Got to Sosua via Santiago on Sunday. The plane landed at 11 and I was out of the terminal in 5 minutes. I had my COVID test report which no one asked for. They have beefed up their health report though, with a lot of probing questions, including your phone number, email and stay place.

Went to the bus station to take a bus to Sosua. Metro was closed. Went to Caribe. The guy told me that the last bus was at 1. 00 PM and it was full. Go figure! Took an Uber over the mountain road.

I think it goes the same way when you get more for your dollar. You pay the same in local currency. Girls don't care what you get for the dollar.

You'd be surprised, LOL. The USA Dollar is king here, and currency exchange is a big source of income for locals in tourist towns.

As an expat I'm constantly pleasantly surprised at the resourcefulness of the average DR chica. Street smart they are. (Sosua and BC hardcores that end up on the street, are the exception, not the rule).

My regular has no formal schooling to speak of, but when it comes to plain common sense, she could buy and sell the Prague Press Attache, the International Lawyer and the International Education PhD I had long term normal relationships with.
