Yesterday we got busted.

A militia truck drove slowly by and looked at me and the GF, and a couple more regulars sitting at the bar. We knew they would be back so we ditched the beer.

They came in, 5 of them in masks, one bearing a shotgun. Checked us all out, I told them I was waiting for my take out! (a lie). They ordered us out, put on masks, and ordered the owner to remove all bar seats.

Just another day in paradise! LOL.

Nobody knows how long things will be like this. I was in Sosua (except for the holidays) for eight months, up until last week and got the hell out, if you have a car and drive around during the day there are a few chicas around, they have to eat too. All bars are closed with no exceptions and only a few restaurants serving takeout. Absolutely eerie how dead it is. As much as the curfew sucked it was the right thing to do, it is not in place to help control the virus it is in place to help control the desperate thugs, you could feel the tension in the air.

Can you drive after 5 PM or will the police pull you over and tell you to go home?

As my traveling days and mongering are basically over I can't help to think many of the girls I bagged in Sosua and the hard times many are going thru now. Met some cool fellas too like Mr Gogo and his crew. If a girl managed to grab a guy before the pandemic she would be wise to hold firm to him and treat him like a king. Hopefully this thing will ride it's course but it will definitely leave a black eye to the hobby.

Yeah bro, wondered what happened to you? Glad you are good. I remember me, you and Tony would hangout in the barios of Puerto Plata (2009) and all the neighborhood girls would come out. I also remember the working girl in Santo Domingo who took a 30 minute shit in your penthouse and had the whole place stinking LOL. How about the police officer on the motorcycle incident, glad Dominican Jose was there to get us out of that. Peace.

I don't think it will be opening anytime soon and, plus that I don't see any inclination among travelers to be getting on an airplane to go anywhere.

As Manzinales says, nobody knows how long it will last. Like everybody else they are watching the numbers. Estimates currently range from 2 weeks to a month.

Everybody is wearing masks. It's weird to see the few chicas on the street looking for business wearing a mask. Not an inviting sight!

After 5 pm the streets are deserted, no motoconchos, nada, but there is music and loud party sounds coming from some apartments, and around the pools of small hotels closed to the public, serving guests only, long after the staff have gone home.

If you know your way around, you can still get a drink behind the doors and curtains of some bars that serve take out food, and you can still get a haircut.

Yesterday, I was in a local bar, and was sitting at the bar with a beer, overlooking the street, listening to music, chatting with a bar chica amiga, waiting for my take out, and it was like old times in there, but you need to keep the beer bottle out of sight of the patrolling cops.

Folks are cheating, and the government can only do so much, before cabin fever and human nature takes over.

But the supermecado shelves are well stocked, my regular comes in from PP once a week for a couple days and we are eating a lot of home cooking! For me it's still the best place to ride out the storm, and I'm usually in bed early, anyway.

Check with your local airlines on flights out. That's your best bet. There are flights scheduled out after the 5th. Good luck!

I can believe the tension is really thick. This may have nothing to do with the lockdown but there was a major crime (homicide) reported at Residencial Hispaniola recently. No info if this was just someone desperate and looking for money or something personal but I would guess the lockdown is really to control crime. I stayed at Residencial Hispaniola and never thought this would happen there.

I'm 21 years old new to the forums and when this whole you know what blows over I wanted to go to Sosua for the first time. I'm tired of the matrix and want to experience something new. Last year the going rates were 1500 p during the day and happy hour. 2000 at night for short time. 3000 p for all night. Used to be 2000 p for all night five years ago. The only good thing is the value of the peso has gone from around 46 (2015) to 53 and the girls still charge the same for short time in peso. So we are saving 15%.

So it went from cheap in 2008 to expensive today. 51 to the dollar. 3000-4000 p barfine plus tip. Plus 300-350 p lady drinks in bar. Hopefully she will stay all night. For sure the sue is rougher than it was back in 2012-15 or so. Back then good, unrushed service was the norm. Now it isn't like that overall. Price and service switching were becoming more the norm before Corona. I expect it will be worse after because many will be desperate.

What Marc Anthony is saying is possible. But its difficult. It takes time, language skills and a certain knowledge of the lay of the land so you can spot chicas who don't have the pack mentality, the I do what everyone else does attitude.

Small gifts, taking them out for meals, being interested in them, showing respect will improve your sexual experiences more than paying a lot more. If you find a Chica who appeals to you and treat her well likely she will work at finding out what most pleases you and doing her best to provide it.
