There was this really cool guy who was managing at the time, he used to be at the New Garden where I stayed in my numerous visits back then. When he moved to the Alicia I started going there instead. I can't remember his name. I wonder whatever happened to him. I really feel no encouragement to visit Sosua any more.

This is 100% correct. If I am staying in Puerto Plata I usually hit Chalos first and if I come up empty handed I'll head to the casino at around 1 or 2 am and stay till the lights come on.

Pros: good weather, beautiful beach close by, good food options, developping worl prices, beautiful girls come from all over the DR.

Cons: action does not really start before 4 pm, cute girls are not really cheap, most ask $100,small village, you stumble on same people all the time; too many tourists that inflate prices.

Would I return? Maybe in summer when prices are slashed by half according to what I heard.

IMHO once the price of pussy goes up it never comes down. For various reasons the price goes up not entirely the fault of mongers. It all depends on the supply situation, financial status, job availability etc. Although the girls are making 10 times the money compared to cost of living these days nobody wants to open their legs for less. Getting girls for your expected rate depends on the game you have.
