I did not answer this originally, because I did not see the point of the question since SubCom lives in the DR and clearly knows the answer, which is obvious, and the meaning of the word is not much different from the English analog "clear", but for anyone whose Spanish is at an earlier stage, the word means, "clear", "clearly", "of course", "yes", "OK", "obviously", "sure", "light-colored", depending on context. Claro is also the name of a local cell phone provider, suggesting that they have a clear signal. Indio claro means a skin color that is in between white and brown. This has nothing to do with India Pale Ale. "Claro que si" is a common expression meaning something like "that is for sure!" Claro can also be used as a filler word that has no particular meaning.

I hate this word meaning use all the time but mostly by females. I thought it mean "agreed " which is not far away from "of course".

They did not nickel and dime me in January. They gave me a deal $75 cash per night for three nights breakfast and dinner included. I'm staying at is the Europa Hotel right now because the Alicia hotel wanted $85 for that same Bungalo room only breakfast no dinner. Thier policy changed. I'm paying $40 a night at the Eroupa Hotel and the $45 I save pays for breakfast, lunch and dinner. BTW 1000 pesos is closer to $20 the rate as of today was 49.25 pesos for one dollar.

Thank you for your informative and educational post. Although it's not directly related to mongering in Sosua, I found it helpful. Anytime one can improve their communication skills it helps with normal relationships and mongering. I'm not a know it all. One of my new go to irls is in Sosua tryng sell her boody but the streets are empty. She sent me videos and pictures of the street scene and believe me there is no body on the streetss.

I went in today and christened the place with a Corona. Rumbas is indeed open but is working on the Bourbon Street business model. It is primaily a restaurant but does allow the girls to come in and buy drinks. So you can mix with the girls while they nurse their presidentes The prices for food are terrible.

Remember that malo, bueno, and grande each have two different forms that precede and follow the noun, and that they have different meanings. The antecedent form usually signifies a personal feeling about someone, but the other form indicates something more objective. Compare to how in English a 'good friend' is not quite the same thing as a friend who is a good person.

Got to add my two cents. A couple of other points on grammar.

One can also say one is sick, by saying "Yo estoy mal. " (I am sick). Or "El esta mal. " (he is sick). To say "El es malo. " is saying (he is bad / evil).

Getting nit picky here, but the verb for 'is' (ES) is different from (ESTOY) which describes a more temporary condition.

El es malo = he is bad / evil. El esta mal. - he is sick.

Did he use those exact words, "bad girls?" I was talking to a chick that I mess with and called her "chica mala." She got all bent out of shape and I didn't understand why. Finally she explained that "bad girl" meant hooker and not just simply a female that was being bad how I was intending it.

Add a complaint about lack of mongering information, add a echo statement that should have been made in a PM. Throw in a a little name calling and references to unprovable PM's that have been received and we have a post long on personal promotion but short on actual information.

Despite the number of individuals that want to focus on personal attacks and being critical, The Cmdr. Will stick with being informative and sharing my opinion.
