Sosua is full of what has been called: Pro Pros. They have been described as some of the hardest of the hard of the prostitutes the island has to offer. If I was looking for a girl friend experience (GFE) Sosua is the last place on this island I would look for it. I'm with Sub on this. Mr. SP you've experience what many first time people experience in the Sue. Listen newbies if you have not been to the Sue, please understand this. Those girls are street walkers. They are their own boss. If they think they can give you the service that they desire, for the money you both agreed on, today was a good day. It also could be that you were not in the right place or you were not communicating effectively, giving off the right body language signals to let the hos know you are a player but you don't play or simply not paying enough to get the type of sex that you desire.

Well you pretty much nailed it there. The advice you read from the so called "vets" about their Sosua experience is not yours. You are not the hardened vet that all the "touts" know about and therefore steer away. Even with my many years of experience I get approached. A persistent tout or vendor gets the command voice where I speak in English "get the fuck out of my face with that shit" and follow up in Spanish with "Hablo espanol vivo aqui" (I speak Spanish I live here). Sometimes I add a vulgarity in Spanish sometimes not. That pretty much shuts them up and they move on. Now, you are not me nor are you the vets but at least you have the idea that when you face an aggressive vendor or tout in the Dominican Republic in the future that an aggressive response is required.

Rest assured there are many locations and beaches in the Dominican Republic that do not have vendors and touts roaming the beach bugging the heck out of you. Those are the ones that I frequent and trust me they are not in the puta pueblos of Sosua and Boca Chica. Holla at brother when you are wheels down at SDQ if you want to see what a real city in the Dominican Republic looks like. But remember that in Santo Domingo este if you want to run with the big dogs better be able to do your business in tall grass. This ain't Sosua. LOL!

Good response and the only thing that I would ad is for the OP is when traveling especially to a new place is to have little or no expectations, just go with the flow and sometimes your surprised at what you experience but sometimes not.

I too have experienced the Sue over a year ago, spent as I recall 11 days in the Sue, I probably won't return as I have other places (ie Colombia) where I spend my money and time.

My experience has been full of uninspired and largely mechanical service from all the chicas I sampled. I did not find anything in Sosua that was noteworthy or enjoyable to do. I anticipated this and thought it'the be fine to spend my days relaxing on the beach and enjoying the beautiful waters (and they were indeed gorgeous). But the vendors were incessant in trying to peddle their wares and the beggars more so in trying to pull any amount of pesos I would be kind enough to spare. I thought that's fine I'll say no gracias and they'll get the point, but that was a fun and naive idea. No gracias only meant that they would literally pull up to the chairs next to you and even get up and walk with you hoping you'the change your mind and that your wallet would suddenly open up for these friendly amigos. Did not enjoy the food offerings either.
