I had a great first trip, going all over the island, into some remote areas, and into Sosua three times during my stay. I never had any problems, was welcomed into people's homes, and had many unique experiences in the countryside. In Sosua, whenever I wanted a girl, there was never a shortage, day or night. Although, you must know at least some Spanish. Thought I'd share a handful of pics from the trip. Out of respect, I won't post face shots, but enjoy these booty shots. Don't know why some guys are still paying 4-5 K pesos, maybe they're missing a chromosome. These beauties can all be had for 2 K pesos. As a side note, I was with three girls at separate times who had IDs with a birth date of 1997. I later found out by their friends they were younger. Two were still of age, one was not. Either it was a coincidence, or they are buying their false IDs from the same guy. If your girl's ID has a birth date of 1997, take caution. Enjoy the pics.

I have been living in Puerto Plata for the past 15 years. General consensus among both locals and visitors is that it is significantly cheaper than Sosua. My present apartment costs me US$150 per month (large salon / kitchen, two large bedrooms). Local contacts are best, otherwise cruise the streets looking for 'for rent' signs. If you go through agencies you will pay 50% more.

I already have an expat that lives in Puerto Plata. His connections are telling him that inventory is low and what few decent places that are available are overpriced! I rode around in Puerto Plata and saw very few for rent signs in the places I am looking at!

Thanks for the tip about the waterfall. It appears to be in the center of the country. Did it take you a long time to get there from Sosua?

Yeah, it's in a region of the country called the Cibao. We used the bus system and guaguas to get there. First to Santiago, then la Vega, and finally Jarabacoa. Doing it this way takes about half a day, or you could rent a car and do it in about two hours. Either way you'll want to spend the night in town and venture out in the morning. We stayed at Hotel Jaraba, low price, close to restaurants and grocery stores, and a short walk from the guaguas station.

I was in jarabacoa. Right now it's the low season, didn't see a single tourist. I climbed El Mogote. It's around 5000 feet at the summit. A steep climb near the top. If you go this time of year, you'll have the whole place to yourself. Make sure you bring a lot of water. I also highly recommend checking out Salto jumenoa, that's an incredibly impressive waterfall. These were all done as a series of day trips. Just ask a moto driver about hikes and waterfalls, and they'll hook you up. Great place to take a girl if you hit it off with one.

I already know apartment in Sosua are a rip off. However I was checking in Puerto Plata yesterday. There is low inventory and the are just as overpriced as SOSUA!

Iron what mountains did you go to? Was it a day trip?

The Dominicans are good, but get yourself a super dark skinned Haitian and they'll treat you like a king. At least that's been my experience so far.

Of course. The Haitians are refugees and are out to make all the money they can. They are playing it for survival. The Dominicans are on their home field, so they can just give bad service or rip you off and go home to their family. It is the same thing in Colombia with the Venezuelan refugees. Scams with the home team and great service from the hungry visitors.

Day or night plenty of girls to choose from. I've been going to the beach during the day and Pedro clisante around 8 pm. Three weeks in and still haven't paid more than 2000 pesos. Haven't been to any of the bars, there's a perfectly good selection outside. No need to collect numbers, just treat it like a supermarket of girls. Every evening I go out shopping. The Haitian girls are far superior to the Dominicans in appearance, booty, and attitude. They'll walk with you back to the hotel, while the lazy Dominicans want a moto ride. Plus they're better in the sack. I even took a four day trip up to the mountains and one Haitian girl wanted to go with me. I told her I'd pay for her meals and obviously she would stay with me in the hotel, but I told her I wasn't paying anything else. She said no problem. When I got back she never asked for anything. She says she loves to just stare at my green eyes, ha. The Dominicans are good, but get yourself a super dark skinned Haitian and they'll treat you like a king. How you redirect messages from Microsoft Teams chat to your mobile?

Do they use MS Outlook in your company? If so, can you redirect emails to your phone too?

Install the mobile teams and outlook on your phone, and log in with your company account. My company allows us to install those apps on our personal phones.

You are definitely a sosua die heart and that's cool.

I just think that people should understand that every place in the world is being affected by covid19. Anybody who just want to monger should do it because delaying trips is also what killing the prices. People just need to go somewhere DR, Brazil, Columbia, Thailand etc.

I am definitely considering Cartagena for one of my next trips. The only reason I went with sosua on my last trip is I got tired of looking for girl friendly airbnbs or hotels. Since the number of days I can monger every year are limited, I just go with convience and ease. Sosua was great since I didn't burn any of my time off.

I use Microsoft Teams on my laptop which works great at both sosua inn and case valeria. Even at Bailes at the bar the internet was good. I only need my laptop and good headphones. For videos I used a picture background. I didn't bring my laptop to the beach. At the beach I just used my phone to read emails and chats. But if you have an unexpected call and you are at the beach, you should be able to be back to your hotel in 5 to 10 min.

How you redirect messages from Microsoft Teams chat to your mobile?

That tends to happen when you guys pay those hoes 4000 pesos at a time. Were you expecting that much money was going to keep them humble?
