I want girls but I want other stuff to do during the daytime, I've read Sosua is not the place to be for daytime 'touristy' things, I am looking for variety.
I guess I could have gotten a hotel in Sosua then travel to Cabarete in the daytime, but I don't like being in the center of the action, safety in Sosua is a small concern, especially the hustlers in the street.
Sosua is mostly safe, but with an ounce of common sense.
Still haven't found an answer to best way to get to Sosua from Cabarete and cost. Google tells me 10 minutes with no traffic, so I will probably take a private taxi

Perhaps she just does not like you and your Petionville posse?
I concur, Bailey's Cafeteria is a better selection, and pleasant atmosphere, they have nice food.

Posts: 554Tipico Alberto has a good pork chop, as does Baileys.
You can get a good cheap plato de dia at Susanas, not sure where she is located these days, as her location has changed, very fresh, basic Dominican lunch.
There is a great local place on the left just past Super Super that has very fresh food for lunch, chicken, rice, beans, pasta, salad, etc, for like $RD150.

Good morning,
Where can I find good authentic Dominican food in or close to Sosua?
During the day I have gone to the Mofongo King on the beach for lunch.
And it was pretty good. Any suggestions for any other spots on the beach.
And somewhere to go for dinner and or a late snack would be appreciated.
Still trying to find a place that can make a good fried pork chop, had a chica.
Cook for me a couple of years ago in Cabarete and they were awesome, there.
Has to be a good authentic restaurant somewhere in the area, I hope.
Thanks in advance.

Looking forward to hitting Sosua, in Feb 6-12th, staying at New Gardens Hotel I can't wait to see, the new changes to Sosua Dlatins looks like the "hot spot" I'm hearing good things about that place, but I'm not hearing to much new intelligence on Classicos, I've been Rtff but, I've found very a mention, but nothing in-depth. We will post pictures of our high lights of our upcoming adventure. I want to thank, the mongers here just a few pas of reading, I pretty much have a great idea of How things are going? There's a free apps you can download free text messages unlimited, I've used this new service and its amazing you can text people from all over the world. I guess 2, 0009 pesos st, and 4, 000tln wow things has inflated. So if any monger is near New Gardens Hotel, please say hello just look for the black guy in the. Posts: 27Hello Gents
Staying in Cabarete next week but definitely will be spending time in Sosua, I prefer variety from chicas to touristy things to do.
Great info on the board and hoping someone can give some advice.
1. Cost time and best way to get to Sosua from Cabarete? I have a hotel that allows chicas as long as they have an I'd.
2. If I did not want to bring a girl back to my hotel, can someone recommend available, somewhat decent rooms for the night in Sosua? I see lots on New garden, casa cayena etc but is there anything lower cost for the night? As I already have the hotel in Cabaret booked.
3. Anyone know if chicas can be had in Cabarete itself? More activity in this forum than the Cabarete one so thought I'd ask the question here.
Thanks!

However today my mami cooked a wonderful lunch of fresh goat meat (very tender) with peas and rice, broccoli, carrots, green beans and a brown gravy that was NOT Sazon season all. I just added a little relish made from berries and it was as good as any meal I have had in the DR.
There are lots of excellent fresh fruits, vegetables and tubers if you just know how to prepare them properly. But don't look for things like quality cheeses or imported foods which are usually rather expensive.
