By the way: where is City Lights? Couldn't find it yet; maybe I overlooked any sign.

August on a Monday or Tuesday is not exactly prime time in Sosua.

If you can Hang in until the weekend you might be pleasantly surprised!

That's when the hotties come out to play!

    Better rest up!

Got her number, she is worth a second try.

There is really nothing wrong with hanging out at the pool, you can see women come in with other guys, then when they leave that guy in the morning, you know they were a good time, as opposed to the ones who are out the door that same night to find someone else, you can see them in daylight, you can pick them up for cheap and not have to go downtown. As for arguments with chicas, if you have a misunderstanding about price, just get them out the door of your room lock the door you will not have a problem, they will leave soon enough or if they make a commotion security will just toss them in the street, unless they are [CodeWord902] or you took photos without their permission or did something else weird, very unlikely you have any trouble from police. The other girls on the street and their boyfriends cousins etc aren't going to band together to protect one another either. There are often disputes between girls and customers, it is just as likely to be the girl's fault. The other girls want your money they don't care what happened, police aren't going to get involved every time some ignorant street girl disputes the money. It's great you had a good time, but no need to look down on these other guys so much LOL.

GuyB was 33 and ex-military with tattoos. This is the guy who I took out that I mentioned above. I told GuyA that I would protect GuyB and I am half his size. Seriously, no shit, I am safer than he would be because these 2 act like victims. GuyB asks me if I ever RE-negotiated the price while walking back to my place or at my place before anything had taken place. I told him he was a fucktard for even thinking of doing that to a girl in a poor country to save a few dollars. I told him if she gets pissed off and anyone gets involved like the police you will pay a steep price one way or the other. He replied saying it was her word against his. I just about shit bricks. GuyB from NY and ex-military who should not have left the playground in his own backyard.

She will get mad and tell all the girls what you did and they will all avoid you like the plague. Her BF, brothers, or friends will kick your ass. Maybe the police shake you down for $500 versus the $50 you could have paid. Worst case is all 3 things happen.

First timer visiting DR straight after my bad Nicaragua visit. Sadly, I got food poisoning near the end of my Nicaragua trip so my 30 day Sosua trip was cut short to 6 days.

The Santiago airport was small but had a relaxing feel to it with the outside rock waterfall with lots of canopy trees and benches to sit on for waiting arrivals They outside waiting area had 3 huge 5 blade fans with each blade about 10 feet / 3 meters long. I loved their politically correct labelling for the fan switch - "Big ass fan". The airport conversion rate was $1/40 versus $1/47 anywhere in Sosua. It was 1 am and the airport money changer office only had $60 worth of Peso. Amazing. FYI: The Sosua money changers will not exchange Pesos for USD when you leave the country (I tried 2 places).

    Hotel:

Sosua is very small for example no fast food franchises. But everything is close. I stayed at Condos Dominicano. It was the off season and I stayed in their mini room in the back for $15 a night. Terrific value with small TV, 2 chairs with small table, mini refrigerator, hot water, A / see, toaster, microwave, wifi, pool with cabanas. The street sign on a pole says Wolfgang Mozart so Google is wrong listing it on Proyecto St. It is one street behind and one block over behind Anton Reef. 3 minute walk to Pedro Clisante St. 5 minute walk to Dr. Rosen Street (where the girls begin). 11 minute walk straight down Pedro Clisante to the beach..
    Good report!

Sosua has all the ingredients. Tropical beaches, good restaurants and bars, lots of young women selling their wares for a few trinkets.

It's the same for everybody that gets off the plane, but It's what you make of it that is the difference.

Mongers are not all the same, so their experiences vary greatly, a constant rip off for el cheapo, to a Moguls harem, for a few pesos (and a little planning) more!

Like the blind men and the elephant, each has his own idea what Sosua really is!

