I like New Years Eve in Bazil also more than Carnival. She is an Orisha goddess (Yemanja) brought to Brasil by West Africans. A Yoruba religion which is also practice in Cuba. If you ever go to Cuba I recommend anyone to experience the Spiritual tour and learn about the history in Cuba.

    Not the first white party

Guys have been doing white parties for a few years. Guys hook up with chicas and their buddies, It looks corney to me but I tend to
of be a lone wolf. At the end of the day the girls love it and that is really what counts. In truth any thing you can do to make the trip more fun is a positive.

I have noticed in Colombia that other than an occasional bar brawl, which is not common, by and far the culture is not aggressive which is really appreciated when your a gringo and like to visit the very far off the beaten path types of local bars and street chicas.

It has to do with the machismo attitude / culture in the DR and other latin countries not black culture. Women are killed like chicken there. You can read the newspaper and you will see how women are treated across the island. Better yet, talk with a women that will give you the honest truth. In Africa, which I also travelled to several times. [CodeWord123] is very high and goes unpunished. Some women don't even report it. The judicial system / police are not doing there job in protecting these women. Most of the police / judges are men. The problem is male centered / domineering attitude. Throw in the ignorance myths bestowed upon poor uneducated people by missionaries like the virgin cleansing. Then you would understand why AIDS and sexual abuse are high.

He's a big guy, and can take care of himself, but the culture here is different from back home, and there's no real right and wrong, only survival.

RIP. This Canadian expat lived in Villa La Mulata.

    Be careful out there.
It's literally a jungle out there in that part of town.

Visitors and ex pats in Sosua can take for granted the relative safety of Sosua, with it's endless patrols of Tourist, Federales, Nationales policing. ATM guards with sawed off shotguns.

But they are there for a reason.

It is very important for ex pats, and visitors alike, to keep a low profile and opt for security in their choice of residence. I can reduce my rental considerably by moving a few blocks away from town, but I enjoy a beer and walking home safely at night!

A low profile also prevents you from making local enemies. It's a very small town. You are watched and remembered. Stay away from altercations with, or between locals.

Another case of a robbery gone wrong. The robbers tied up the victims and this guy got loose and tried attacking the robbers with a machete he had in the house. The robbers shot him.

Dominican women can ask for anything, and do!

Personally, with my regular, I ignore all requests, and set my own limits by giving money, an occasional shopping trip to Playera or La Sirena, based on my own budget and services received, and good behaviour. LOL.

I limit my time with her to two or three days a week (at my age) on a regular basis, so she has to live her own life for most of the time independent from my support.

She, and a couple of her friends have grown comfortable with this arrangement, and I am under no obligation to pony up for rent, hospital costs or other expenses they incur from time to time.

But the little I give her on a regular basis, does make a difference in her life, and is appreciated. It was me who suggested out of the blue that she get running water up to the small third floor flat she shares with her kid, and occasional GF. For a hundred bucks she got it done in 2 weeks. There's also a small fridge in her place now from the money I gave her over the last 3 years. Now I can handle a few days at her place!

    So flame me! Lol

When it comes to chicas, you either train them, or they will train you! But it's your dough, so you should always get the last word. Took a little effort and a few heart to heart conversations, and a willingness to walk away, but paid off and we are both very happy with the set up! I personally wouldn't change a thing!

(We share an ongoing joke between us - "Tu jefe en PP, pero mi jefe en Sosua" Lol)

As for monger's gifting, no hard and fast rules apply to everyone, but if a guy wants a fantasy GFE weekend, nothing wrong with him acting like a boyfriend, with little thoughtful gifts! All part of the fantasy!

    As usual, IMHO and YMMV

    You would be surprised

First I only buy what is affordable to me. However the girls love perfume. Alway thrilled to recieve them. This trip my blow job girl asked for books by Michelle Obamas and Oprah Wimphres. Total cost from Amazon 25 buck for hard cover. Another of my ladies in waiting asked for hair. I have bought $50 and $60 dollar smart phones $60 used chrome books. Most girls appreciate the gifts and show their gratitude. In fact they can ask for a million bucks but you can say exactly what you will or will not do.

Generally you are starting on the right foot. I also try to have discussions on sexual matters prior to meeting. Que te gusta en la cama is a winner Most girls try hard not to be hard core putas because the secretly want you to be their Novio and do not know how nieve you may be. I enjoy getting full GFE and these girls are good to go. As long as you vet them with your good spanish you will have a ball.
