While at Sosua playa yesterday 2 guys I know were sharing theft by chica stories with each other. The older guy had a ring stolen. He came back to his spot with the chica, made drinks, took off his watch and 2 rings then went to shower. When he came back, one of the rings was gone. He got security. According to him, they made this chica empty her pocketbook, searched her hair, pussy and ass for this ring. I assume they did a thorough search, but couldn't find the ring. He assumed she could have swallowed the ring. He never got the ring back even though some local dom who knows the chica said he would help him get it back. That turned out to be a waste of time, and hope.

After sharing his story and admitting it was stupid for not securing his stuff, he indicated a technique that a typical thief will do. He said he learned about it in Cuba. The thief will not exactly walk out with something, but may hide it where they can retrieve it or have someone else come and get it.

For instance, a chica can be in your spot. Have something of yours she intends to steal. Find a window or balcony or some way to toss the item from there. Then later they can go to that spot to pick it up. Or arrange for someone to come and scoop the item up. Meanwhile they stay with you in your spot acting natural, because technically they don't have anything of yours on their person. Thats what kinda happened to the guy at Tradewinds who was robbed at gunpoint. The chica went to the bathroom and tossed the guys keys so the thieves could let themselves in.

But in the case of a petty theft, you end up looking ridiculous or unsure of yourself because you'll never find the stolen item on them / the chica. At that point you might be doubting yourself trying to figure out if it could have been a previous chica, staff at the hotel or that you lost it? Of course certain items may be easier to track when it 1st goes missing. But others might go unnoticed for awhile before one can claim it was stolen. Once it's gone, you got a problem. Even if you are sure it was there 5 minutes ago. You can say it was stolen all you want. But without proof, you might be SOL.

The other dude. He bumped into an ex novia out somewhere. She tried to pickpocket him, but busted her. Turns out, he found out she has been involved with a crew of chicas who pickpocket for a living. And she obviously was trying out her craft on him, but he caught her red handed trying to extract shit from his pocket. For her he would be an easy target to try, because he might let his guard down with her. And also, she might be able to play it off that she was only fooling around. Which is exactly what she said to throw him off to what she was doing.

I was up in D'Latins last night, and I swear I was a little concerned about it happening to me. I didn't have much cash, but I had a phone. So I kept my hands in my pockets on my phone the whole time. It wasnt even crowded. And yet people were starting to swarm the place. I was getting bumped into left and right. Pinched and squeezed on the regular. I can see how easy it may be to get got. It's a thieves paradise. No doubt when out and about, you have to find a way to secure your stuff so nobody can get to it. Even guys with zippered pants can get got.

Most men wear loose fitting pants, instead of skin tight pants. That can make it easy for any good thief to get in there and out in a crowd or where ever. Even outside of the club one can potentially get got. When I was outside D'Latins way before it got crowded inside, I was approached by an unnecessarily friendly young dom dude asking me "Where I'm from?" I wasnt taking any chances of someone else coming up behind me, so I quickly moved on, with him continuing to ask me "Where I'm from?"

Said she would spend the night tomorrow night. LOL. The whole time I'm with this chick she is wreaking of cigarette smoke coming out of her lungs, she looks harder in the face now than the other night in Cabarete. Chick now claims she is 37 after I pointed out I didn't believe she was 30. For all I know, she could be in her 40's.

It didn't matter, I would only want to fuck her anyway.

Next night she comes over and this time I take her to Rockys. She orders the same meal she did from Baileys. I guess it's no escaping this chicas taste when somebody else is paying. Let her eat, we left. This chica was a deadfish in bed. We didn't even have sex. I wasnt interested. And kissing her was like kissing a room full of smokers. Moreover, after all of that makeup came off, she really did look rather hard in the face.

Next day, I just told her I can't deal with a woman who smokes. Chick responds by telling me she will quit, and that she really wants us to work. Of course, I know the real deal is, she sees her "meal" ticket slipping away before she got a chance to tap into it sufficiently. I never told her I wanted a relationship or was looking for one. She just assumed a dude would pursue her for one if she acted like that is what she was looking for.

My experience with her was chalked up to just having something different to do than hanging in Sosua.

I have been to both, but it's been a few years. My wingman and I are headed back in May to Sosua. I've read that Passions and CMP are closed; all the bars are now "glassed in'. Although I have purchased tickets to PP, I'm wondering if BC wouldn't be a better choice. It sounds like you have been to both BC and Sosua recently.

Yes I have been to both recently. Sosua is still good it's just not what it used to be, the closing of Passions and CMP the glassed in bars which really sucks in my opinion, the proportionality of hard core chicas and the rising trend of chicas pickpocketing you and trying to steal from your room is alarming. When I first started going to Sosua I would almost always meet a sweet little chica on my first or second day and end up having her stay with me in my hotel throughout the rest of my vacation. Now those connections never seem to be there with the chicas I meet and more and more I'm getting a rushed business like service from the chicas I'm meeting. Sosua is still good it sure as hell beats anywhere in the states it's just not as good as it used to be and things seem to be going in the wrong direction. Boca Chica may have had a troubled past and certainly is not paradise but is substantially better than what many would have you believe. Duarte and Pedro Clisante are very similar in many ways Piano bar and Rumba are similar in many ways and D'Latinos and El Batey are also similar in many ways. I was generally finding prices to be a little better in BC 1000p to 1500p compared to Sosua 1500p to 2000p and I was finding services to be generally more 'liberal' in BC. Both places have a lot of similarities However, Sosua seems to be sliding down the scale compared to what is used to be and BC seems to be improving from its poor reputation in the past. BC is overwhelmingly a destination for Italian tourist / mongers which to me is an advantage I like going to destinations that are VFA very few American and enjoy being the unusual or the unique. Sosua is awash with weekend warriors from America and often times I feel I'm just visiting the 51st state Sosua.

