Saw a report on CNN today that the US State Department says there has been no uptick in US tourist deaths in the DR. It reports that the media focus on recent incidents only make it appear that way.

My buddy sent me something yesterday of a guy talking about since China is trying to come into DR, the US govt has decided to publicize what has always been normal deaths as a form of propaganda to scare tourists away and hit DR in the pocket for working with China.

The only deaths I see as suspicious are the four where the two couples died together.

I personally note that lately reports include deaths of people that died in 2018, even going back to 2016. That said, I would really like to see reports from US authorities that give definitive assessments for the causes of the deaths.

I would not offer 4 or 5000 right away without knowing how friendly this girl is and how she satisfies you in sex. I generally bargain from 2000 for whole night. I was answering someone's question, mainly about Cabarete. I don't personally overpay, but it seems some here are complaining about rising prices.

The "Chinese" food in the DR is a re-hash of the classic and unfortunately "popular" DR food, fried chicken and friend banana (and now french fries), followed by a bit of Chinese stuff. These I first noticed in other cities, like Santiago etc but now in Sosua, within a span of a few blocks, there are several, and so yes, you do see a good number of Chinese around. The DR folks are getting fatter by the minute, as people in the inner cities are, and for similar reasons. Personally, I wonder, which province of China, are these people from. Typically it is chain migration and usually geographically focused.

Chinese people are doing in DR as they have done everywhere else. They go to a country with the clothes on their backs and knowing zero of the language and living with the whole family in one room. They start doing stuff like selling fruit on the corner. They finally have enough money to start a small store. They save enough for a bigger store or restaurant. They do not buy extravagant things, instead using their money to send their kids to school while living in the back of the store or restaurant.

The kids graduate with degrees in business. They save money and open more stores and restaurants. They now have a command of the language in their new country. Now they have a whole chain of reataurants and stores and are able to move to a big house and buy nice things.

Meanwhile, the locals that have been sitting around bullshitting the whole time hate them and swear the government gave them this, that, and the other so that they would be able to get rich. This exact scenario has happened in too many countries to count.

Prices seem to be fluid. I haven't seen tons of info on Cabarete. My trip there, I pulled a girl from Tinder. Short term was a little more than Sosua, but I don't have a big sample size.

Sosua is point and click could not be easier. You have no worries. Your problem is deciding which girl gets your leche. Don't over think it. Most girls will go for 2000 pesos offer 1500 and go no higher then 2500 for short time. If you find one you like keep her for a while the sex will get better. Jiust remember you are the boss. Be cautious of overly aggressive girls. If they promise to much avoid them. These are the ones who do 180's when they ge to the room. Avoid girls who are in packs they tend to be the seasoned hardcore girls. It is hard to judge but hardcore girls can sometimes screw your brains out but for newby they can be trouble. End of the day you will an awesome time 200 plus willing women dream come true.

Just got back last week. Usual short trip. It went much better compared to the last trip. Women wise. Food wise, it was pretty bad until I heard a great piece of news, lamentably late. An Italian restaurant in Cabarete. Beach side, I think it is how it is called. Those that are into food, may want to try it but it is in Cabarete. The dollar exchange rate is 50.6 at Caribe and interestingly I got the same rate at Playero supermercado, when I paid with foreign currency.

Mangoes aplenty and good ones. There are Chinese eateries even on the main drag now so yes, certain changes are visible and probably investments in real estate is happening. Girls I cannot speak of. There were plenty on the streets despite the heat but I have no need as those I need, visit me directly. Had a BnB place, so I could make my cuppa tea when I wished. The day I left, put all the unused grocery in a bag for a girl to take home with her. No wasting anything. Very pleased with that.

So, to sum it up, I just visited the DR and came back, and not in a body bag! Granted I only had a couple of Coronas and Grappa. Most stay way from such things I guess at the "unlimited drink" places. Jajaja!
