Hey all,

I have not been to Sosua or DR I'm over 10 years and I am thinking of making a trip soon. I know about the beaches, hotels etc. Not much has changed in that department from what I can tell.

The last time I was there passions and a few other similar establishments were being closed down. Do any similar places exist or has the town cracked down on them?

I am guessing you will need to meet local chicks at bars, beaches etc.

Last time I was there heading to the main beach there were timeshare sharks on every corner. Is this still a problem?

I'd also like to know how the action is early to mid week compared to a weekend.

Delayed my departure from Puerto Plata to Sosúa so I could scrape up my arms and nearly rupture an eardrum doing the Saltos de Damajagua. Five zip lines and seven waterfalls to jump off of or slide down. Good fun.

My airport driver pick me up at 12 o'clock sharp, unusual, and enjoyed a cold beer as he was driving me to Sosúa. Completely unsure what you are referring to exactly. But if you are talking about the vehicle that I own (yeah I know you don't think anyone needs to own one). I know you were so looking forward to it. But when I am in The Sue, I park the Gran Jefe mobile and walk every where I need to go. Until the day before I leave when I fire it up and head to the Texaco for fill up.

Last trip to The Sue, the Texaco did not have any premium diesel fuel so I had to head down the road a bit to the Next station. It was not a problem as on the way back I had the chance to check out the Super Pola. Very nice store! Wide section of goods at fair prices. The produce section was exceptional. I pick up my midnight snack. Stocked up on road trip foods and was good.

The old "us versus them" mentality pervades Tourist Traps all over the The Dominican Republic. It is actually one of the things that I find most unpleasant about being in the Republica Dominicana. But everyone can get around that by educating themselves. And operating accordingly. It is buyer beware.

Oakie has inadvertently revealed some insight into the mentality of many of the individuals that live in the "puta pueblo" I refer to as The Sue. A Dominican will always allow another Dominican to rip you off.

In fact they will sit there and watch the other Dominican do it to you knowing all the while that the other Dominican is in the wrong. But that is an entirely different discussion that applies to the anyone who is not Dominican but is trying to operate in the Dominican Republic. Not a complaint. Just keeping it one hundred. So, I don't care what they happen to call me when I demand that I receive the true market price. Not the gringo ripoff price.

The OG that took me under his wing used to refer to The Sue as So-sewer. He always used to get a laugh out me when he said that. Continue to enjoy my positive reports on the "puta pueblo" where you have chosen to live. I am glad you enjoy my work. Hope you have a safe trip back!

And none of them were concerned with the fun others were having or the price they were paying for it. So, I guess it is just the company you keep when you say "most guys". So, maybe again, I missed something. Could be a reading comprehension problem on my part. But I don't think so.

Now there have been some problems. I have provided extensive help to ISG brothers, given them information and referrals only to have them come have a great trip. They tell me about their trip, do not even thank me, and then (what I consider an even greater sin) they do not even make a post about anything they did. LOL! And I had a problem with a OG once.

Actually, there has been much talk (most of it down) to new guys the entire time I have been part of this forum. My personal experience as a new guy here was mostly unpleasant in this forum. Because of that, I will not run a new guy down. No, I will help if they ask for help. Even to the point of answering questions that are repetitive and have been answered before. RTTF is disrespectful. I wince every time I read when someone has written it yet again. If I want someone to read something, I point them to it.

Who wants to wade through all the noise that gets posted up in here in order to find a gem of information once in a great while. Yes, the OGs have put in the work and earned their respect. But do they need to go around patting themselves on the back for all the knowledge they have developed? Where is the sense of camaraderie? I feel it with those in my inner circle. And I extend that to new people and those with questions until they give me a reason to do otherwise.

It's all about listening to the guys you want to roll like, and ignoring the others.

Which is probably why I have so many disagreements with the OGs up in here. Because I don't want to roll like any of you. I want to roll like me. And how I roll is the best way to roll (for me). Now, everyone can roll the way they choose. Yes, you all got some information I could use if you actually shared it. I certainly will use it to help me roll how I like.

I identify with the new guys. Much more than with those living in the Glory Days. I'm looking for information. New information. Yes, OG fuck stories are fun. Hey, I tell fuck stories. But with the intention of providing information to new people. I write for new people. Until a OG gets out of line with me and needs to be put in check. But I do my best to even avoid that these days. Life is short. And we all know critics don't count. I met a new guy while on second to last trip to The Sue. I wrote about him a previous post. It was his first trip. And I had not been there for almost a year. We would discuss what we each found as we were both discovering The Sue at the same time. We had discussions about the chicas we went with. How we both negotiated with them. Price points we were seeking. How to handle a chica that gives you problems in the room. And many many other points. I was not lecturing him. It was an active discussion. With him listening to my experiences and ideas and I was listening to his. He was from a world apart from me and gave a new perspective on how you could look at things.

One of the things he liked about The Sue was all the different facial looks, body types and skin colors of the chicas. He had mongered in other parts of the world and said that being in The Sue was a unique experience for him. I enjoyed listening to his unique perspective. He took information I gave him and he used it to hit his stride. He was able to find the Social / Sexual providers that gave him satisfaction at the price he was seeking. Not only that, we shared information on things to do in The Sue unrelated to the chicas. We wound up having a couple of breakfasts (at my favorite breakfast place) that he thought was a good value. I made a friend. And we are still in touch today. He travels more than I do. So, I look forward to hearing about his adventures in the future. For me that is what it is about gentlemen.