You bring up a very good question and one that I have been asking myself lately, do I want to return to Sosua or should I devote more of my time this year to BC. In 2013 I made 9 trips to Sosua this year I intend to devote far more time to Asia than Latin America but will still return to the DR. For me personally I will probably return to BC initially and my next few trips to the DR will be to BC but will eventually return to Sosua.

I was pick pocketed in D'Latin once. I had kept about 800 pesos on my shirt pocket and other money in a hidden inside pocket in my pants. I met 2 girls who I bought drinks. They both wanted to dance. During dancing and rubbing bodies one of them got the balance of the 800 minus what I paid for the drinks. I was little buzzed anyway. We danced for a long time and sat down. They wanted another drink and lo and behold my pocket was empty. There was no way for me to accuse them because I did not catch them red handed. When the waitress came over I reached into my pant inside pocket and got the money. Both girls must have thought about my plan.

Later both of them got very friendly and I took both of them to my room and pounded them nicely making sure all my valuables were locked safe.

There is absolutely no point in accusing anybody or calling the police. You do not know what connections these local girls have and you do not want a knife on your back or locked up on fake charges.

I never carry a wallet in foreign countries. I spread the amount of local currency in different pockets.

Having said that I smacked two Chinese guys who put their hand in my pocket in Shenzhen China. They both ran away. They did not get any money but I got their tongs which they use to put in my pocket and grab.

But I would not smack any girl anywhere. It is better to loose some money rather than get into trouble in a foreign country.

These stories of pickpocketing in D'Latinos are becoming all to common I know it was attempted on me and I caught the girl red handed with her hand in my pocket so she didn't get anything.

So my original question still stands is Sosua becoming the new Boca Chica and Boca Chica becoming the new Sosua?

I would not advise hitting a chica even if she is pickpocketing you in public. The chica union is very strong and you are the outsider the foreigner they will stick together and lie about what happened. Getting physical with a chica even when she is stealing from you is never a good idea. Turning them into the police and tipping the police to have her arrested is a good ideal but it won't work if you have already hit the girl. If you hit her even though she was stealing from you, you will be the one going to jail. It never pays to get physical with these chicas even when they are in the wrong. I know several mongers who had crazy chicas doing things to them stealing from them hitting them and they got physical with the chica and each one of them ended up in jail, never a good idea to put your hands on a chica in a violent way no matter how wrong she is.

And before I got pickpocketed I kept saying to myself if I catch a chica hand in my pocket I'm going to give her a right cross and drag her ass to the police outside. I know there a a lot of horror stories about dealing with chicas, but police will not hesitate to arrest a chica for pick pocketing. You also got to tip the cops and tell them how many days you want her ass in jail. I had to ko a crack head on calle Rosen across from terra kinda about 8 months back. She walked up and tried to rub on me and as soon as I pushed her away I caught her hand in my pockets. So I grabbed her and and twisted it as hard as I could then gave that 50 years old crackhead a right cross and layed her ass out. Walked to dlatin's and told this tout what happened. He told me to tell the cops and have her arrested but you got to give the cop "dinero parra gasolina." Never had a chica steal from my room because I always treat the girls nice but I also chica proof my room everytime before I leave. I would never get into an argument in my room or hotel with a chica, but if I catch one on the street trying to pick pocket me, I'm throwing fists. If it's a crowded place like dlatin's and I catch the girl trying to pickpocket me and I sock her, most likely she going to jail, not me. But in your hotel room with no witness is a different story.

What exactly is the point of this?

I remember one time that a chica blocked my way on the sidewalk, clung on to me, and seemed to be trying to grab my wallet. I hit her quite hard on the upper arm, so that it hurt my hand, but the purpose was to make her stop what she was doing immediately, not to injure her.

If you hit someone hard in the head or knock them down it is quite possible that you could cause permanent injury or even death if the sequence of events is unfavorable.

If you did this is the US, you would be legally liable for a criminal act and for damages. Possibly in the DR you might get away with it, but it seems plain foolish to test your luck. In any case the reaction is completely disproportionate.

It is better to only go out to chica bars only carrying the cash and valuables that you immediately need, thus practicing a harm reduction strategy from the outset, because the economic damage a pickpocket could do to you would be slight. By keeping the money in two or three different locations on your person and using pockets that are difficult to access, you can further reduce the risk of loss.

Went to Cabarete with 3 friends, one who was leaving the next day. While there 2 dominican women are walking by the Kahuna. I called them over, since they kept looking at us, looking at them. One average size (chica 1) and the other (chica 2) a little pudgy and short. My buddy P (the one leaving tomorrow) is into thick, full figured women, so he went straight for chica 2. I'm just the opposite. I like slimmer women with nice round asses. Don't need big titties, just need nipples and enough titty to fill ones mouth.

At some point we asked the women how old they were. Chica 1 says she was 30. The other claimed to be 28. You can look at chica 1 and see she was older than 30, but then I just assumed it must be in her genes.
