FWIW you won't find diving in Sosua that even comes close to Curacao. I went to Curacao once about 15 years ago and enjoyed it. Good diving destination with pussy action readily available. Loved being able to just walk from shore to dive instead of having to go out on a boat.

DR is overall definitely better for women, just don't expect world-class diving.

I appreciate the clarification. If Alegre was still open, I probably would of gone back. I really like Venezuelan girls and that was a quick hop over for them. I had a custom diving experience with a start up group. This couple was the only people on the island who spoke German, French, Dutch, English.

If you are not good at vetting girls cabanas a decent option. Most are way nicer then the hotels we have.

I am with OldKool on this one. Usually I pick up a tinder chica in some mercado area (puerto plata / sosua areas) and head out to a cabana for a few hours and then drop them back. If I really hit it off with someone and need AM services then I get them into the hotel room. You can rent the cabanas through the night as well and I have rented them with Jacuzzi and even room with piscina and it still worked out to be cheaper. Again a lot depends on one's budget. When I am there. I am definitely not counting dollars that much.

Just an Asian gringo looking to spend some decent vacation time in the Dominican Republic for the first time next weekend for 1 week. My Spanglish is okay but not strong enough to pick up a chica at the bar. I've already jumped on the Tinder app wagon and have several decent chicas talking with me.
