Like you said, she is Venezuelan, not Dominican. Venezuelans have not invaded the island. They have only invaded Santo Domingo and Punta Cana. I think I have only ever seen mention of 1 Venezuelan being mentioned in this section and that was like a couple of years ago. The same type hotel that would cost me $45 in Sosua, costs me $25 in Santo Domingo. Taxi is cheaper in Santo Domingo than in Sosua. Maybe things are cheaper in the capital because there is a larger supply?

Why let that stop you it should be said that getting a test to get back to America has been made even easier as they will now come to your hotel to administer the test. Maybe you are worried about the possibility of coming up positive in that case ok it's unlikely but if you can't afford to miss time then that's fair.

There a few places to get a rapid tes, t one I can think of, Labitorio clinico same day testing, in at 9 am results by 3 pm In the plaza past bailies 2000 pesos.

No, you don't. The shots dramatically reduce transmissions, infections and severe cases, but don't eliminate them. It's been clearly communicated by the CDC, state health departments and the media.

On a personal level, vaccination surely didn't hurt me since I didn't catch the disease while being in close proximity to a few sick relatives for days before and after they showed symptoms. Just get your shots or it'll never be over.

3 weeks after your second shot you have probably 90% protection. There's still the 10%. And. There is a possibility (probably not a high probability) that people that are immune to Covid can still carry it in their nasal passages because the antibodies can't get at it there. Who knows. But, the big reason is that you basically have to have everyone wear masks or no one. Otherwise you can't enforce or do anything with public rules. Stores are not going to have the ability to determine if your claim to have been vaccinated and when is sufficient to let you in without a mask.

So. For the meantime, suck it up. Wear a mask. It really doesn't hurt. And it helps your fellow man. And when enough get vaccinated that this thing dies down everyone can take them off.

Long time Sosua Vet, FYI seems like TMBTS is down for a few days.

Any ways, kudos sirs lot of good info on this forum, will keep members posted on future trips, I average 4 trips a year 7 -15 days per visit.

I went to foxy's yesterday and got quoted the following:

350 for ladies drink.

1000 for erotic dance.

5500 pesos for sex.

There is no way I am paying 5500. There has to be a list of known decently priced brothels: does anyone know any or where to find? Thanks!

I am sure pretty soon CDC will exempt vaccinated people from testing requirements.

I think that's highly unlikely. The Vaccination is to protect your body from the virus. It doesn't prevent you from getting the virus or transmitting it. That's the purpose requiring everyone to take a test to re-entry the US.

I saw quite a few Venezuelan girls at Ahnvee last time I was there before Covid. I heard they charge 10000 pesos for LT.

Girls are hotter in sd for sure yet costs remain consistent and even lower with all the Colombianas and Venezolonas that invaded the island.

Yes, although I have been vaccinated on the offhand chance of testing positive, false positive or mistake by the lab I am afraid of being quarantined. I am sure pretty soon CDC will exempt vaccinated people from testing requirements.
