    Trip Report 9-9-16 Part 3

I got a few PM's on the side asking the same questions, so I'll post the answers here.

Did you go anywhere else? Yes.

I set a plan to do 2 things outside my norm on this trip. I jumped in a publico to meet a friend at the airport instead of having his driver pick me up. I took another publico and went to La Sirena and the Malecon in Puerto Plata. Took another publico and went to Cabarete. And I met a dude who lives there who volunteered to drive to Santiago. On the way, he stopped by a few of his "girlfriends" houses in different barrios to show me around.

    Did you drive? Fux no!

Too many warnings from the vets over the years. See last question. But I can see how driving is necessary. I'm not at peace with doing it myself yet, but will have to seriously reconsider it, or hire a driver. The drive through the mountains was some on some next level shit. You need some steel balls, and you need not go at night. But you need a car to get into the barrios and to pick up strays along the main road.

Are the girls better? Yes and no.

They are the same girls you would find in Sosua, but without the sllut wear, makeup hair and nails. And as a result, they are happy to take a fraction of what I was paying on the strip. And I'm a 1500/2000 dude. And yes, I did say FRACTION.

Did they cost the same? Yes and no.

Cabarete girls cost more, period. I didn't take any. Santiago girls cost more, but depending on your perspective. Are higher quality. As for everywhere else, the thing I found is that you can find girls who are happy to come over just. JUST FOR BUS FARE! They are happy just to be away from their barrio for a day or two.

Did you have luck with Tagged? Yes.

No one wanted to come to Sosua, though. They all wanted me to come to their town. One girl had a car, and said she would come to Sosua, but wanted me to pay to fill up her tank. That was going to be 2800 pesos, so I passed.

    What was Cabarete like?

Kinda like a sleepy beach town on the north cost of Hawaii or like certain beach towns in California. Definitely a surfer vibe to the place.

    Hope this helps someone.

    Nope, it's Open

No, my dude. It was very much open. I've never been to Santiago, and I was sitting in the VIP area just in front of the bathroom. I was there really early, and not many girls were on the floor so I found the patio area and chilled at the grill where all the girls were eating dinner. This was Tuesday night.

I don't take it as argumentative. I've seen some posts over the years where people have posted absolute garbage. Makes me wonder if they ever left their basement. But as I said in my trip report. This is eyewitness news, not lie witness news. I don't know any politicians, police chiefs, or any of the local brouhaha. I'm just saying what I'm' seeing. I'll post a separate report in the Santiago thread for the other part of my trip.

    Is Sosua shut down? No.

Hungry hoes got to eat, babies need pampers, sick grandmas need medicine, and bitches need Iphones and Galaxies.

Final analysis. I made up my mind on this trip to start moving around. As uncomfortable as it is. Went to Santiago, tried out Passions. That joint is on some next level shit compared to the one in Sosua. Hit a few other spots. You got to come out of your comfort zone! If not, you'll be stuck with Sosua gives you. If you want to know what that's going to be like. Well. Just think about shopping at Walmart! Pic attached. Some of these mofos acting like they're doing YOU a favor!
    Damn good report.

I also need to break out of my comfort zone also and explore a little.

Is it different from the last time you were there? Yes.

It's been different every time I've gone for the last 5 years, though. The the vibe in the air is really different. I used feel welcome when I walked around. Now I kinda just feel "tolerated".................

Can you still find some pussy on the street? Yes, they are still walking around, just not on the strip for the main 2 blocks between Classico and Rumba.

You got to walk around Dr Rosen, New Garden, the ice cream shop, the Orange store, New York Pizza, Morua Mai, and the beach. But still plenty out there.

Do I need to pipeline with Tagged or DC before I go? No.

You can still find plenty of chicas when you get there.

Should you gather chicks numbers for Whatsapp? Yes.

You never know when you won't find someone on the street that you want, and you'll need to call someone over. And they WILL come over.

Are chicks really going to jail? Yes.

500 pesos and overnight in jail if they're caught.

Rockys has a ribs and chicken buffet on Friday and Saturday. I forgot how much it costs. But it was reasonable.

Did you see my favorita on the street / in the club / in the casino? Yes.

I saw her with dick in her mouth. Come on dudes. It's not your girl, it's just your turn! On another board I read, dudes be on that shit posting pics of girls and asking if anyone has seen them. Translation. They sending that cash, and want to make sure she's being loyal. Dem hoes ain't loyal!

I'm not putting anyone on blast, but I smashed this shorty a few years back. She was fresh off the boat, and I could tell. She was really shy, and I took mad pics and shit.

She's a pro now. Two or 3 times a day she changes her Whatsapp pic to one with her and a dude, or another with just him. Can anyone do the math? I saw her tonight, showed her the Whatsapp profile pic, like I do every time I see her, and her and her girlfriend just laughed. And I ask what I always ask. Donde tu novio. And she says what she always says. Solo mi amigo. And then she laughs again and asks if I want to blow her back out and take more pictures and videos.

