This place seems like a ghost town. It's the middle of the week, so maybe things will pick up on the weekend.

Interesting how we can have different tolerances. I stayed for 7 weeks from Jan to March. I didn't want to leave, but had to go back to work. This time, I bought a one way ticket for August. I can stay for months or a year if I choose, because I am officially done working. For once sleep deeply and get up when I feel like it. I look forward to daily massages. Spending time with friends I know who are coming down, or ex pat friends already there, or make new friends. Looking forward to gaining more knowledge and info about life in the DR. Spend time helping newbies who need it. Maybe plan a flight from the DR to another destination (like PR, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Rio etc). Enjoy good food / drink, good music. Visit my dentist there for cleanings. Find a acupuncturist in country. Only Two weeks? I would feel like I was cheating myself.

funny thing is that i am thinking of staying for two weeks next time rather than just a week. its important to have your day filled with other activities, such as trips, [CodeWord118], go to the gym for couple of hours, take up spanish etc;-unless you get yourself a temporary girlfriend. then you may have no free time. but as noted, first day can be quite disorienting, especially if you are tired.

that's anywhere you go for the first time. it takes time to get your bearings and develop your routine. you don't just drop inside of the party and be like "was up!" unless you have friends leading you by the dick. then their routine will become your routine. but in his situation he has to invent his own wheel first.

El Flow changed into Premium Disco Bar.

Bar El Flow, formerly known as Super Colmado El Flow has passed into new hands and they renamed the bar into 'Premium Disco Bar & Caf'.

Luckily the bar policy has changed little. Every Friday evening until midnight you can still buy a bucket of beer with 5 bottles of beer (on ice) for only 300 pesos. Every Sunday afternoon, from 1 PM it is Karaoke time which then continues until late in the evening. After midnight on weekends the nightclub in the back of the Bar Disco opens and everyone who likes to dance can enjoy themselves. So the name has changed from El Flow into Premium Disco Bar & Caf, but the atmosphere has fortunately remained unchanged.

I like sitting at the tables in front of the bar on the street having a wine cooler in the afternoons before dinner. I remember back in February sitting out with a buddy on a Thursday afternoon watching the Putas arriving into town and streaming in and out of Rumbas making the rounds, etc. Very different in the winter of course when everything is in full swing!

Welcome to Sosua, Haitians with saggy tits are prevalent however this is the first time I have heard of a Haitian giving a covered blow job. Next time just refuse the covered blow job. Also, most of the Haitains unless there lookers will go for 1,000 Pesos, things will get better for you as you learn the ropes, good luck!

For most first timers, it takes a couple of days to get organized and acclimatized, then you should be in a good zone.

Sitting here with Someone with firsthand knowledge (doesn't want to be named but works here) at Rumba. It's open and about 15-20 chicas at 6:22. He says don't believe the rumors. I haven't read all of our reports so not understanding all he's talking about. There is a dress code now though. Chicas have to be reasonably dressed but don't need an escort. Latins is closed, voluntarily he said. Good times are rolling.

Very slow in Rumba Wednesday afternoon I was sitting outside on the street watching the tourista police chase the chicas up and down Pedro Clisante, until around 11 pm. Chicas started going to Classicos and Merengue and around 1230 am there was a nice crowd and plenty of chicas to choose from. Save time and pesos go after 11 pm and have a great time.
