To those guys who go to the DR and think they will marry a young and beautiful Dominicana uncorrupted by western values think again. Have been in Sosua recently and almost every day in the street I see chicas who are just the picture of 20-year-old health and beauty, with long shiny hair, smooth skin, perfectly even white teeth, athletic bodies, and, like all the girls, a gorgeous smile. There is a shop across the street from Rockys. The price is very good less then 10 bucks and he does a good job. Plus you can get a good pedicure and manicure as well. Rio is a fantastic place, arguably the best in the World. But a week there will easily cost the typical monger 3 times as much as a week in Sosua.

On balance prices for chicas have been very stable in dollar terms at least since 2001 which is as far back as I know. Back then the standard was 500 pesos ST/ 1000 toda la noche. Exchange was 15 DOP to the dollar so about $33. Then as now if you got into the campo well away from tourist areas and spoke some spanish less than half that would do the trick. As always living there and the prospect of a repeat relationship always lowers prices. Also prices always sticky to round numbers in pesos. It was 1000 for a long time until it shifted to 1500 DOP.

The quality of service is not directly related to price. Generally chicas don't respect guys for being real easy with money. It's sorta a prey signal that switches on their predatory instincts. Being kind or generous with a chica who deserves it is not the same as being seen as foolish with money.
