I learned very quickly, that it's a really bad idea to provide either gratuity (tip) or gifts, UNLESS you only intend to see the woman 1 time, then never again. LOL nah this is not a scam, they just genuinely want perfume. I only do this for girls I know really well but when you do this they greatly appreciate it and by appreciate they show it in the session. These drivers are ripping you guys off laughing all the way. A cab from PP to Sosua cost 20 to 30 bucks at most. They have the port locked down so you guys think they are the only options. Your driver was keeping others from ripping you off because you were his pigeon. Locals pay 1 dollar to travel between PP to Sosua. Sosua is full of cab drivers to bring you back. Glad you had fun but no way should you have to pay $200 for transportation. Day time action at the time of day you were there is a challenge. Glad you were able to fine some.

They have the ports on lock down. It's the same fare for the whole van. I know some people pack 7 or 8 dudes in the van. That bring the cost of the trip way down. On Saturday, I arrived in Sosua at noon. I took a taxi from the airport, which is a rip off at $25 for a 10 minute ride, and I was too tired to walk out and grab a "gua gua. " After dropping off my bag and taking a shower, I headed to Super Pola to buy a local sim card and get some cash from Caribe Express. I discovered that the best way to avoid ATM fees and get the best exchange rate is to send money to myself in advance.

In terms of the local scene, I found that the food at Baileys, where I had lunch, was mediocre considering the price I paid. Unlike Thailand, there were no street vendors selling spinning toys and not many chicas approached me. However, I did notice a few chicas on the back of motorcycle taxis calling out to me, inviting me to join them like "vamos pappi chulo"..

Some observations in order:

You're pretty much not going to get around the $25 taxi from the airport. They have a pretty solid taxi mafia here.

The best way to get around the ATM fees is to get a Schwab visa check card. I'm sure it's been mentioned here before but they reimburse all ATM fees. It alleviates the need to carry cash because you can hit an ATM anywhere. Just keep enough cash for a back up in case the ATMs are empty.

I have found that Baileys is overpriced with bad service. There are a lot better places to eat, one of them being Mateo's on Pedro Clisante.

Most of the girls on the street or just ghetto ho's or ratchet Street rats, and pickpocket. At most I would give them 2500 pesos.

As you found out, the girls in the casino are nothing but the daytime street ho's, just dressed up and with make up and trying to charge $200.

One other thought, never negotiate or pay in dollars. Always use the local currency.

Few pointers, go for the weekend. This selection is 5 times better. No need for tinder total waste of time in Sosua. All in all you had a great time. When you meet a winner you like keep her number for a a repeat. The Casino on weekends is awesome. 200 plus girls dressed nice and ready to rumble. So I just got back from Sosua for the first time. And I had so many observations. Mind you I arrived Monday and left Friday morning, so I didn't get the weekend experience.

For one I am a late 30 year old black man from the Bronx. I am surrounded by beautiful Dominican women on a daily basis, so I figured I should travel to their homeland to get a real experience.

For one, I was surprised at how many middle aged white men were in Sosua. The impression that I got was that mostly black men travel there to get their rocks off. Boy was I wrong. I don't know what its like to be Lebron James and just go out and have women gawking at you, but being in Sosua gave me a small experience of what its like to be him. The men are hunted there and the women are the hunters.

So the first thing I did when I got there Monday afternoon was go to Baileeys for food. It was kinda dead when I got there. Then I went to get a haircut at Santana Barbershop. I had been following them on IG for years and was intrigued to say the least at the services they provide. The barber gave me a great haircut for $20 USD and of course they had the mamis in there shaking their asses. I'm sure I ended up in the background of one of their IG videos. Upon leaving I exchanged info with one of the women there. I later texted her and asked her what she charged for a one on one session. She quoted me 100 USD which is like 6000 DOP. At times I found myself more interested in the waitresses than the prostitutes. If I was to go back I would do some things differently. First off there is no need for Tinder. Secondly the moment I see a girl, I'm going to pounce. Because its not guaranteed I will see them again. There was this one mega booty chick I saw one time, I gave her my number, but she didn't hit me up. I definitely could have smashed that night. Also there was another girl who a dude at my airbnb must have called over and she was smoking hot. I saw her walking up to a room as I was leaving one night. What I should have done is just wait it out and get her number as she was leaving. She reminded me of Bernice Burgos.