    LoveItHere69 Report

Great report. Even though it was your first time in Sosua, your skills scoping out the place are evident. You found what in my opinion is the single best room deal in the whole town first time and it's pretty well hidden. That little back room by where they do laundry has AC, is clean and comfortable and has the same use of the great pool. It's a safe area away from the noise and other issues but a short walk away.

I found your comments about the guys you met spot on.

I think you'd enjoy getting out of Sosua and meeting less commercial chicas on future trips. The RD is pretty friendly about player culture. If you lived for a few months in Santiago you could perhaps unlike Cebu have very positive experiences with college girls you meet on the street.

    6 day newbie trip.

SPIRIT is a shit airline! I could fill pages about it but will leave it at that.

First timer visiting DR straight after my bad Nicaragua visit. Sadly, I got food poisoning near the end of my Nicaragua trip so my 30 day Sosua trip was cut short to 6 days.

11 minute walk straight down Pedro Clisante to the beach.

    Beach:

The beach is about 1 mile / 1.6 km long. The upper area has a path with bars and food on the far side with tables and seating on the ocean side. All is surrounded by trees so shaded at all times. The lower area is the beach itself with the boats and sunbathers. Some shade if you move close to the bar / food area away from the coastline. Saw a girl walking down the path and looked her over. Then broke eye contact and turned around to watch the waves. She came up behind me and said Hello,. I had to explain I was sick and could not take her. I felt bad like I was shutting her down but I really was sick. She was very friendly and walked on.

    Girls:

They sit or stand along Pedro Clisante St. And along Dr. Rosen. They are also drinking in the bars in groups. The girls never touched me or said anything to me as I passed by. As soon as you stop the girls may approach you. If you make eye contact they know you are searching and will come up and say Hello,. It is very different then in bars offering barfines you find in other countries. It is a very easy natural way to meet your date for the night. Highly recommended for a first timer to build confidence compared to bars with barfines trying to make money from drinks rather than what we really came for. The girls I saw and briefly met were not aggressive because I was not. I think they match whatever vibe you give off. I liked that they were trying to get me to take them home rather then trying to get me to buy drinks to get a commission from. Basically, only one way to make money and that is to get me to take them home and.

It was the slow season and I was not out much at all to take inventory of what was available. My guesstimate is there were about 150 total girls available during the 6 days I was there. Just not all there at the same time. They come different hours of the day, different days, rented for 3 days and return, get sick. No real pattern so if you see something you like say "HI" and get her number. High season I expect 300 girls.

There are DR girls and Haitian girls. I am not sure they really get along so if a cat fight or anything breaks out get far away. If your DR girl gets jealous of your Haitian girl then your DR girl may get you blackballed from other DR girls (temporarily). Money will of course win out but it is a small street and all problems should be avoided because within 2 weeks everybody knows everybody.

My condo neighbor and I went out for a drink and a girl approached him so he bought her a drink. She in turn called her friend for me. We went straight home. I was still weak from not eating much and went straight to missionary (no BJ even though she offered). Finished quickly because I feared I would not finish at all so I was happy. I asked her price at the bar and said yes with no bartering and paid her said price. She asked 3 times for tip but I said no. I was fast and easy so no tip. She had wanted a ride to our place rather than walk 5 minutes. She was high maintenance and I wanted to bring her down to earth a bit. She was out the door in a flash. Not smart on her part because I was nearby, gave her the price she asked, and quickly did the deed. She could have called me on a slow night and I might have taken her again but she shot herself in the foot. Same thing happened to the guy I was with that took her friend. No tip and out the door in a flash. I forgot the amount. But it was what she asked for and with in the prices I read about so not too low or too high.

This is not a place to do large numbers like Thailand. It would be great for 2 weeks and then get really boring for me personally. I wish I could have spent more time to gauge the amount of English spoken and the attitude level. My guess is 80% speak enough English and most girl's attitudes were very acceptable meaning not too business like and rushing to leave. I am not big into black girls but saw two 8's and one 9. No 10's but I was only "window shopping" for 7 total hours and not ready to buy so I was not paying real close attention like I normally do. Not sure if I will visit again since I love Asian girls so much more. Highly recommend Sosua for newbies.

