They say you don't miss it truly until it's gone. I hope you're right Olski. My last trip I cut short because I took the sSue out the rotation. I'm still not going to jump in headfirst. I know the Dominican's love challenge is America two weeks. That could very easily be two months in Dominican time. Or maybe just a ploy to get that Super Bowl money that the city would love to cash in. I'm headed to the DR however I'm going to sit on the fence and observe for a few trips before I make that move northward.

But we are up on the new information. I feel sorry for those who already made their vacation plans, arrive their and have to make some major adjustment.

Yes, I think she does. Had my usual baked fish at Big Mama last month, and she did not give me my regular-customer discount for the first time, in spite of my hints.

This is Tinders / Whatsapp all the way for me, now. Annhavee is just a so-so brothel. You get better girls and lot more fun at any FKK now, for not that much more.

    Do not dispair

I hear Classicos and many of the shut down facilities willl be open in 2 weeks. They must have heard thtat I was coming down and the day before I get there they are opening up. I am sure t will take a while for everyone to regroup but there is hope.

A Real Bummer But At Least The Beach Is The Same-The Good Old Days Are Gone

Decided to hit Sosua in route back to Medellin to start the New Year. Things sure aren't what they used to be with most of the places on the main drag shut down. No street scene anymore except a few stragglers and there's a bar across the street from Rocky's that's had a few girls out in the evening but they are primarily Haitains, and the bottom of the barrel.

I remember the good old days when you could sit on the main drag sipping a beer, and watch the Putas walking up and down the street, strutting their stuff, but no more. I always loved the street scene here, and when Latinos was around I liked that place as well.

I did pick up a box of Generic Viagra with 96 pills which cost 1100 Pesos or about $ 21 USD or about. 22 twenty two cents a 100 MG pill, so quite a bargain for sure.

So if your coming to Sosua, well the beach is great, and the Viagra is cheap.

Besides going to the new place at the end of town where all the girls go now, probably the best way to work this place is using Tinder.

You can look like Alferd E. Newman and you will get dozens and dozens of hits, so best line them up before arriving and screen them, get their WhatsApp number, etc.

I have been staying at Alicia Beach Hotel, formerly CasaCayena, and it's pretty much the same as before but literally vacant. Got my same old room # 309 which took them a year to renovate and I like the location.

Other than that, what a letdown Sosua has been, maybe one day it will return its glory days. I have such fond memories of this place, but have moved on.

Things were slow chica wise, as expected for the holidays. But my WhatsApp team took good care of papi! Did 1 new chica off the beach who was great.

Things are a little slow with all the closures. Mainly did the small bars. Went to ahnvee 3 times. Mainly because friends dragged me there. Drinks are double any where else. Hit the casino a few times. Same ole.

Rumor is merengue and flow will be open soon. Not sure about classico.

Sosua lives! Be back in a few months. Peace!
To keep Classico closed permanently some genius has to figure out why a second floor after hours disco (where no sexual activity is allowed) is out of place in a resort party town.

Even "family" couples of all sexes love to get down to the music while on vacation!

I can't agree with you more. Had Rumbas not closed I would have been a regular to the DR up to today. I'm monitoring news about it being posted here; I'm hopeful.

Military and Police are above the law

The mayor has the military and police in her pocket. They will try to get their way one way or the other. Her pride is on the line. Things are escalating in this fight of egos. If she loses it makes her look really bad.

I have met quite a few girls at Rumba. Freelancers from local area come there early to make some money. Some like to go back home but others would like to stay all night. I would prefer not going to merengue or Classico. Lots of hard core chicas at merengue and Classico does not get hopping till after 1 am.

Hopefully the word gets around and chicas from all over come back to Sosua. Military and the police behavior needs to be watched. Do not know if they are controlled by mayor's office or from central administration.

    I miss Rumbas

A Sosua veteran told me that a long time ago, Rumba was an open-air bar where the WGs could be easily seen inside just by standing on the sidewalk outside. And then a few years ago, the local politicians made Rumba enclose itself with smoked-glass windows so that you couldn't see inside anymore.

Take a look at the attached picture that I ripped off from the SosuaNews website. It shows that all of the smoked glass windows have been removed and that Rumba will once again be an open air establishment.

Now, the question: who in their right mind would ever open anything (bar, restaurant, nightclub) in Sosua given the ridiculous rules that constantly emanate from the feckless Sosua "leadership?" And those same people are running for reelection again? Unbelievable!

    Christmas Break

Got back from Sosua after a week.

    1. Got an Uber driver from Santiago downtown to take me to Sosua. The Uber quote, he stated was about 1800 pesos. I paid him 2000 to drop me to Sosua. Originally I had rented a car but those idiots from Nelly insisted on an Insurance package and so I said, f. It, took a carrito to the bus station but it being a Sunday, buses were on a delayed schedule and it was just then I bumped into this "uber" driver.

    2. Sosua was nice and warm, indeed it was almost sweaty. Mango trees were in bloom but unfortunately no mango to speak of, to eat. As I do not have any reason to go to downtown, I made it a point to go around and it was kind of amazing to see many restaurants and all bars closed. After Christmas however, several restaurants were open and as I sat drinking an expresso, followed by a grappa, at the Cuban Bar, there were a bunch of people sitting there on the sidewalk having big meals. The group included even babies and I thought it was rather nice. The Canadian Hamburger place at the corner was open too, as was the place in front of the smaller Playero and fortunately the Schnitzel place. Food apparently is not a problem.

    3. I did see a quite a few women still walking about but with the main locations shuttered, the glory days were seen in the rearview mirror. As we know, to find women, in Sosua, one does not have to try hard. In any case, I did not find anyone on the street worth the while.

    4. I mostly went to Cabarete to eat at the restaurant at the Viva place, called Beach side. Excellent food, not to speak of the location. Those that are romantically inclined, I suggest they take their arm / eye candies over there.

So there it was, an uneventful week, with two women. One in the morning and one in the afternoon each day, showing up at my place and no talk of a blue pill. I even surprised myself! I have a sneaky suspicion though that my male member is enjoying the respite after all that abrasion.

    Happy New Year, all!
