Locals pay about 1 dollar to take a publico (shared taxi) to Sosua. There are also some UBER in PP. Will be less then 20 bucks. Plenty of cabs in Sosua or use the Publico service in front of Texeco station for 10 bucks for whole car or 50 pesos for single seat. Any girl you pick up can tell you where short term rooms are. There is also a short term motel (cabana) type called Dulce Secreto. 20 bucks for four hours. Depending on what day you arrive Baileys is an excellent pickup spot. Always decent ladies waiting for action. On weekends the beach see an be a good pickup spot. Baileys is probably the best spot for quick good action.

I leave in a week. Does anybody know how much the short-time hotel is? Can I roll in with USD or is it smarter to turn them in. Keep in mind I'm on a cruise. I plan to be in and out like a navy seal. Ha Thanks.

I have been at Black Beards when six taxi cabs full of men pulled in from cruise lines. The mamasan Crystal lined all the girls up with the men in the taxis. You won't be the only man looking for fun times, so just ask taxi drivers.

If you are on a cruise and have limited time, I would recommend Blackbeards in Puerto Plata rather than going all the way to Sosua. You can contact them about room availability for short time on the day you will be in Puerto Plata. Read some in the Blackbeard's forum. You can use USD at most places but you will get a poor exchange rate and change in pesos. I recommend exchanging your money but it depends on how long you are there and how many transactions you make.

I been reading a lot in the forum, and the problem I have is the lack of girl and effort from the BB forum. Effort is a big thing for me back home. I mostly do GFE agency back home.

I really want to go to Sosua, but sadly, I'm the only one going bc everyone else chicken out. The taxi is over 120 round trip from the port. The ship will be there from 7-4, but I want to be back on the ship by no later than 2:30. Sosua is the reason why I travel so much to other countries but never here. Next year I will go to Cuba again and Europe. I don't know.

Yes, most do it without having to ask, in my experience.

You are still overthinking. Again, Sosua is small. Everyone walks everywhere or takes motorbike taxis. The only people that will be in vehicles are the guys staying far in the villas. And yes they are willing to go back with you because that is what they are in Sosua for.

I have never met a woman in Sosua or pretty much anywhere, who would refuse to take a shower in my room. Sometimes, when I catch a bad odor during the, hmm, proceeding, I even send them back in. Whether it helps or not is another story.

Yeah, but BB is way out in the middle of nowhere, with hardly anything to do in the immediate area. Feels like the biggest advantage there is the likelihood of getting robbed is quite low.

I'm not too cool with the idea of browsing the streets. Are the girls out in the open during the daytime? No telling when they last showered, and are they really willing to follow you all the way back to your hotel? Seems like a good setup to get robbed.

Dude Sosua is like 2 blocks. It is a vacation beach town. If you were to resort to Tinder, guess who is going to show up? One of the chicks that he just told you that you would see outside. So you are wasting your time with that. Plus all they are going to do is jack up the price and tell you to pay for a taxi for a distance they have walked. Do not overthink it.

Are you thinking of getting a room without a shower? Nobody is going to rob you in Sosua. They may pickpocket you and they may creep things that you do not have put away. But nobody is going to say give me all of your money or you are dead. It is not that kind of place. Like the man said, all you need is shorts, flip flops, and money.