What did everyone do after Classico and Merengue close? Go to the casino or go home.

Be careful using that strategy. The choice girls are picked early, and gone. They know there is point in rushing to come back to the strip. The only ones left going to the casino are ones you probably don't want, or are going to have a problem with.

Do I really need to start my night earlier? Yes.

That includes me. I used to take a nap and wake up around 9, go get dinner around 10 ish, be done by 11, and then start thinking about what or who I was going to do. Can't do that anymore. Got to start your night earlier.

    Is sosua dead? No.

It's not dying. It's changing. You need to change too.

Final analysis. I made up my mind on this trip to start moving around. As uncomfortable as it is. Went to Santiago, tried out Passions. Trip Report 9-9-16 Part 1

I've been reading this forum for years, and noticed that for the past few weeks, things are rather dead here.

I got back last night after 6 days in the mix. Here are some warnings about this post. There will be no efforts to ponder, pontificate, or philosophize what's going on in Sosua. I don't have any connections to the mayor, the police chief, or the kids who want to shine my sneakers. I won't be discussing the meaning of life or the political climate. There will be no analysis of the Spanish language or the Dominican dialect. I'm going to give it to you straight with no filter. This shit is eye witness news, not lie witness news, so take this for what it is. Cool? Run it.

Friday Night / Saturday night. Street packed. Classico's packed. Merengue Bar packed with all the chicas that didn't want to pay the admission. This is normal.

    Club X. GONE.

    Winners Circle. GONE.

Bourbon Street is the center of the universe for now. Packs of 4-6 chicas taking up tables and ordering a plate of fries to share so they can stay. A few roam in and try to catch your eye so that they can sit down with you. Chicas that you will have seen in the past will try to latch on to you and linger so they can stay in the restaurant and not be on the street.

Chez Mon Real renovation is finished and they are open. Lots of chicas hanging out here on the outside tables. A few chicas on the inside, but they too are ordering plates of fries to stay.

Dlatin still closed, and there were no signs of construction during the days I was there. They have taken down the high front wall and replaced it. Pic below.

Rumba is still closed, and there was no sign of activity during the day. Snapped a pic with chicken man chatting with a dude out front. Note that they moved the staircase for the upstairs part. It used to face the street, now it faces inside the restaurant.

People kept saying that the sidewalk is jacked up, but no one really says that that means. Here is what that means. Pic attached.

Cops are still picking up chicas. There seems to rhyme or reason to who they pick up. I wish they would pick up these "too young girls", pre teen street hustlers, and known pick-pockets.

The best change rate I got was 45.90 with the dude inside the cage in the Orange plaza. Considering that the bank rate is 46.06, I thought that was damn good. Most other places are changing at 45.50 or 45.60.

The Cigar bar is closed. I don't remember seeing anyone report that. Pic attached.

Schlemmer Stube (the german place) is open but only folks in there to eat. See next.

Bar Central is open, but only folks in there to drink. The Haitian embassy days are over for now. See next.

The new Haitian Embassy is City Lights. 90% of them have moved there from everywhere else they used to hang out. City Lights has a real DJ, multiple bartenders, quite a few waitresses, and some girls in uniform that dance to the DJs on the dance floor.

The beach was hot as fuck. My feet were burning from walking on the sand.

Morua Mai is still open, but closed on Tuesdays now.

Venezuelans are infiltrating Sosua. And they are asking for stupid money right off the top. Usually $100 or $125 in US.

M&M massage is still a good place to get a legit massage.

Classicos was open Friday and Saturday until 2 am. Sunday until midnight. Closed Monday night. Merengue was the spot to be in Monday night.

On the nights that things closed at midnight, the strip was cleared out by 12:15 tops. Usually by 12:12 the last bikes were pulling off.

The word is getting out about Kviar being the new spot. You got to grow a pair and get off the strip to go to Kviar. It is NOT on the strip. I rode by it on my way to Puerto Plata, but I did not return during the night when it was open.

Rumba's kitchen is being totally renovated and will reopen "soon" as a restaurant with Rick back in charge.

    That's Rick

He cooked an Indian dish for me one time. His initiative made Rumba the attractive sport bar it became. Fascinating to talk to.

    Victorian House update?

Was looking to plan a quick trip to Sousa but come to find out my last hotel has been taken over by Asian hackers? Look at the website. Trippy stuff. Saw they were sill taking reservations by Expedia, can any one verify?

Yep that's Rick and that's Rueben standing next to him. Rick is also the brother of Rafael whose lovely wife Alexandra owns Mauri Mauri. They are big time in Sosua and own several properties throughout. Always friendly with great food and ambiance.
