Selling pussy in Sosua is not an easy job. The competition is fierce. So the girls dress and act in ways to attract us old farts. On the 10 or more trips I have made have I not seen more attractive women then I could handle. I have always lamented that I had to turn down so many attractive girls. Girls I would have killed for back hoe I am telling may be later. I have been in Classicos and almost ODed on so many 8's and above. High and low season. I will be there next week and will have a ball.

Tuesday is a bad day. Generally Thursday to Sunday is the busiest. Monday is not bad either. Chicas know mongers come between Thursday and Monday. Unlike other destinations in the world Sosua is a weekend destination for many from east coast of USA.

Unless you have a regular novio or enjoying all inclusive resort nobody stay whole week.

All the pretty girls come only on weekends. They will not make good money other times. Slow season or not weekends are busy all year around in my experience. Only problem is summertime is too hot. Air conditioning in Sosua hotels as well as clubs are not very efficient.

I am not sure what the issue is here. I always stop through Sosua on my way to puerta plata. Sometimes I even stay overnight. I like hanging out there sometimes, but does not mean I have to sample the merchandise if I do not like the quality and I am not stuck there hoping I find the diamond in the rough. I never put myself in that position after travelling all that way, but that is just me. Who cares what I do and think. That happens a lot with me I go to sosua all the time I do not like what I see have fun and keep it moving. The Dominican Republic has beautiful women all over, but you have to move around to see them. I know many people are afraid to drive, but not afraid to be with a women whose job is to sleep with random men everyday. Some people might think that is more risky than driving and meeting a quality girl. Again, to each his own choice. If people do not like what they see why can't they not say what they feel I am never offended what people think and glad they say what they feel. Let men be men do what they want and say what they think. Some.people.might say your crazy beautiful women in sosua then you see his girlfriends and say i understand why is is not happy you do not know a man's taste might be better than yours.

The bottom line is, just like life, YMMV.

There are negative reviews on everything, cars, hotels, resaurants, marriage. In spite of these negative reviews the popular places persist and thrive, cars are sold, and folks still spend a fortune trying to find a life mate.

Please don't fall for the illusion that a half a dozen jaded losers who write and biatch and complain here regularly, are the ultimate judge and jury on Sosua.

The DR welcomed 4.7 million tourists last year. While they are all not sexual tourists I can tell you from my experience that most who are, don't post reports on a public mongering board.

Most of us look forward to a guaranteed good time down there (9 years and counting -I can't wait!) and enjoy their vacation like PReeman69 above, and others will waste their money, by not getting what they want!

Hey, I've been coming here a number of years and arrived this week after the July 4th holiday so I thought I would add my two cents.

Something weird may be going on regarding the cops but it hasn't affected anything I've noticed. Tuesday night the upstairs Classicos disco didn't have anyone in it--Tuesday, after all--but Wednesday it was full. I left at 2:00 and the streets were quiet but Classicos was going strong. Thursday night in Rumbas around 11:30 a couple dozen girls panicked and ran out the back way, for no reason I could see. The chick I was with stayed close, but nothing happened, and when we left shortly after I saw nothing unusual on the street. I was gone by midnight so I don't know if placed closed then. Different girls told me various rumors, which I won't repeat as I consider them totally unreliable.

I've been having success collecting phone numbers and whatsapps and calling the girls over for afternoon sessions. I had no luck on FB, perhaps because I was trying to convert fresh 18 year-olds to the trade: plenty of, "Hi nice to meet you. Sorry I have a boyfriend / no way."

With one exception, all readily accepted 1500 pesos for an hour or two, and almost all accepted "por la boca sin condom" (I always ask ahead of time). There has been a little bait and switch but no real bullshit. No one asked to be paid upfront, for example.

Some girls are more aggressive than I remember, touchy and grabby, which makes me make sure my money is secure, although I don't really think they are trying to get in my pockets. I'm like a particular type, so I look until I find one. There are a lot of girls of all shapes and sizes, probably twice as many as guys, and it feels like five times as many. I've notice if I leer at a chick across the room, pretty quickly she notices and before long she's swinging her hips next to me. I love this place. There are probably a hundred+ girls dressed up acting sexy, and I can have any one of them for forty bucks. Nice vacation.

In general when reporting my focus is and will be in the future more on information that can help other members than the grammar that is being used.

Obviously I was not criticizing your grammar, which was impeccable.

I was commenting on your implication that the cops had dug out some dusty and little-known old "rule". Odd for ex-LE to call a law a "rule". This has been the law for at least five years and all bars and clubs are aware of it, and all experienced mongers too. My suggested wording more accurately describes the situation.

On July 7th Policia Nacional started enforcing an old rule in Sosua. Businesses that sell alcohol will closed at midnight Monday. Thursday and 2 am on the weekends. It was reported Rumbas closed at midnight and Classicos was dead also. CESTUR was taking chicas who were walking solo in custody, they had to pay from 1500 - 2000 pesos to get released. At 1 am there was almost no traffic on Pedro Clisante.

I will be on the ground soon and will let you guys know how it is working. I am not a late night action guy so shutting down early may help me. Often the best girls come out at 12 when I am shutting down. This could get them out earlier which is a plus for me. I have had to make some tough choices. I agree with you. It is an open forum and all are free to air their thoughts. It is when a visitor (unlike Mr. E who is rather balanced) opines based on a short stay, that the problem arises. Bad days, months, seasons are all part of the game but anyone new reading the circumscribed view of a short stay may misconstrue it as the whole and complete picture, which as you experienced, is not correct.
