For your info. Rumbas has been closed a long time and does have a for sale sign in front. There are basically 3 places to go. The disco we all know, the bar below the Disco, and City Lights. City Lights is a Haitian bar. Premium bar (old El Flow) or hanging out the window of one of the German bars are the other options I guess. Rancho looked like it isnt opening. The DISCO down the street is in a terrible spot but has an awesome building but had a Dominican man singing karaoke.....yea no thanks...dont know that the vibe is going to be.

Not much on the beach at the day working worth a second look. The sidewalk is trashed for a long stretch. I go down every 2 or 3 months. Going back in Nov and I bet the sidewalk is still trashed.

Sosua is still there but a lot of diamonds you could find on side bars are gone because the side bars are gone. It is low season and Sosua is alive but on life support. Bars close at 1 AM most nights except Thu, Fri, Sat.

PicFlor is an option but hit or miss. Most guys don't want to miss for 100-150. Last note , it is run a pure, hardcore business!

    It's a joke.

We have these "next level" mongers, who are so good, that they don't even need to pay for DR pussy, but don't even know whether the second biggest club in Sosua is open or closed.

This has been going on for a year, or more, and aside from it being humorous, it is complete bullshit from the usual suspects!

Their "intel" and "info" is as phony as their posts.

One addictive poster, who claims he doesn't have to pay for DR hookers, brags that he's not a Blackbeards type of customer, but then he tells us about "the first time" he went to Blackbeards. LOL.

How many times in Blackbeard's, and did you show them your "special" card that get's you free pussy there too?

This poster always blames somebody else for him being in Sosua, which he calls a "dead" "shit sandwich", where he "would never go by choice"! But he's always there, he knows all the monger prices!

Must be dragged kicking and screaming into Sosua, and Blackbeards.

Sometime you have to call this bullshit stuff out for what it is!

Rancho Tipico remains closed, as well as several small bars where chicas could once be found. Available chicas can now congregate in Merengue bar starting around 10 pm, a few can be found at Bourbon Street, and Haitianas gather at City Lights every night.

The ability of chicas to stroll up and down the Pedro Clisante strip has been hampered by the mayor's latest project, shown in the attached photos. After requiring all the open air bars to put up glass walls and become ovens, the new scheme apparently is to attack the street scene directly. If there are streetwalkers, let's tear up the sidewalks. The sidewalk has been destroyed from the corner of Dr. Rosen all the way past Merengue bar, ruining the business of many nice little restaurants in the process. This condition persisted the entire week I was there and there was no sign of any effort to repave or otherwise repair the sidewalk. Sosuanews.com claims that the project is nearing completion, whatever that means.

This being off-season, there were few chicas to be found on the beach in the day time. Apart from chicas we knew from prior trips, it was a challenge to find good talent at reasonable prices, with many asking 3,000 DOP or more, although some can be found for 1500 to 2000. We were at Picaflor restaurant outside of Sosua several times, where there were 15 to 40 girls. The price at this place remains $100 for 4 hours, $150 for all night. Service from Picaflor chicas was not consistent; several claim that CBJ only is their official policy, although others provided good service.

A cab from the bus station to STI might take another 30 min if my memory serves me.

For a 3 PM flight, I wouldn't bother leaving the night before.

    Thanks for any feedback.

Yeah, and they want 2 million bucks for the property, good luck to Bobby getting anywhere near that for it.

If the bus is direct (no stops in Puerto Plata) I would look to leave by 9 am to get to STI comfortably before 1 pm.

If you want to be at STI by 1 PM, it might be sensible to get out of Sosua by 9 AM. 10 AM might also be OK, depending on whether it is a weekend or regular day as SantIago gets jammed up by mid day. In any case, there is no need to get out the night before as buses are punctual. By the way, you may also try Metro bus which is in Sosua itself, compared to Caribe but Caribe has more frequency of service while Metro may require you to get out by 8 AM.