Example of why I avoid foreigners:

Ran into two guys from New York who came to Sosua together.

GuyA was 27 and would not go out at night to keep safe. He actually sat and drank at his condo room and around the pool for the 6 days I was there with the local security guard (maintenance guy). So why the fuck even go. That is when the girls come out to play.

Another quick story. Too damn funny so have to tell it. This guy should have been kicked off the site for his stupid blatant lie. I am in the Philippines and a guy on a site like this says he picks up college girls in the downtown area of Cebu. I call bulshit on this because I had an apartment there for 9 months and was always walking the streets past 7 colleges. The guy posts a few pictures of his college girl friend. Soon after another guy posts links to 5 sites proving his make-believe GF is a Japanese porn star.

City Lights is a Haitian bar. Premium bar (old El Flow) or hanging out the window of one of the German bars are the other options I guess. Rancho looked like it isnt opening. The DISCO down the street in the terrible spot has an awesome building but had a Dominican man singing karaoke.....yea no thanks...dont know that the vibe is going to be.

Not much on the beach at the day working worth a second look. The sidewalk is trashed for a long stretch. I go down every 2 or 3 months. Going back in Nov and I bet the sidewalk is still trashed.

Sosua is still there but a lot of diamonds you could find on side bars are gone because the side bars are gone. It is low season and Sosua is alive but on life support. Bars close at 1 AM most nights except Thu, Fri, Sat.

PicFlor is an option but hit or miss. Most guys don't want to miss for 100-150.

    Wow!

A lot of information you got there Doker, by just keeping your eyes open!

No need for "sources on the street", and "intel", from the chickenman and his private videos to find out if the main spot is open or closed.

Just look over as you pass! .

    It's a joke.

We have these "next level" mongers, who are so good, that they don't even need to pay for DR pussy, but don't even know whether the second biggest club in Sosua is open or closed.

This has been going on for a year, or more, and aside from it being humorous, it is complete bullshit from the usual suspects!

Their "intel" and "info" is as phony as their posts.

One addictive poster, who claims he doesn't have to pay for DR hookers, brags that he's not a Blackbeards type of customer, but then he tells us about "the first time" he went to Blackbeards. LOL.

How many times in Blackbeard's, and did you show them your "special" card that get's you free pussy there too?

This poster always blames somebody else for him being in Sosua, which he calls a "dead" "shit sandwich", where he "would never go by choice"! But he's always there, he knows all the monger prices!

Must be dragged kicking and screaming into Sosua, and Blackbeards.

Sometime you have to call this bullshit stuff out for what it is!

Rancho Tipico remains closed, as well as several small bars where chicas could once be found. Available chicas can now congregate in Merengue bar starting around 10 pm, a few can be found at Bourbon Street, and Haitianas gather at City Lights every night.

The ability of chicas to stroll up and down the Pedro Clisante strip has been hampered by the mayor's latest project, shown in the attached photos. After requiring all the open air bars to put up glass walls and become ovens, the new scheme apparently is to attack the street scene directly. If there are streetwalkers, let's tear up the sidewalks. The sidewalk has been destroyed from the corner of Dr. Rosen all the way past Merengue bar, ruining the business of many nice little restaurants in the process. This condition persisted the entire week I was there and there was no sign of any effort to repave or otherwise repair the sidewalk. Sosuanews.com claims that the project is nearing completion, whatever that means.

This being off-season, there were few chicas to be found on the beach in the day time. Apart from chicas we knew from prior trips, it was a challenge to find good talent at reasonable prices, with many asking 3,000 DOP or more, although some can be found for 1500 to 2000. We were at Picaflor restaurant outside of Sosua several times, where there were 15 to 40 girls. The price at this place remains $100 for 4 hours, $150 for all night. Service from Picaflor chicas was not consistent; several claim that CBJ only is their official policy, although others provided good service.
