I believe in having some emotional connection with girls even if they are ST. Yes, for them it is just another guy paying. But over the years I have met some who stayed with me number of days and we went everywhere and enjoyed. Many of them are very happy to be living well albeit for a few days. I have driven alone all hours of the night in DR and never had a problem. Once I had a flat tire and couple of locals changed the tire and refused to accept money. Nowadays all major roads have regular police vans cruising with their lights on. They are there to help any motorist and I have not seen any roadblock checking. I really like mountain road going from Sosua to Santiago. Once there was a tree limb blocking. Some guys moved it so that I can pass. Driving that road I have met few girls who are waiting for the bus. I have given them rides and successful in bedding few.

I trust and respect my own particular circle of chicas, and I get it back in spades! But I have known them for quite a while now. They've earned it.

Like you, I have many stories of the good will of Dominicans over the last 10 years, which is why I prefer them over the average Canadian in my home town, and choose to live among them. Nobody is perfect, but as my fellow Canadian buddy always says, "never have I seen people with so little, give so much"!

So should I wait until I arrive to get a room? I was gone book one online but is it smarter to wait till you get there. Also should I not being cash? How safe is it to use ATM's there. I was going to bring cash then exchange it once I got there but should I just wait and use an ATM there? Also how is the phone service over there will I be able to use my cell phone with no issues.

It's slow season here, so If you have been here before, and are arriving during the day, I would wait until you get here, have a cool drink, park your bag there, and check out the 4 main recommended chica friendly hotels in town, mentioned below.

If you have never been here before, or arriving at night, I would book a room for the first night, get a good night's sleep and take a short walk around town after breakfast to get your bearings, and see where you'd like to be for the rest of your trip.

As to ATMs, I love them. I don't like carrying cash around with me, so I would bring a few dollar bills, and get the rest from ATMs (there's one at the airport) I'm Canadian so, ATM's give me the best rate for pesos, even with the service charge. It also provides an online record of my daily spending.

Other guys don't use ATMs and prefer to change their USA Dollars in town and can get a better rate!

You can use your smart phone here but the roaming charges can be a nightmare. Unless you have an unlocked phone that can take a local SIM card, like i do, guys borrow or buy a cheap local phone.

Others here may give you some pointers too!

Before you bring a girl to your hotel room, you have to chica proof it, I. E. Lock EVERYTHING inside your suitcase or room safe, including aftershave. The girls always have somebody in their family who need it.

I avoid flying or driving by night wherever possible. It's a drag.

Relax, stay over in San7tiago, and maybe even let your adventures begin there!

A viila is ok for a group, but most often requires transportation to and from, which adds complexity.

In Sosua, the most recommended chica friendly hotels are New Garden, Europa, or Alicia. Check out Don Antonio too, all close to the action. Things are slow here now so negotiating is advised, they may thrown in breakfast! You can walk to all 4 in 10 minutes or so and see who's hungry for your business.

As to other activities, besides fucking, there is the usual stuff to do in a small beach town, decent and varied food, and side trips to PP and Cabarete.

I am sufficiently cautious to carry my own wallet, money etc. That said, I have a chica that I WOULD / DO trust with large amounts of money, and have in the past.

In relation to that, she negotiates with local vendors of goods and services (non-sex related) to get me the non-gringo prices, which I appreciate.

In fact, I consider that a valuable service.

Presumably, that is the kind of negotiating mentioned previously. It takes a lot of nerve to have your "regular" negotiate with a hooker for you.

I just like the freedom of everything at my disposal, and not having to carry anything with me. No man bag, no passport, no phone, no bank card, no keys, no dinero, no change.

The issue I have is with one's lack of ability to negotiate prices on their own and instead putting a Dominicana in control of their money, hoe or not. But as long as you're happy it's all good I guess.

Mani, some males can't see the value in what you were addressed. Nobody is questioning ones relationship or level of trust of a particular Dominicana. The issue is, a man giving a local Dominicana the responsibility of holding his money, cell phone, transpo money, grocery money, bar bills, ATM card, keys, tipping and negotiations for everything etc, is an example of simpish behavior, IMO. Women hold each others purses. Men don't do that.

This is not the type of behavior conscientious and responsible men typically endorse or encourage. In fact just the opposite. A man who is accustomed to handling his own personal effects and responsibilities, is less likely to appear like he's lost or a prime target the moment they are alone and can't rely on some woman. Locals always are watching and paying attention to how one handles themselves. And when they notice that you don't speak for yourself, don't negotiate for yourself, don't hold your money etc, I imagine them looking at you as an extension of the female that represents you. Just another woman. The point is. Even though entrusting some female may seem cool and convenient. Some men see a bigger picture, where it's important to represent themselves, as men. I'm a newbie myself so here's my advice.

1500 is plenty. When I am there I spend an average of 100 dollars a day for food, fun, and fucking.

The easiest, but also most expensive way to get from sdq to Sosua is a private taxi right from the airport. I would not suggest you try and navigate the whole bus system on your first trip with so few days to enjoy.

I always stay at Europa and have no real complaints about it.
