Was in Classico disco last night and didn't like it one bit compared to how it used to be a few years ago. Lousy ambience, music, lighting, layout. Plenty of girls, though. Rancho Tipico is a better place to relax, but you can always go down to Classico later to take out a chica, if you want.
Did a threesome with two Haitianas and although one was a bit drunk, they totally went to town on each other and multiple orgasms for all was the end product. Still replaying the action in my memory. Ah, Sosua.

Posts: 316Santiago women are very attractive especially the light skinned ones. However, I've come across beautiful women in the capital as well and when I think about some of the hottest Dominican women I've come across a majority are from Santo Domingo. Non-pros anyways.

I have been disappointed many times by women from Santo Domingo and I have found women who live in Sosua and its immediate environs to be worst of all. Like other mongers have said another advantage of Sosua is the ease of accessing everything there; its just a short walk from your pickup point to the comfort of your hotel room. You can also interact with fellow mongers in Sosua; personally, I am very guarded when conversing with Americans abroad but sometimes it helps ease the boredom. For me such interaction is zilch in Medellin.
I will continue to visit both venues but Sosua more than Medellin and hopefully Rio more than both from next year.

Rumbas & Premium Sports Bar.
Both Rumbas and the Premium Sports bar were re-opened apparently there were some tax discrepancies that have been resolved. Rumba was crowded as ever however Premium Sports Bar was dead.
Chez Mon Real Restaurant.
There was still a crowd at Chez Mon Real Restaurant on the corner of Dr. Rosen and Pedro Clisante. This is not only an evening hangout spot but it has become an after-hours spot also with people sitting outside eating at 4 am. Many people use the take out window also however the food was very slow due to the amount of traffic the restaurant had to deal with.
City Lights Night Club.
City Lights Night Club had a few chicas sitting at the chairs facing Pedro Clisante but for the most part it was dead.
Classicos, Merengue, Club X & Winners Circle.
As usual Classicos was the spot to be and the most crowded on Pedro Clisante. It was nice up until about 1:30 am after which it became too crowded and I had to leave. I don't feel safe when a venue with one exit doubles it's recommended capacity. However in all fairness there were quite a few 8's strutting their stuff inside.
Merengue, Club X and Winners Circle were all light crowds due to it being a Thursday night.
The usual crowd gathered outside of Classicos and subsequently dispersed after Classicos closed. Everyone went towards Chez Mon Real or After One.

My best-ever mongering experiences were in Brasil from 2000-2010 and guess what? My Portugues during those years was virtually non-existent.

The "tax" issue sound more like a flash money grab / shake down. Like they probably knew that the owners of both bars would pay out the ass to get their bars back open, else miss out on all the potential revenue that would result from the Memorial Day weekend crowd.

Posts: 316Excellent spanish, no. Better than basic spanish, yes. Most chicas in Colombia do not speak any english and some will not show any interest in you if you cannot even have a conversation in spanish either. With pros your money is most important, but don't expect amazing sessions by just throwing down some pesos and not being able to talk in their native language. If you can speak better than basic spanish, have some conversational skills, you'll not only have better pro experiences but likely have some luck with non-pros as well. Two years ago I'd rate myself as being able to speak basic spanish. If I had gone to Colombia even at the start of 2014, I would have struggled badly. After many trips to DR and taking some spanish lessons, my ability to converse in spanish improved and I even noticed myself having much better experiences in Sosua and also with DC chicas. I decided to visit Colombia for the first time last summer and I absolutely felt that my improvement in being able to converse in Spanish made a difference and am glad I decided not to go earlier.
GFE is YMMV. I would rate both DR and Colombia as being similar for GFE opportunities, I can't say one is better than the other. I'd like to go to Colombia all the time, but DR is only a 2 hour flight from me (FL), is easy to plan for a quick weekend vacation and I'm used to it.

I spoke to one of my girls on the ground she confirmed everything. Places were closed for taxes are now open. Sosua rolls on. I do not plan to go to Columbia. The cost and distance make Columbia problematic. I like what Sosua has to offer combine with my regulars I have no complaints.

Posts: 430So, in summary for a never-been like myself, Colombia is a no go unless your Spanish is excellent? I'd love to go but from reading elsewhere I'd have to stick to the Mansion to get any fun accomplished with very little Spanish speaking skills.
Side note: I think GFE in Sosua is VERY hit or miss. Is it the same way in Medellin?

I have heard that both places re-opened today and Sosua is business as usual. Are there any witnesses here who can vouch for that?
