In Sosua there so many free lancers you are on easy street. However some guys preferr to have pimps and madames to set them up. There may be a security issue because you can get some wild freelancers if you are not careful. I have yet to see a huge difference in performance or quality in the casas. My challenge in Sosua is deciding which hot girl to pick.

You go grab a guy standing outside of Home Depot to work on your house. Something goes missing out of your house or later you figure out the work is not done properly. What can you do about it?

You go to a place that is licensed and bonded and has to answer to someone and select them to work on your house. If the shit ain't done right or something goes awry then you have recourse (or at least better chances than you would have with the fly by night freelancer.).

I wasn't promoting the practice, I live here and have no need for Pica Flor, Blue Ice or street putas. But these places serve a purpose for the weekend warrior that has plenty of money and little time. I have friends that are well heeled that roll into Sosua for 5 days or so and want to hit the ground running and go straight to both Pica Flor and Blue Ice. I on the other hand just text one of my Puerto Plata FB chicas and they meet me at a restaurant or I pick them up at the public taxi stand in Sosua. I do enjoy going to these places though, BB's and FOD too, always great places to buy a bottle, party and dance with the chicas etc.

You have obviously never heard of a bar called Passions. At weekends guys were in line to pay bar fines (called "salidas" in the DR). There were other places too. Not my style, but if guys' time was limited and they had fat wallets, it made sense. There is still Elvis' place just outside the center, where guys pay substantial bar fines, and if Passion were to reopen it would do a roaring trade again.

I recall in the old days that the bars around Europa Hotel would have a salida. The problem was, as Oakie says, is that there is so much freelance action that this model never worked in Sosua. Can't tell this to Peter, though, the owner of Passions because then he would get on the chica. Passions had a nice ambience but the chicas were overpriced. After midnight, the prices used to go down.

I don't pay anything from the bars. Just read my post. I was writing what other people are paying. I don't pay out 1000 p ($20) tips. It was a range to inform what guys pay.

LOL. Why would you write an entire report on what you ASSUME most guys are doing? Nobody that I know that lives in AC or goes there operates in the manner that you describe. And I doubt most guys are going to go half way around the world to only hunt chicks in a disco after midnight as you do yourself.

And if you can't tell a woman from a man then the simple thing to do would be to ask them. Maybe you just have bad luck. Most chicks that I meet on the internet in AC are trying to come over before you can type hello to them. And a lot of chicks won't even talk if you are not in the city because they don't want THEIR time wasted. And considering internet hookups, it's not like AC is just jumping with tons of other things to do during the daytime that you are going to miss out on something.

There are hundreds of available chicas literally around the corner from your hotel room, with new and fresh ones coming into town every day.

Same with the time consuming "dating" sites, where a lot of misunderstandings and disapointmemts are to be expected.

In Sosua what you see is what you get, up close and personal. You meet and talk to them in a public setting, and make up your own rules. No mamasans, pimps, hustlers, other middlemen.

Spend your money on girls, not bar owners, unless you need help!

I am in Manila right now. Matter of fact, just came in from LA Cafe. Only problem is that some of the amounts you mention are purely voluntary. It is not mandatory to buy any ladies a drink. Also in Angeles it is not mandatory to give any tips above the bar fine as it is in Manila (because the girl's payment is half of the bar fine), yet you are handing out $19 tips. And the bar fine is the same price whether long time or short time. It seems you are the one shorting yourself by spending $75 to $100 for short time when you could be spending only $52 for long time.

I get my chicks from High Society Disco as well as WeChat and Tinder for 1000 Philippine pesos to 1500 Philippine pesos ($19-$28) long time. It is your money but there really is not a reason to give them $30 for short time, especially since you spend way more time in the city than I do. This tells me that the Koreans are not the ones to blame..

Before you attack my post. I was trying to tell guys on this board that Angeles city is not cheap anymore. You are probably playing games on the internet in Sosua. Got better thing to do when I am there in Sosua. I will get my girls early for 1500 and later at night for 2000. Again short time. I'm heading to Sosua again next week for a little 5 day sprint. My normal routine is to spend the morning and early afternoon on the playa or walking around Pedro Clisante, Rosen, etc, looking for some immediate action or some new WhatsApp numbers. I already have plenty of girls in WhatsApp from previous trips that I want to repeat during that lull between lunch and 6 pm. In the late afternoon and into the evening, I hit up Bourbon Street, Clasicos, the new casino, and then end up in Copacabana on the late night, respectively, as each venue becomes the scene of action.

Anything else I should be doing?

One should consider the possibility, that it is them that may be training those visiting gringos on how to perceive them a certain way (poor, bored, need help, etc), The locals know how to ego stroke the hell out of a mugg ( expressing happiness in seeing you, and telling you how boring their life is ) all done in order to keep the gravy train rolling, and repeat business flowing. Their method of training us is done covertly and intuitively, which is subtle power. They use our own self serving ego beliefs / behaviors / kindness / insecurities to their advantage / convenience. Who is really training who? Perhaps both?

On our last trip as well as others a chica that my boy had a couple of times before followed us up and down the strip from bar to bar. She wasn't intrusive but sat in the shadows just watching us.

As I told my new and not so new to the DR amigos. Don't make the mistake of thinking you are the hunter. Bruh man, understand that you are the hunted and act accordingly. Either way still beats dealing with american women and their chit most days.
