I look at the Sue like it's one popular karaoke bar around the corner from my house. It's easy for many first timers to get up on the stage and do their thing. Though, I'm now a regular customer and have too performed in the past; I am not there for the singing. I'm not there for the drink specials on draft beer. I feel it's water down. Also the weekend warriors can stray only so far, reason why the DR is impacted so much more than, say, Colombia or Thailand. I would also bet that there is no perfect place. I say this because I learned after having screwed up, whether it was Japan / Korea (what decadence! Or Aus / NZ or S. E Asia, heck even in safe Hamburg, not to speak of your favorite country, which I visited about 30 times and even stayed at the Oriental and similar along the Chao Phraya, at company expense.

Point is: let's not put down a place or a person just because there are "better" ways. There is space for all, including those women who too have to eat!

As someone that now lives in Sosua until I can get back to Pattaya with no restrictions Sosua is far from a top Mongering destination. What MR E said about agreeing to one price and then making a scene back at the hotel to get more money happens more than it should and is a reason I don't even bother with these chicas they are low class. A Little story I went to Kings / Rumbas and the quality was so bad when dudes tell me they pulled a dime I'm like from where because I think the chicas walking around are just ugly. I mostly mix and match wherever I go. I probably do 80% free chicks to 20% paid ones. I have been in Colombia for the last 9 days in 3 different cities with freebies. There are other mongering places that you don't have to worry about shit like that. Even Old Kool now agrees that the quality has gone way down. Sosua is what you make it. The OG's can still find quality in sosua and if they can't they already have a built in local network to where they can find what they want. Let take Bangkok as an example. I stayed at the marriot sukumvit. Most of the massage parlors are two train stops away from the marriot. With most the actions being around Nana plaza and soi cowboy.

Like oldkool said you have to do your research to know where the action is in most cities especially if someone wants to be close to the action. In sosua you are close to everytime no matter where you stay.

Like I said this is all subjective. The point is to help more guys feel comfortable about taking their first trip.

No long haul travel, no big city traffic gridlock.

For those who complain about chica prices here, look at the costs and the effort you put in, to get to these places at the other side of the world. Now for me, that's expensive, and stressful. Not quality time.

Here you can get a decent chica friendly hotel room with kitchen, in the middle of the action for $45 dollars.

Air fare, $450, Room for a week, $300.

Going rates for a decent chica, $40 to $60. And good restaurants and 3 beaches all within a 10 minute walk.

For a Toronto visitor you can breakfast in Toronto, and lunch on the beach by 1 pm, no stress.

Hard to beat. Especially if you are not into Thailand or Philippine women, like me.

The DR for a variety of reasons has been letting go of its own specialties, and so you see Rap music replacing their own Bachata, Salsa and Merengue, (or adopting hamburgers and fried food, with significant impact on their girth and health) as they try to cater to their customers. A bigger country with a strong inner root would not change so quickly, as the DR has.

The new weekend warriors have limited time and unlimited money, and feel 100 usd to 200 usd is the going rate in Sosua. They have many tells and are easy for the girls to figure out.
