Last year I was asked from 1 K-1. 5 K on the street to 2 K-2. 5 K in a club. I normally paid 1. 5 K and everyone was happy. Never paid more than 2 K. Price gotten up?

May be the change in the exchange rate, and cost of living. The DOP is now worth 50 to the Dollar. Just guessing, but I think a year ago, the rate was 40/45 to $1. The difference works out to about $7. Of course they always ask for more, but I presume the acceptable rate on the street is what goes.

Indeed it's funny I never told him he was overspending. I just told him what we were paying. Sosua playa is doing a smart thing by trying to find out at least what's the current rates for service.

I met a guy in the DR and every time I turn around I see someone in his face begging him for money. He was a giving hearted person. I pulled him over to us and talk with him for a second.

On an average he was giving about $75 a day to beggars including the police. Not all at once an extra five dollars here $10 there. He had been doing that since he arrived and he was 4 days on his 6 day vacation.

He noticed while he was hanging with us no one came to bother him. (Well 1 hustler did try to separate him from us) he really enjoyed the relaxation. Later he saw a chica he was interested in and I negotiated 2000 pesos all night on his behalf. He told me he normally gives $100 up front before the Chica ask that way the Chica doesn't up charge him. He said his sessions have been decent but sometimes he wished the Chica could stay all night. I looked at the chica who I negotiated with and told her if you fuck the shit out of my friend I will give you another 500 pesos. She dapped me up in agreement.

When the bill arrived he offered to pay for our drinks and food. You should have seen the snakes look when he can reach for his wallet. I told him to put his money away. It's my day to buy drinks for the group. When the bill came I notice it was 230 pesos more. I called the waitress over, pointed it out, and she apologized and made the correction. He thought it was funny. I told him if the Dominicans don't see me respecting my money they would not respect me. When in DR You must do as the Dominicans.

Later when I saw him he told me that Chica stayed all night, left at 2:00 pm and gave him three sessions with BBBJ all for the 2500 pesos. He said she was better than all four Chicas he had thus far. She offered to stay with him for the rest of his duration for 6000 pesos. He couldn't believe the deal he was offered.

I told him the only thing better than a good vacation is a good inexpensive vacation. I teased him and told him we all in my group can afford to give a Chica $200 a session but why? If we wanted to do that we would go to Vegas or Costa Rica! I turn him on to ISG. I left the following day so I never saw him again after that. I hope he enjoyed the rest his vacation.

One page prior, someone mentioned an average ST price of 2000 pesos (at an exchange rate of 50 DOP to the US dollar, that's only 40 bucks).

In Sosua its all negotiable, but even at 2500 pesos, you'd only be paying $50. If an extra $10 for sex is a problem, maybe you can't afford it. Your biggest expenses will be air fare and accommodations, depending on the length of your stay.

Another forum member once opined that if you have to pinch pennies on your vacation, its better to save up enough so that its not a matter of concern.

I've never been here for super bowl. But I hear zthe prices are nuts! I was here for the mayweather vs pacquaio fight and everyone was price gouging. Anya other time you could find a lot of chicas who will accept 2500 pesos. In my opinion that's a good deal. If you want oral without a condom you should tell her up front. A lot of chicas want to do condom blow jobs. The phase is. Amor, sexo con condom pero tu me chupas sin condom.

In my opinion Schwab is the way to go. I'll take out enough cash for 3 days then go back. I usually bring enough cash to cover the hotel. 1. I am flying into POP, but I flying back out of STI. My plan is to stay in Sosua until Sunday and then take a bus from Sosua to Santiago and stay a night so I am close to the STI airport to catch my flight on Monday. Is this a good idea or should I avoid the hassle and just fly into and fly out of POP?

2. Where would you recommend staying? I am thinking Europa, New Garden, or finding a place of AirBnB because that is the cheapest option by far.

3. Is mongering in Sosua doable if you don't speak a word of Spanish?

Using your Charles Schwab is a great benefit. I use it too and yes they reimburse all of your fees. Cash is king so just bring dollars and exchange them there. Western Union has the best rate (bring passport) or the guys on the street are pretty good. Never had any issues with them and it's usually the current rate. Beware of that character down the street on Pedro Clisente by the dive shop. Little hole in the wall of a place. He WILL short you. Did it to me twice and I told him what I thought of him each time. He's open late and I guess he figures you are too drunk or dumb to count your money. In any event always recount your pesos before you leave in front of them and make them show you the exchange on a calculator and you will be fine.

For what its worth, large supermarkets also have a money exchange / WU counter. Passport required. There is a Sirena supermarket in Sosua.

Had a blast! Only a few rainy days. Lots of homies in town. It was slow for chicas but that's to be expected this time of year. I did good off my whatsapp. I have a few Chicas who live in charamicos, cabarete and POP.

I kept my price a 2000 pesos and did good. There weren't many guys here, so I took advantage and low balled. I was here last month and paid 2500 frequently. But the Chicas play hard ball so I get a little payback when I can. Plus I'm here a lot so whatever I save I can spend next trip. Which is never far away. Point being it seems to me like the effort to change sosua may be slowly working. Not really surprised. Sosua has a great beach and you can walk everywhere if you want. But the guys who have a network, can speak Spanish and aren't afraid to move around will always find Chicas.

Agree with your advice. I don't expect to be haggling over a $10 difference much in the RD. It's just good to hear from veterans the current rates that chicas have been charging. I am trying to put together a budget accounting for lodging, air fare, food, chicas and other stuff, so it's been really helpful for me to hear these price quotes so I can set a broad budget. Would it be advisable to bring cash and exchange it at a place in the RD? Or, would it be best to use my Charles Schwab card that doesn't charge ATM fees or foreign exchange fees?

I was in Sosua last superbowl and had an awesome time. The streets were packed with girls and the quaity was very good. The party atmosphere was excellent. I felt like I was in the best frat party ever. The prices were no different. There were hundreds of girlls looking to get paid. The think everyone should experience it one time. Getting a hotel or accomodation need to be arranged early because the place does fill up.

Yes, avoid Superbowl weekend. More chicas for sure, but also more guys, harder to get your choice of dwelling, and chica prices go up.
