I belong to your club. I have been to Thailand / Indonesia / HongKong etc for perhaps 50 times but I find the DR to be very different. Language and hence connections make a huge difference. I was at a Barber shop in San Francisco de Macoris. I accept that if you are a guy of 60, even if reasonable looking, attractive chicas of 20 are going to have sex with you for some perceived economic benefit, so this does not bother me at all.
