Ahnvee is pretty slow tonight. 200 peso cover. 150 presidente, 200 corona. Two guys walking out empty handed before I do. Sucks if you have a short bench. Wanted something new. Some of the local chicas just won't go to the Ahmvee pro meat market, just for appearances sake. For them it has a bad rep, and they are all marked immediately as hookers. Might as well pin a menu on them and give them a ticket machine, LOL. The pros obviously love it and they make a good living. The place is always full enough.

But for the semi and occasional chica, it takes away some of their game, the allure of a GF fantasy, for a night, a weekend or even a week. Just like in the old days.

They are hanging out with their GFs, at home, in the smaller bars, and picking a some of their business from regulars and their smartphone contact lists. These are the ones some visitors prefer. Someone who comes out preparing to meet a guy for the evening, clean and fresh, and not still dripping from the other 5 guys she's just come from, and not in such a godawful hurry.

They are building a new big spot up in the area, and a couple of other bars will be opening, so it looks like there'll be a choice of places to sit and chill, with or without a chica, like downtown used to be.

That is, unless Willy gets elected and moves the action downtown again, but I don't see that happening.

But even though the chica parade is over, you can still pick up casual chicas at the corner of Rosen and up from there.

The last few girls have all quote 3,000 for short time. But the most recent one quote me 4,000 for two hours. I came back with my standard 2,500 and she said it would be only one hour. I thought for a second and figured that is all I really needed. So that's the deal that got made. Was fine for me.

I was there for a five day stint.

I get to Santiago using a red eye (annoying but is more affordable and works with my work schedule, even though I paid a hefty $650 which is cheaper compared to Pto Pta). I have an Uber driver who took me to Sosua (2000 pesos) but first I went to a Santiago supermercado and both I and the Uber driver had breakfast. Got to Sosua at about 8 AM. I stay at an apartment and had asked the driver to buy me some fresh goat meat which I can cook there. He did.

As a reminder, I go to Sosua, not for the women walking about (there are fewer and fewer of them anyway, visibly, with cops scaring them away) as women can be found all over with a little bit of resourcefulness. Thanks Heavens! So I did not have to go to Ahnvee or similar spots and have no pointers on that.

I tried three places for fish. One was a recommendation of a forum member (Jorge Mayra #64 even though I wanted to go to Aris #64 but did not realize until later that I got to the wrong 64 spot), I also went to a faraway place called Sabaneta recommended by a woman which turned out to be very bad for me. Fried fish of no flavor and that gave me acidity and, finally my favorite Italian place. Classy Beachside restaurant in Cabarete. I have posted two pictures.

Various women visited me. I had actually brought a doll for one of the women's 4 year old daughter. Whose birthday was imminent. Another woman I know, is pregnant and she came to see me too. I had brought prenatal vitamins for her, which apparently is expensive for her. Small gestures make it easy for all and so does the time together. No need to discuss prices, hours, and all those things that at least for me are downers for a hard on.

Interestingly, I had a new visitor who on her second visit asked me if she could bring her cousin and I assented. I bought then Coronas (a dozen of them) and pizza and other small eats. What with my bluetooth speaker, and good Spanish music, we soon had a party. Something I have not had in a while. Curious how a few bottles allow a woman to rub against you, with her cousin present, against the backdrop of music. Enjoyed that quite a bit after a long hiatus.

Went to the New Garden restaurant one evening for my post dinner expresso, and a glass of grappa. Met two young blokes, from Canada. Though one was of Ethopian and the other of Somalian extraction. Had a very nice conversation with the two rookies who then left for Ahnvee.

Was looking forward to mangoes. Very poor quality this time of the year.

With all due respect to anyone acclaiming the superiority of other spots in the DR, Sosua suits me just fine: small footprint, excellent food options and as usual, without any shortage of female companions. It will continue to draw me in.

Well from the limited reports I have seen about Ahnvee it would appear that this new joint may have a taste of Help in it.

I guess I'll ask a few dumb questions. Is it ok to visit without being a hotel guest? Is there a takeout fee?

I plan on staying at New Garden per Mr. Slick { Go Go}. It is close by and the word is they have a great breakfast included into the room rate.

I'm a funny type of guy. I see a lot of Sosua Vets looking to go to Colombia instead of the DR. That is fine with me as I have had my fill of Colombia and I like to swim against the tide so I'm going to give Sosua another try. It has been about 11 years since my last visit there. Of course a TR will follow if I pull the trigger. The main thing that is holding me back is there are no flights to Sosua. My airline arrives in Santiago at 2 AM and leaves for FLL at 3 AM. I know it may be a small thing for some but I like to have better air times than that. Yes I know from Miami the times are better but my home city only goes to FLL.

I like to come and go from the airport in Santiago because the redeye's match my work schedule. I know a good driver, but he charges 100. In box me if you want the contact.

Your a vet, so you'll figure it out quickly. I will tell you Dominicanas are not generally as GFE as Colombianas.

The trick in sosua in my opinion is to build a WhatsApp crew and session with them at least once per trip. My experience is the sex just gets better and better. It takes time, but the smarter chicas will appreciate being a regular and will take care of you. I love the sue. The beach, the camaraderie, etc. But it's better now that I have a solid team. Peace. Ahnvee is wide open and free admission. A mini Help is a good comparision. You will have a great time. Plenty of women waiting for you. The venue is very attractivr. Large screen TVs everywhere. The staff doesa realgood job serving.

Yes, any guy can visit. No takeout fee. Just a cover fee to get in lately. The girls that are working are independent. You make a deal with them. I've only made short-time deals so far at 2,500 pesos but YMMV. I'm sure less popular girls can be had for less. One of the locals that drives a moto gets his for around 1,500 but told me some of the top girls would not take 1,500.

I have not stayed in the New Garden, but others have and they gave me good reports. During my visit a few years ago I ate breakfast there every morning. Great breakfast in the style of my country of origin. Also, I liked to get a table overlooking the street. I always enjoyed watching the walk of shame from there.
